• Sadist Teacher:
  • Takeuchi forces his student Kanade to get in the swimming pool despite her problems with periods. He even goes as far as to push her into the pool.
  • Ruru Kawai favored the boys over the girls in her class. She doles out harsher punishments on the girls, especially Haru. She failed Haru just out of pettiness, claiming that she has messy handwriting even though it was a math test.
  • Coach Miyu liked to flaunt her attractive body in swimming class instead of doing her job; she acted sweet around the boys and picked on the girls' appearances whenever they complained about her problematic behavior. Moreover, when Coach Kairi came over, she tried to seduce him and even compared Ram to herself, but he reprimanded her for her behavior.
• Sarcasm-Blind: In this story, Mami tries to put down Kanade with her sarcastic comments, but Kanade's inability to catch sarcasm leads to Kanade unwittingly put Mami off-balance and drive her away.
• Scars Are Ugly:
  • "Why did my sister invite me to the pool with a scar on my stomach": Erica thinks this after she got a scar on her stomach after saving her stepdaughter Snow White from a car crash.
  • "Husband's parents broke the marriage because of a scar on my face. →I tell them my assets ..." [sic]: Ram was abused by her in-laws for the birthmark on her face and went out of their way to drive her away from their son Kairi. At Ram's wedding day, they went full-out with the abuse and ruined Ram's dress.
  • 'At my sister's wedding, I was kicked out, saying, "Go home, you monster with burn scars..."': Kanade was bullied by her younger sister Hanae because of a burn scar over her eye, for which she called Kanade a "monster". Later on, Narita reveals Kanade got the scar while saving him from a fire.
• School Swimsuit: Becomes a plot point in I was forced to enter the contest, but my brother, a former yakuza, helped me out when Kanade got her bikini cut off by Maria before she could wear it, forcing her to wear a school swimsuit her older brother Kairi hid in her bag.
• Schoolyard Bully All Grown Up: Rino bullied Haru in elementary school. Years later, they meet again after marrying their respective husbands and becoming mothers. Much to Haru's chagrin, she still wants to remind Haru of those days.
• Screw the Rules, I Have Connections!: Yuka, one of Narita's students, drove away many teachers before him. She did this because she's the granddaughter of the school's Chairman and her mom, Toshiko, told her not to listen to any "young man".
• Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: Ikki-san gives lawyers tons of money to get them off his back, and this is why Nonoka couldn't escape him after finding out he's a misogynistic abuser.
• Screw the Rules, I'm Beautiful!: "Pretentious coworker with 6 boyfriends flirts with my fiancé.But it will be exposed ..." [sic] - Moka Kiyoi used her looks to seduce and manipulate men into doing what she wanted, especially chewing out any female coworker who dared to even suggest she do her job. However, her luck runs out when she tries to seduce Chief Kairi on the company trip, who sees through her tricks and reveals her secret affairs with six boyfriends, who all turn on her after finding out about each other's relationship with Moka, with Kairi having her transferred to a remote branch with only elderly employees.
• Screw This, I'm Outta Here: In "Pretentious coworker with 6 boyfriends flirts with my fiancé.But it will be exposed ..." [sic], when Kairi exposes Moka's affair with six male coworkers, Tanaka, Suzuki, Sato, Endo, Takahashi, and Ota, they all admit to dating her and start bickering over who's her boyfriend. While Moka takes advantage of their quarrel to make a break for it, the six lovers quickly catch on and hold her accountable before she can even leave the venue.
  Moka's Lovers: Moka, what's the meaning of this!?
  Moka Kiyoi: (Oh no, I didn't get away in time...)
• Secretly Wealthy: A few stories feature an antagonist making fun of the protagonists for supposedly being poor, only to be later revealed that they are richer than the antagonist.
  • "After being taunted with a wheelchair on a graduation trip and left at a train station": Wheelchair-user Kanade turns out to be the heiress of a Zaibatsu family with connections to a certain company, giving her a special offer of 10,000 yen per person a night for her graduation trip.
  • "Husband's parents broke the marriage because of a scar on my face. →I tell them my assets ..." [sic]: After Ram was abused by her in-laws on her wedding day for going through with her marriage with their son Kairi, she reveals she is the heiress of a hotelier family whose assets amount to 5 million yen. It doesn't convince the couple from trying to drive Ram away, so Kairi summons the "Punicure quartet" to issue a punishment.
