Revenge Romance / Manga Soprano

Go To

Later stories of Manga Soprano have a variant where a female main character has an evil sister or false friend who plots to steal her fiancé, either as revenge for "making her miserable", to prove themselves better than the FMC, or just to make her suffer. However, her plot is rendered moot upon realizing she snatched the wrong man and ends up paying the consequences since the man she snatched turns out to be homeless, a playboy, and/or a gambling addict at best, and a rapist/domestic abuser at worst.

If the female lead already had kids before the antagonist starts plotting, they will see through her facade and trick her into sleeping with the wrong man behind their mother's back in retaliation.
