Proof that the remaining 10% is worth coming back with a Dying Will for here:

These are recommendations made by tropers for Reborn! (2004) fanfics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. Feel free to add a fanfic of your own to the list, but remember to use the template found here.

You can also add to the current recommendations if you want. Refrain from posting Conversation in the Main Page though; that goes in the discussion page.

Do warn when a fanfic may head into non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is Serious Business.

Bleach-ed Na-tsu

  • Comments: If you want someone who puts a lot of time and effort into their fics, here you go. E'la nostra ora incisa sull'anello is the perfect example. Good characterization, a writing style you can see improve over time, interesting settings. She's the one I recommend if someone wants cute and fluffy.

breadsticks

  • Recommended by: Alternative 27 Angel
  • Comments: Don't be fooled by the Romance genre labeling most of her stuff; it's hardly ever the real focus of the story. (The semi-serious ones, anyways.) Most famous for her humorous works, which carry her bizarre, yet lovable sense of humor, she also writes for the Horror and Fantasy genres. And exceeds all expectations. This troper finds practically anything she writes to be godly; especially Kindergarten Warfare and Wolf Me Down.

  • Comments: Definitely should read this author's fics if you haven't already — very good characterization, minimal typing errors and superb writing style.

  • Comments: Their humor filled fics are superb. And so are their other works.

  • Comments: Someone with an obvious preference for the unusual, she's alarmingly good at both terribly dark and hilariously light genres. There's never a dull moment in her stories, so prepare yourself to be glued to the computer until you're finally finished reading everything that suits your tastes. (And even some that don't.)

  • Comments: This author is very thorough in crafting worldbuilding; her stories are mostly centered on the Varia.

metisket

  • Recommended by: coian, Dame-Amaryllis
  • Comments: This author manages to incorporate a lot of realism into the crazy world of Reborn! without ever losing sight of the characterizations. Her fic What We Fought For in particular is a must-read. It plops the characters into the middle of the brutal (and in a way, mundane) world of Italian organized crime as it is today and just let it rip.

Nightsmoke

  • Recommended by: Shotstar
  • Comments: A simply spectacular author in a fandom that has been admittedly lackluster as of late. Her style mostly relates to genfics, all of which are interesting enough to become addictive after a while. She's very good at focusing in on characters, which provides a lot of truly thought-provoking insight. I recommend her fics wholeheartedly.
    • Very talented, but not an author you want to spend time reading all at once. Many of her fics reuse lines verbatim, which can become rather irritating over time.

Seito

  • Recommended by: Jennifer Wilson, Dame-Amaryllis
  • Comments: One circular story in particular, involving OCs but at the same time is charming in its own right.
  • Notes: Alternate link.

SkyGem

  • Recommended by: kilala2tail
  • Comments: While she has a lot of unfinished multi-chapter that I would suggest holding off on (b/c of want of more), her one-shots and completed ones are all fair game for a fun read. A lot of the stories focus on Tsuna and his "Famiglia".
  • Notes: Alternate link.

Umei no Mai

  • Recommended by: Slyfoxcub, Dame-Amaryllis
  • Comments: This author has only posted three stories for this fandom but they are next-level. Black Sky, a Harry Potter crossover that has(at the time of posting this recommendation) over 240 chapters and over a million words. We've only just reached the Varia arc in KHR! Parenting is Not a Varia Quality, a side-story to Black Sky featuring the Varia OCs. Starring Mainomai, a Varia Mist with 'the attention span of a hyperactive goldfish', as he finds himself an unexpected father. Needless to say, the title of this story is apt. Bolt From The Blue, an SI into canon KHR!, becoming Xanxus' Lightning Guardian when Xanxus is only ten. Follows both of them as they traverse the Mafia World while exploring their burgeoning relationships, both with others around them and each other.
    • This author stands out because the skill with OCs is godly. Mainomai in particular has a large following because of his extreme ADHD and 'precious cinnamon roll' nature. He got his own spin-off. Lektor, a Lightning from Black Sky, was an instant hit after only one chapter. Marvel Squad; Varia Assassins who emulate Marvel Heroes. You will find yourself trying to find their entries on the KHR! Wiki because you will believe they are actually in the show.

WaiiKitsune

  • Recommended by: Melody Hakurei
  • Comments: If you're looking for a good laugh, this author's got it. Almost all of her KHR fics are crack and there is a common trend that Tsuna tends to get ticked off a lot more easily, especially as an adult, but otherwise everyone is perfectly in character. Spelling and grammar is really good as well. I was left laughing my head off after getting through all of them.

wolfsrainrules

  • Recommended by: Dame-Amaryllis
  • Comments: This author writes a lot of oneshots and a few multi-chapter stories, including a few crossovers. Most of the stories are either Skull-, Xanxus-, or Tsuna-centric.
  • Notes: Alternate link.

