• Tin's response when Zero tells him who Sophia is and asks for his help is quite amusing
  His hand little-by-little began to turn the cup of tea over. He spilled it to the floor. Then he turned around at a snail's pace and walked into his dressing room closet. The door slammed behind him.
• Count Merry-Go-Round gardening in chapter 14, while wearing a pink, flowery apron. The absurdity of the situation is even commented on by the author here.
• The entire sewer scene from chapter 23, mostly because of Tin and Mellon bickering the whole time while Zero attempts to keep the peace. Some highlights include Tin's laughably pathetic attempt and shoving Mellon, and his little crazy moment when he takes advantage of his canine fascination with spherical objects.
  Zero knew what Tin was about to do, so he tried to stop him from doing so. But Tin’s smile did not disappear and he just answered, “Oooooh no, Zero. This is karma, I tell you. This, THIS is called true, complete power. Ohhhh, yesss. Power. Yummy, yummy, yummy.”
• The collective Oh, Crap! Moment when Zero knocks out Campara Von Pyre with an Off Hand Back Hand by complete accident.
  • And then it happens again twice, first after she was shoved into the luggage compartment of their trolley and with Tin's metal plated palms immediately after she woke up from the last head injury. Campara getting hit on the head seems to be turning into a minor Running Gag, at that point.
• Another one involving Campara comes in chapter 27 when she wakes up in an unfamiliar place to find that Tin and Zero had cuddled up against her in their sleep. Her response is to leap up, screeching that she was going to be "Molested by a bunch of derelicts" until Mellon shuts her up with a threat.
  • And when they try to convince her otherwise she tells them “Don’t you dare try to sweet talk me!! I read stuff like this all the time!! You kidnap beautiful young women and hold them for ransom!! Or worse!!"
• At one point in chapter 31 Chimabell is ranting furiously at Tammy about his suspicions regarding Sophia and Zero, and tells him to take notes. Then he finishes and looks at what he wrote.
  It was just a dumb doodle of what looked to be Chimabell hanging by a noose on a puffy tree along with Tammy smiling. The mayor slowly turned his head to face the Doll with a look of exaggerated sadness "AW! You are just the worst kind of person!"
  • In the same chapter Chima has figured out that Sophia is the little girl who pushed him off Zero earlier, but his brother doesn't believe him because of her excellent disguise. Which leads to these gems
  Chimabell: "Puh-leeze. If she's a freak, then Bella is straight."
  Bella: "Prove to me that that little girl is Sophia and I'll parade around town in drag!"