  • 'At my sister's wedding, I was kicked out, saying, "Go home, you monster with burn scars..."': After Hanae ruined Kanade's makeup and dress to expose her scar out of spite for attending her wedding, Kanade reveals she's the CEO of a cosmetics company and takes over her wedding alongside her fiancé Alto in retaliation.
• Self-Deprecation: Kanade does this whenever she introduces herself in stories where she's the protagonist. Female antagonists do this as well when adopting a burikko persona to manipulate men.
• Serial Homewrecker: After failing to steal Chief Kairi from Ram, Shiho becomes the target of rumors about her messing around with people's fiancés.
• Shameful Strip:
  • "The woman who makes a fool of me for not taking off my shirt→she was surprised when I took..." [sic]: Satomi forcibly takes off Kanade's hoodie to make her the pool's laughingstock, only to find out she has a nice body.
  • "If the bride gets into a bathing suit, will the groom pledge his love" [sic]: Erica forces Ram to re-attend her wedding with Kairi wearing nothing but her bridal veil and a red bikini. Turns out this was a ploy by Kairi's parents to embarrass Ram and dissuade her from marrying him.
  • "A woman who is not confident in her figure participates in a contest! How is the result……" [sic]: Ayame, Yuri, and Tsubaki bullied Ram at the hot spring and tried to take her towel off to shame her even further. However, their stunt is foiled when Ram's daughter Lily scares them off by screaming there was a gorilla in the hot spring.
  • "MIL makes fun of the scar on my stomach and tries to embarrass me at the pool but ends up...": Toshie-san tried all sorts of things to make Kanade take off her rash guard at the pool and reveal the scar on her stomach so everyone will make fun of her and thus her son Alto will divorce her. However, Alto intervenes on her behalf and calls his mother out for bullying Kanade, cutting ties with her.
• Show Some Leg: In some stories, the antagonist will resort to using their looks and charm to make the FMC's Love Interest fall for her, but ends up failing as he sees right through her tricks.
  • "Pretentious coworker with 6 boyfriends flirts with my fiancé.But it will be exposed ..." [sic]: Moka Kiyoi opens her yukata as a ploy to seduce Chief Kairi on the hot-spring company trip, but he sees right through her and commends her for being good at "making guys fall for [her] every time." When Moka claims to have never been in a relationship, he swiftly exposes her affair with six men in the company in response.
  • "A woman pretending to be cute and courting a boy on a school trip, what is her true nature?": On their school trip to a hot-springs inn, Maki uses this with her burikko persona when Casino and Kairi propose a pillow fight, by claiming she was scared of pillow fights, all in response to Kanade getting the guys' attention from her. Ram, who watched Maki's manipulative antics from the side, is livid at her.
• Shower of Love: A pregnant Ram catches her husband Yoshikazu showering with another woman named Misa despite supposedly having a cold. It turns out he faked it and took advantage of Ram being away at the hospital to cheat on her. Angered, she takes photos as evidence of the affair and then locks the lovebirds inside the shower by nailing down several tables to the door.
• Shrinking Violet:
  • Noriko from The visualization of women's power has led to a major reversal of life. is bullied by Erica for being a plain girl. When numbers appeared on everyone's heads that measure femininity, the former had a 100, while Erica's was a zero.
  • Yuka from An experienced woman mounting with male experience. However... is an office lady bullied by Moeka and her Girl Posse.
  • In A classmate makes fun of me for being skinny and plain a few years later, Kanade is a clumsy, plain girl, complete with twin braids and Opaque Nerd Glasses. She is bullied by other girls, especially by Karin.
• Slasher Smile: Hidemi flashes one when shoving a pregnant Erica down a flight of stairs.
• Space Whale Aesop:
  • If you steal your sister's husband, any kid(s) she may have from him will lie to you about her new man next time you try. The fact they are tricking you into undergoing rape by deception will be nothing compared to what comes after, be it disownment, robbery, destitution, single motherhood, Domestic Abuse, or even outright rape after the realization. Furthermore, you will deserve all of it for trying to ruin your sister's happiness.
  • Don't you try to befriend well-off housewives to mooch off of them, especially for free meals in luxurious restaurants. Either their Wise Beyond Their Years kids will intervene and put a stop to your behavior, or the housewife will be at a different venue than the one you thought she'd attend. And if that happens, you will have to Work Off the Debt for the "free meals" you tried to mooch off of.
