Ne-Yo (born Shaffer Chimere Smith on October 18, 1982) is an American Contemporary R&B and pop singer, songwriter, producer, dancer and actor. His discography includes six studio albums, two compilations and sixteen singles.

To date, he has attained nine top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, six of which reached the top ten. In addition to his work as a recording artist, he has also written and produced songs for artists such as Rihanna, Beyoncé, Céline Dion, Whitney Houston, Carrie Underwood and Enrique Iglesias.
