- Chasing the Moon gives us a platonic version (that potentially overlaps with Vitriolic Best Buds). Karin and Yumichika are fourth and fifth seat of the Eleventh Division respectively, and Yumichika constantly bemoans the fact that she won't even try to be beautiful, while Karin just wants him to stop messing with her clothes. She's actually dating Toshiro, and they're not an example of this trope.
- Child of the Storm:
- Carol Danvers is The Lad-ette, a Hot-Blooded tough as nails Action Girl and Passionate Sports Girl with a never say die attitude far more literally than most, as Gravemoss finds out. She is quite literally too stubborn to die and a somewhat spiky personality. Jean-Paul Beaubier is a very Camp Gay Fragile Speedster, and very pretty Chivalrous Pervert. However, it's also played: Carol has a softer, dorkier side, and a vulnerable edge beneath the spikes. Jean-Paul's attitude, meanwhile, is largely (but perhaps not entirely) a façade designed to throw people off and when it drops... well. Let's just say that there's a reason that he's quite possibly the most dangerous person in Harry's friend group.
- Harry and Carol also have something of this dynamic - though it's an Anchored Ship, so not strictly romantic - about them, with Harry being the more softly spoken, outwardly emotional and sensitive of the two. He's also rather dorky, a bit bashful and has hints of Children Are Innocent (until after chapter 71, anyway). However, 'outwardly emotional' also means 'is Hot-Blooded, doesn't like injustice and has stopped repressing his temper' and he gets steadily more and more authoritative as time goes by.
- Carol's also a textbook example with the older of her younger brothers, Stevie - she's a tall, Statuesque Stunner Action Girl who captains her school football team, while he's a slightly built, quiet, artsy boy who would much prefer to be working on his sketch book than playing sports. Between the two of them, they reflect different traits inherited from their great-grandfather Steve.
- Children of an Elder God: Asuka and Shinji are a couple. Asuka is bold, outspoken, hot-blooded and domineering and belligerent; Shinji is shy, quiet, insecure and peace-keeping. When they interact, Asuka is bolder, more blunt and more aggressive than Shinji, who is more passive and calms her down when she gets angry with someone.
- Prehistoric Earth: Animal handler Jack is the excitable and thrillseeking unofficial second in command of the titular prehistoric wildlife park's animal rescue team who eagerly goes rushing into situations at the first opportunity who ends up dating the very tough and no nonsense security guard Colette Dubois, who always looks before she leaps.
- Voyages of the Wild Sea Horse: Zigzagged with Miriam Ransdottir and Harumi Tsukuyomi. Miriam's a 4 1/4 meter tall Amazonian Beauty who eats like a garbage disposal, belches hard enough to blow plates off of a table, uses ship's anchors as her weapon of choice, and once responded to the sight of a Sea Monster threatening her boyfriend by ripping its head off with her bare hands and teeth. Harumi, on the other hand, is a extremely pretty boy and Wholesome Crossdresser who is always smiling and very soft spoken. But Miriam's a Tomboy with a Girly Streak who shares traits like a love of romance novels with her boyfriend, whilst Harumi is an aspiring master swordsman who won't hesitate to maim or kill to protect his crewmates.
- FNAFNG: Paradigma and Enigma, Springtrap and Marionette's children, have this dynamic. Enigma, is very outgoing and brash, unafraid to speak her mind, while Paradigma, her twin brother, is very shy, not one to hold a conversation with others.
- Gravity Falls Rule 63: The genderbent Pines twins, Dana and Marcus, are a nonromantic example. Dana is very tomboyish and likes listening to rock groups, while Marcus wears pink and likes My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Their personalities even are shown on their sleepwear.◊
- What Lies Beneath: Astrid and Hiccup have this dynamic. Astrid is the fighter of the two and is a more natural leader, willing to threaten anyone who says anything bad about her family. Hiccup however acts more as a House Husband that takes on more initiative in parenting Zephyr and prefers the seclusion of domestic life and forging to avoid the rest of the villagers.
- The Lion King Adventures: Tama and Tojo qualify. To elaborate, Tama is a grouch and a tough fighter who Hates Baths, while Tojo is a squeaky-voiced nerd with underdeveloped claws and is meticulously clean.