  • Don't force the "plain" girl into a Beauty Contest just to embarrass her and thus make yourself even prettier in comparison. The "plain" girl you've just bullied will receive a pep talk from the guy you're after and thus reveal she's far prettier than you, ruining your plan, and the guys who once pined for you will pine for her instead. Moreover, if you make the mistake of blowing up at her for winning, those same guys will despise you for it.
  • "After being taunted with a wheelchair on a graduation trip and left at a train station": Don't bully the one girl in a wheelchair and hijack her graduation trip to Disneyland with a special discount. She may be from a Zaibatsu family with connections to one of the most powerful companies in the world, and therefore you'll end up screwing yourself out of the discount and slave away at a part-time job after your parents front you for the original price.
  • "My parents left me on a deserted island, and ten years later I became a yakuza": Don't single out, enslave, and eventually abandon your older daughter in an uncharted island just because she's illegitimate. Otherwise, she'll find a home among the Yakuza and marry the leader, who will enslave you along with your beloved younger daughter for all the abuse you heaped on his wife.
• Spoiled Brat:
  • Aki got herself into a huge debt for spending too much on nightclubs. She disappeared, leaving such debt to her family. Years later, she showed up at her sister Haru's doorstep to ask her for money but then tried to coerce her possessions out of her until she saw a photo of Narita.
  • Sayuri became spoiled all her life since she was the first girl her parents had. Furthermore, she squanders money on frivolities and always begs her sister-in-law Ram to give her money. She then steals and sells a card given to her niece Haru by her friend Alto. From then on, Ram isn't having any of her shenanigans and tells her off. When Sayuri gloats to Ram that she stole the latter's credit card to spite her, she reveals that it's Kairi's and he doesn't use it anymore.
  • Momo was spoiled rotten by her parents and she defaulted on paying bills. However, this ends up causing her and her parents' undoing when she does this at a Yakuza restaurant.
  • Natsu was spoiled rotten by her parents since she was cuter than her older sister Haru. However, once Haru reveals to her and her dad that she is the daughter of another man, she despairs and starts overeating it off, much to her mother's dismay.
• Stage Mom: Akie from 'Because I was visually impaired,My mother said "You're a child I don't want."' [sic] plans to profit off of her blind daughter Sae's artistic career upon finding out she became famous despite abandoning Sae for surviving being pushed in front of a car with only her eyesight lost. Moreover, she caused the accident to run off with her lover.
• Staircase Tumble: Hidemi from "My husband's ex-girlfriend pushed me, a pregnant woman, down the stairs, but actually..." shoved a pregnant Erica down a flight of stairs thinking she was the one who "stole" Alto from her. However, her plans are foiled because an also-pregnant Kanade was in the way and catches Erica.
• Stalker with a Crush: Takeuchi is revealed to be Kanade's secret stalker. after the school reunion party. Karin took advantage of this and lied to him about Kanade asking him out in revenge for becoming prettier and more popular than her. Haru's secret investigations on the guy also confirm it.
• Stay in the Kitchen: In this story, while Ram and her fiancé Kinoshita-kun are eating, he tries to convince her to become a housewife instead of working once they marry. However, Ram disagrees and insists on keeping working, only to be told that "children are for mothers to watch". She leaves afterward.
• Strong Family Resemblance: Onpu resembles a younger version of Kanade and is her daughter. Same with Meru from this earlier video.

T

• Theme Naming: A minor example regarding the title of the channel and the main couple's names. Alto's name is a voice range while Kanade's name means "musical instrument". Her relatives names also count: Onpu means "musical note", and Uta means "song".
• Thinks Like a Romance Novel: In "Girl with revealing outfit scared of boys staring at her→ boy points out her outfit has holes", it's revealed the reason Shiori put on a "weak girl" facade to attract guys was that she read in love mangas that "weak little girls[sic] are popular with the boys". As her gimmick falls apart when Kairi and the other guys got tired of her shtick, Puni remarks her lack of common sense.
  Puni: Both you and the manga are wrong, puni.
• Third-Person Person:
  • "A misunderstood woman who pretends to be a lover when she is not even in a relationship" has Misato refer to herself in the third person. The original Japanese version has her do the same all the time as part of her cutesy gimmick.
  • The original Japanese version of Because I was visually impaired,My mother said "You're a child I don't want." [sic] has the blind Sae refer to herself in the third person and even adds a -chan prefix to her own name to emphasize her innocence.
