I'ma break you off, let me be your motivation
To stay and give it tonight
And, baby, turn around, let me give you innovation
Hey, 'cause I do it so right
"Motivation"

Normani Kordei Hamilton (born May 31, 1996), known mononymously as Normani, is an American singer and dancer. She auditioned as a solo act for the American television series The X Factor in 2012, after which she became a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony.

Normani competed in Dancing with the Stars and released the song "Love Lies," a duet with Khalid, which was featured on the soundtrack of Love, Simon. "Love Lies" debuted in the US at number 43, marking the highest US chart debut by a girl group member. It peaked in the top ten in the US and was certified 4× Platinum by RIAA.

Following Fifth Harmony's indefinite hiatus, Normani collaborated with several artists, and released a two-song EP with Calvin Harris, Normani x Calvin Harris. Her duet with Sam Smith, "Dancing With A Stranger," reached the top ten in the UK and US. In August 2019, Normani released her first single without a featured artist, "Motivation," which peaked in the Top 40. She later collaborated with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj on the Charlie's Angels (2019) soundtrack, and "Diamonds" with Megan Thee Stallion for the soundtrack of the film Birds of Prey (2020).

Despite her highly impressive record as a soloist (in merely two years, she accumulated three billion streams on Spotify — counting feature singles), the official release date of a full-length solo album is still unknown, although she has said it's completely finished. In July 2021, the album's official lead single, "Wild Side", featuring an appearance from rapper Cardi B was released.