- A platonic example in The Story of Apollo, Daphne and Luca: An Italian Tragedy with brash and fearless Giulia Marcovaldo and shy, soft-spoken Luca Paguro.
- Too Much Too Much: Vallea is a spunky and adventurous Adventure Archaeologist who enjoys adventures and sports, while Luca is shy, soft-spoken and sensitive.
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
- In Dash's New Mom, Rainbow Dash's father, Blue Streak, and (biological) mother, Firefly, were a librarian and world class athlete respectably.
- Unchained: Uchiha Izuna is a fearless Action Girl who has pretended to be a boy since she was nine-years-old, has quite a reputation as The Casanova and aggressively acts to make her plans a reality — by symbolically unmanning Senju Tobirama whom she takes as her concubine, acting as the breadwinner and socially dominant spouse. On Tobirama's side, being a Girl in the Tower means he's forced to learn manipulation by using sex, dressing up for his Lord-Wife and letting his hair grow out, and he also learns cord-braiding to cure his boredom.
- In Advice and Trust, Asuka is brash, tomboyish, loud and loves fighting very much. Shinji is soft-spoken, meek, girly and their apartment's House Husband.
- Evangelion 303: Shinji is a House Husband and he is calm, sensitive, shy and soft-spoken; Asuka is a Fiery Redhead Action Girl and she is Hot-Blooded, short-tempered, abrasive, prideful and the best Ace Pilot in the base.
- HERZ: Asuka is a tomboyish, hot-blooded, angry, tough-like-nails soldier. Shinji is meek, quiet, non-confrontational and feminine-looking. They are married.
- Neon Metathesis Evangelion: The only thing feminine about Rei is her girls' school uniform. And Asuka is loud, brash, enjoys fighting, enjoys rebelling against authority and antagonizing people... Meanwhile, Shinji would like nothing more to step away from fighting, is rather meek and shy, cooks well, can mediate between Asuka and Rei... Misato even calls that out."You know, that really isn't what I expected when I took you in. I know you said you'd pilot if you could right now, and I believe you, but let's be honest... you never liked it. This, though... you were positively glowing at the meal. So... a boy who would rather cook than pilot. Yeah, I really wasn't expecting that. But screw that. You want to cook? You're right, it's something you can do. Honestly, without your influence I think the two girls would have clawed each other's eyes out by now. So don't think it's nothing. So, if you'd rather do that than piloting, you'd still be contributing."
- In The Second Try, Shinji and Asuka are married. She’s bold and straightforward, and he's quiet and non-confrontational. During the After the End section of the story, Asuka took care of physical chores like farming and maintaining their equipment as Shinji was tasked with the household chores and medical care. Asuka usually drove the two of them, made plans and handled everything while he calmed her down when she was angry or reassured her when she was depressed. She also loves fighting while he loathes it.
- In Opposite Day, Isabella does the impossible daily while Phineas has an obsessive crush on her.
- The Joys and Sorrows of Young Charles Finster gives us Charles Finster and Melinda Cavanaugh. When they were in elementary school, Melinda was a Farm Girl Tomboy who, among other things, liked to have Filthy Fun and play high-energy sports like kickball, whereas Charles was, and still is, a Sickly Neurotic Geek who is In Touch with His Feminine Side. They also count as Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl.
- Lampshaded in this untitled story, where Jaune is a cheerleader and Pyrrha is a jock.Author: Feminine Jaune/Masculine Pyrrha feeds my soul.
- In Service with a Smile, Jaune opens a coffee shop in Vale, and remains mostly humble, milquetoast, and timid. He ends up dating the hardened, crass, and assertive Militia Malachite, who all but drags him into a relationship.
- Total Drama Island (Genderbend) has delinquent Denica and control freak Curtis in a Gender Flipped story.
- Total Drama Legacy has Skave and Keith. Skave is tomboyish, athletic, fierce, and competitive, while Keith is sensitive, neurotic, romantic, and easily scared.
- Jigsaw: Saori isn't tomboyish and Takatsuki isn't feminine, but Saori is more assertive and confident then the more awkward and wishy-washy Takatsuki.
- I Woke Up As a Dungeon, Now What? has Maryk and Mariynn Norydd. Maryk is a Pretty Boy who serves as a spy and favors feminine disguises, while Mariynn is a woman with a strong jaw, blocky build, and short-cropped hair and is the commander of the Fort Duvos garrison.