• Throw 'Em to the Wolves: Whenever the antagonist is in hot water with ruthless people, they will beg the protagonist, whom they abused, for help. However, the protagonist will not only refuse to do so but let the ruthless people take over from there. This is common in stories featuring Ram as the protagonist.
  • "My sister plundered my fiancé! Now my arranged marriage partner is also plundered" [sic]: Years after Nonoka hijacked Ram's arranged marriage to Ikki-san and succeeded only to find out he is a chauvinistic abuser, she enters Ram's apartment hoping the latter would help her. However, Ram still remembers how Nonoka stole her things and even any boyfriend she got, and tells her it was her fault for marrying him even while Nonoka revealed the horrific abuse he put her through. After Ram reveals she knows about Ikki-san's true colors, she coldly pushes Nonoka out of the door, leaving her frantically knocking and pleading to be let back in until the noise dies down, implying Ikki-san took her back home, leaving her fate unknown.
  • "My parents left me on a deserted island, and ten years later I became a yakuza": Ram, who has been left on an uncharted island for being an illegitimate daughter only to end up marrying a Yakuza boss, Kairi, later on, meets her parents and spoiled sister Momo again at a gang-owned restaurant when the girl tried to run off without paying. However, Kairi punishes them on her behalf by sending the mother off to a coal mine, the father to a fishing boat, and Momo into a cabaret for two years.
  • 'The woman who wrecked my car→"My husband is a gangster. Forgive me"': When Kairi reminds Toko-san of the brand-name items she bought and bragged about when she whined about not having enough money to pay the damages to his car, a terrified Toko-san reveals she secretly borrowed money to buy them under her husband's name. The husband, Baccarat, is disgusted by this and leaves her completely at Kairi's mercy.
  • 'My sister who ties up the bride and sprays her with ink→"I can't allow my bro to be happy"': After realizing the "bride" she kidnapped and poured ink on wasn't Yuko, Kota's fiancé, but Erica, daughter of Soprano Corporation's CEO and Baccarat's girlfriend, Miki begs Kota for help. While Baccarat himself left her fate to Kota, the latter decides to cut ties with her and lets the former take her away to have her work as a hostess as punishment.
  • Played with in "Pretentious coworker with 6 boyfriends flirts with my fiancé.But it will be exposed ..." [sic]: When Chief Kairi exposes Moka Kiyoi's six-timing and calls her lovers out, who then start bickering over who's her boyfriend. However, they all caught on and questioned her right as she attempted to flee the venue. Kairi then revealed the lovers each asked him to keep their relationship a secret while asking for his advice. Enraged, Moka chewed them out for not keeping it a secret as she told them, which they took as an admission to her six-timing before turning on her. Kairi then has Moka face the men in another room before transferring her to a remote branch with only elderly employees the next day.
• Time-Freeze Trolling Spree: In "The nerdy boy got a special button that allowed him to stop time. He acts as he pleases..." Takeuchi manipulates Kanade into giving him a time-stopping device she found and uses it for his selfish purposes with impunity, such as painting on Alto's face, break into girls' changing rooms and even stealing food and anime figurines.
• Time Stands Still: In "The nerdy boy got a special button that allowed him to stop time. He acts as he pleases..." Kanade finds a strange device with a Big Red Button and a small blue button to stop and resume time, respectively. She tries to report it to the police until Takeuchi manipulates her into giving it to him.
• Trauma Conga Line: In "On the eve of the wedding, my fiancée was snatched away by a bratty junior colleague..." Ram caught her fiancé Kinoshita-kun dating Shiho in the street at night. She tried to hold her accountable the next day, but Shiho gloated about the deed, causing Ram to grab her right as Kinoshita-kun arrives and takes Shiho's side. Moreover, the cheating couple spread rumors about Ram being a violent bully who wanted to steal Kinoshita-kun from Shiho. When Ram tried to hold her accountable for all of that, she was lambasted by Kinoshita-kun once again. Moreover, Shiho provoked Ram into violence to get the latter isolated and eventually transferred to a subsidiary.
• Twin Switch: Rui impersonated her twin sister Ram to steal Kairi from her. However, the guy she "stole" from Ram wasn't actually Kairi, but Masato, an unemployed young man who crushed on Ram.
• Twisted-Knee Collapse:
  • "My sister plundered my fiancé! Now my arranged marriage partner is also plundered" [sic]: a worn-out Nonoka collapses on her knees after her older sister Ram revealed Ikki-san was a chauvinistic abuser from the beginning and that's why she let her have him.
  Nonoka: You're horrible! You were looking down on me!
  • "Pretentious coworker with 6 boyfriends flirts with my fiancé.But it will be exposed ..." [sic]: Moka Kiyoi deliberately does this while fake-crying after Ram called out her mistakes. Given she uses her beauty to put on a cutesy act and sway her male coworkers to her side, it works and Ram gets harangued by the men for "bullying" Moka.

U

• Ugly All Along:
  • After shoving Kanade into the pool, Mina gets bumped by Alto and falls as well, washing away her makeup and revealing a face plainer than Kanade's. Baccarat is turned off by the sight and decides to woo Kanade instead.
  • After badgering from her brother Baccarat, Miki goes to the water slide with him, his wife Erica, and their daughter Naomi. When it's her turn, she falls upside-down into the water, which washes away her makeup and reveals her real, ugly face.
  • "My friends are fooling others with makeup. When she sweats and her makeup crumbles...": At the hike with Kairi and his friends, Miku tries her best to protect her pretty face from the sweating until she can reapply her makeup in a restroom. However, the sweat already washed off her makeup when Casino, Baccarat, and Takeuchi brought her water and ended up seeing her real, ugly face.
  • "When I went to the beach with a friend who is a makeup fraudster, her makeup came off...": After putting Ram down and flirting with her husband at the beach, Kanae ends up drenched in the face by the kids' water guns, washing off her makeup and revealing her ugly face. Moreover, Casino shows up with Karin to introduce her, only for both of them to call her unattractive.
• Uncanny Valley Makeup:
  • "The girl who makes a fool of me "Your makeup is terrible" → Then I removed my makeup...." [sic]: Kanade attends a singles party wearing too much makeup, which shocks the other guests, with her friend Ram pointing out she should have attended with her normal looks. The story's antagonist Yoshiko mocks her for it to the point of pouring a drink on her.
  • "A woman who is a snobbish self-torturer who changes her attitude in front of men...." [sic]: Junko attends work wearing heavy makeup, which makes the viewer wonder how come the workers fall for her cutesy facade.
  • "In high school → no makeup allowed; as an adult → told that makeup is common sense" [sic]: Kanade comes to school with heavy, misapplied makeup when going to school, unaware of the new teacher's ban on makeup. Years later after being called out, she stopped wearing it until the same teacher, who became director of the company she works at tells her to use makeup like the other female employees. She comes back the next day with even worse makeup than before, which causes the other employees to laugh at her.
  • "My friends are fooling others with makeup. When she sweats and her makeup crumbles...": Ram tries and fails to apply makeup after Miku picks on her appearance for not wearing it and Kairi seemingly calls her cute. When Ram shows off her made-up face, it even scares Puni into thinking she is a ghost.
• Universal-Adaptor Cast: While there are one-off characters, the main characters all have set names, appearance and base personalities, but each story is self-contained and their roles, relationships and age change from one story to the next.
• Unwilling Suspension: When Kanade went to talk with her childhood friend Narita, Baccarat thought she was cheating on him and dragged her back home, hanging her upside down to kill her later. However, her brother Kairi showed up to stop him, only to be knocked down. Just as Baccarat prepared to murder Kairi, he broke free and revealed himself as a police officer.

V

• Vandalism Backfire:
  • Toko stole a car that she thought was Kanade's. When she crashed the car, she had her son Casino vandalize the car and called Kanade to announce the news. Kanade revealed that was her brother Kairi's car, who is part of the yakuza. She was forced to work as a hostess to pay for the damages.
  • Utako spent Kanade's wedding money on expensive clothes to ruin her happiness. When both sisters meet again, she gloats about it, but Kanade reveals that said money was actually Utako's college fund. She changes her heart and becomes a good person, and she is still able to go to college thanks to a student loan from Alto.
  • Erica ruins Kanade's wedding dress because she is jealous of her wedding. When she called Kanade to announce what she did, Kanade revealed that the wedding had been over for a while. Much to Erica's dismay, the dress belonged to Teruyama, who flipped out upon seeing the destroyed dress and banned her from her nail shop. She had a change of heart after the incident and apologized to Kanade.
  • Lisa defaces a bento shop's doors in revenge after her bad review failed to get Kanade fired in revenge for the latter's refusal to give her a free bento from her shop. When she called Kanade to announce the news, Lisa finds out Kanade's workplace is Soprano Bento Shop. The place Lisa defaced, Tenor Bento Shop, actually belongs to her in-laws, of which the MIL got targeted for having purple hair like Kanade. She tries to force Kanade to pay for the damages, but she refuses and hangs up on her. Afterwards, Lisa's husband divorces her and he gets custody of their son.
  • Konomi was so possessive of her brother Narita, she ruined Haru's wedding dress at the storage room to prevent her from marrying him. When she called Haru to gloat about it, she reveals that her actual wedding dress is in her dressing room. When Haru and Narita find her, she is restrained by the staff until her mother Erica shows up and pays for the damages.
• Verbal Tic: The mascot of the channel always says "Puni!" at the end of sentences.
• Villainous Breakdown:
  • In this story, Kiyomi starts throwing fits of anger as Haru starts exposing her lies and Shota's reputation as a playboy. She starts exposing her true colors and cries about how it's all ruined. Her whining stopped when her own parents got sick of her crap and apologized to Haru.
  • "My friend looted my fiancé. Later, she learns the shocking facts at my wedding...": Azusa showed up to Erica and Baccarat's wedding to gloat about how Erica married a bottom-feeder while she's the Soprano IT President's wife. However, her gloating is cut short when Baccarat not only reveals he also directs an IT firm but that Soprano IT went bust six months ago. At first, she didnt' believe it, but after surfing through many news outlets that all reported the same thing, she blamed Erica for not marrying someone better for her to steal, but after being shot down by the newlyweds, Azusa could do nothing but bawl her eyes out in despair before the wedding staff took her away according to Erica's narration.
  • "My sister, who used to make fun of my small breasts, apparently stole my fiancé": One month after Haru hanged up on her sister Ran for trying and failing to steal the former's fiancé, Narita, the last shot of Ran shows her collapsed on the floor and crying. Moreover, Haru narrates that Ran and Shigeru broke up, but the former became destitute because of the loans she took to feed the latter's addiction and has to work several part-time jobs.
    Ran: Why do I have to end up like this~!! [sic]
• Voodoo Doll: Yuka knows how to make wara ningyo and threatens to make such dolls to curse any girl who liked Alto's SNS posts. She even carried one in her bag with Kanade's name written on a paper note attached to it while she took advantage of a drunk Alto.

W

• Walking Swimsuit Scene: Coach Miyu from "Teacher Brags About Her Nice Body → But When A New Teacher Tells Her Something Shocking…" invokes this trope to flaunt her attractive body; she always wears a bikini during swimming class to have the boys fall head-over-heels for her. However, this is deconstructed when the girls and eventually Coach Kairi call her out for her unprofessional behavior. However, the fanservice aspect disappears when she loses her goggles and cap after falling into the swimming pool, revealing her ugly face.
• Wasted Beauty:
  • In "My sister, who thinks she is the most beautiful person in the world, plundered my fiancé," Haru calls her prettier yet treacherous sister Natsuko a "bitch who only has good looks" in response to her gloating about stealing the former's new fiancé. To keep her from causing further trouble to Haru, their mother pushes her out of the house. Granted, she whines about being called that and becomes hellbent on stealing Haru's fiancé.
  • In "My sister plundered my fiancé! Now my arranged marriage partner is also plundered", Ikki-san, the son of the CEO of the company where Ram is working, is described as very handsome, which is why her sister Nonoka stole him from her. However, Ikki is revealed to be an abusive male chauvinist. Ram knew about this, and recounts that Ikki was hated by all the women at the office due to his sexist behaviour, and his father had to bribe people to even get people agree to a marriage interview with him.
• Weasel Co-Worker:
  • A woman who is a snobbish self-torturer who changes her attitude in front of men.... [sic]: Junko forced her assigned jobs on Haru since the latter found the former crying at work. She adopts a burikko persona to manipulate male employees and turn them against Haru if she dared to call her out.
  • "A misunderstood woman who pretends to be a lover when she is not even in a relationship": Misato acts cute to manipulate her male coworkers, even when she doesn't look the part and forces Kanade to do her work for her so she can goof off looking at the mirror.
  • "The result of a junior who pretended to be drunk at a company drinking party clung to a man…": Minami bragged about her beauty and compared Kanade to herself. Moreover, she forced all her workload on her senior coworker Kanade.
• Wedding Smashers: Yuka broke into Alto and Kanade's wedding and claimed she is pregnant with his baby, complete with an ultrasound picture as proof. However, Alto's younger brother Shion quickly busts her scheme by revealing that it was a horse's ultrasound. Yuka broke down and admitted that it was a picture she found on the internet and ran off.
• Weddings in Japan: If the episode features a wedding, it will always be a Western one.
• Where Did We Go Wrong?: Ten years after leaving Ram stranded on an uncharted island to raise her sister Momo as an only child since the former was born from their mother's affair, their parents say something along the lines of this regarding Momo's habit of eating at restaurants and running off without paying, despite the couple having no one but themselves to blame for spoiling Momo and enabling her behaviors.
  Momo's Mother: I don't know why our little Momo has become like this.
  Momo's Father: She's done this several times already this month. Where did our little angel go?
• White-Collar Crime: Kakeru was Alto's former co-worker who got fired for embezzling money. At the start of the story, he tries to goad Alto into investing, but he refuses.
• White Flag: Kanade waves one after so much bragging from Satomi.
• Wholesome Crossdresser: Kazuma is a crossdresser who returned from the USA after graduating high school. Kanade asked for his help to make her parents let her marry Alto, who comes from a poorly-educated family.
• Wise Beyond Their Years: The children of the protagonists often have more common sense than the adult antagonists of the story.
• Work Off the Debt:
  • Aki ate at a restaurant that she could not afford, even breaking an expensive piece and asked her sister Haru to pay for her. When she refused she begged the restaurant owner to allow her work off the debt to avoid jail.
  • Misuzu and her posse call Kanade out on the phone because they have to pay 3 million yen a night at a VIP suite in Disneyland because she isn't present, as they left her behind at the train station. It turns out Kanade is the heiress of a Zaibatsu family with connections to the company, which gave her the 10,000 yen discount for her graduation trip. After Haru took Kanade's phone and hanged up on Misuzu, the bullies' parents paid off the debt for them and they're last seen slaving away at a convenience store five years later.
• Would Hurt a Child: Karin hit Kanade's baby Haru on the head to shut her up because she was annoyed by her crying. Baccarat stopped her before she can hit Haru again.
• Writers Cannot Do Math: This story took place in 1992, and then it time skips to 2022, which is 30 years later, except that the narrative states that it is 20 years later which would make it 2012.

• Yamato Nadeshiko: At the start of this story, Haru narrates that her younger sister Kiyomi looks like the ideal Japanese woman as her name suggests^note The kanji for Kiyomi's name is 清美, which means "pure and beautiful".. The original Japanese version also refers to Kiyomi as this verbatim.
• Yandere:
  • Saya kidnapped his ex-girlfriend Asami when he stopped a fire that occurred at her wedding between her and Yuto. He tried to force her to take him back but she resisted and she was rescued by Ram, by calling her yakuza family and Haru who is a hacker.
  • Takada-kun kidnapped Ram in the middle of her wedding under the guise of a cop and play-arresting her. As it turns out, he took her to his house and it's revealed he was a high-school classmate and stalker of hers. When he was about to beat and have his way with Ram, Kairi shows up with real policemen to arrest Takada.
  • Yuka is obsessed with Alto and forced him to date her. Eventually Alto has had enough and broke up with her, however she was not over him and kept harassing him and his girlfriends. When Alto started dating Kanade, she tried to bust their wedding, claiming that she is pregnant with Alto's baby with an ultrasound picture as proof, but Shion quickly revealed that it was a horse's ultrasound. Yuka broke down and admitted that it was a picture that she found on the internet and ran off.
• You Are Fat: In this story, Utako mocks her sister Kanade for being fat.
• You Monster!:
  • "Her parents doted only on her younger sister, but she would learn the truth about her parents": Haru and Natsu's mother treats the former like this after revealing the latter was product of her affair with another man.
    Natsu & Haru's Mother: Haru! You're too harsh! You're and ogre! A demon!
  • "I heard that my husband was absent from work due to high fever, so when I went home with anxiety...": After Ram released her cheating husband Yoshikazu and his mistress Misa from the shower after calling the former's parents and the latter's husband, Misa calls her a demon and a devil.
    Misa: You're crazy! A demon! A devil!