Wyrvel

  • Recommended by: Jennifer Wilson
  • Comments: This author's theories are complex, and enjoyable to read. Her flame canon and dedication to her art is all there. Star player's got to be her AU of Dead-Eyed Tsuna, showing an Eldritch Abomination and his misadventures. Also, her post Shimon-Arc is pretty nice and easy on the fluff.
  • Notes: Alternate link.

and pins scream as they fall to the floor by elanor_pam
  • Recommended by: Faliara
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Hyper Intuition isn't always a gift. Reborn contemplates what it might mean for someone to be born with it.
  • Comments: An interesting take on how Hyper Intuition works, it's a plausible explanation on how Tsuna doesn't seem to exhibit Hyper Intuition that much during the Daily Life arc.

Barring Bookings, Bail and Bondage by ravenromance27

  • Recommeded by: MidnightStarHunter
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: "There are laws. There are people who follow the law; people that break the law and people who administer the law. There are Mafia. There are mafia men who follow the law; mafia men who break the law and mafia men who administer the law. Then there is the Vongola, who follow the law and break the law. And then there is Decimo's Vongola-who defines their own law."
  • Comments: Regular cops somehow arrest Tsuna without having clue that he's the Vongola Decimo, and therefore were marvellously, woefully under-prepared for the chaos that followed. Yes, it's exactly as glorious as it sounds, and the ending will have you cackling as gleefully as Reborn.

Childish Whims by skygem

  • Recommended by: MidnightStarHunter
  • Status: Dead
  • Synopsis: "Everyone knows that in order to commission the number one hitman in the world for a kill, you must first win over his master, the one he's sworn his eternal loyalty to. However, when said master is an unimpressed 6-year-old who would rather be out playing with his friends, such a feat can be easier said than done. No pairings."
  • Comments: As it's usually the case with skygem's fics, this is a brilliant idea for an AU that was unfortunately left incomplete. Reborn swearing loyalty to Tsuna so quickly after having met him might be a little OOC, but otherwise I really can picture Reborn rolling with Tsuna's assumption for the kicks and chaos. And little Tsuna really is too precious.

''Hiraeth by ReiLarroca

  • Recommended by: MidnightStarHunter
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Synopsis: "When he was four, Tsuna was kidnapped by the Estraneo Family. He lost his mother, his brother, and his freedom. But Skies don't take loss very well. "Never again." Gen Fic, Adult!Arcobalenos, Different!Guardians."
  • Comments: Don't let the sparse summary or the M rating scare you away, this fic is a GEM. The rating is a case of better safe than sorry for nongraphic descriptions of violence and most of the characters having a potty mouth, there's no sexual scenes or graphic gore. I really love "Reborn is Tsuna's Sun" AUs, and I love the way Reborn and Tsuna's relationship is written- how even as they grow closer and Reborn starts trusting Tsuna to show his vulnerabilities and that yes, he can care and be insecure about things like anyone else, the writer never really lets you forget that Reborn is STILL as lethal and morally sideways as they come. He's not one or the other but both, and it strikes me true to Reborn's character in a way very few fics do. There's also a lot of platonic snuggling and heat-sharing going on so they're very cute about it too, which is a bonus :P

In forbidden spirits by TheBlueSheep

  • Recommended by: MidnightStarHunter
  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis: Tsuna doesn’t like alcohol. Didn’t like it when he was five and Iemitsu gave him a try, and didn’t like it when Xanxus forced him to share a toast after the Arcobaleno battles as a sign of reluctant acceptance of him as Vongola Decimo.
  • Comments: Reborn, as always, does a much better job looking out for Tsuna than Iemitsu. Even when he's making mistakes. This fic was unfortunately left on a cliffhanger, but the great build-up in the first chapter makes the read worth it!

my soul can reach, when feeling out of sight by lunarctus

Phoenix Fire by Nivek01

  • Recommended by: Baron Carmine
  • Status: Dead
  • Synopsis: Three and a half years. Since the fights against Shimon. Since the Ninth took up residence in Namimori. Since Tsuna finally got tired of the mafia and disappeared. But now he's back to bring his friends out of their own hells, and maybe save Namimori too.
  • Comments: This is an M-rated fic, though there won't be any lemons. I will readily say that this is even better than the manga itself. It's over 100,000 words, for those of who you like short ones, but this one is definitely worth it.

Redemption (KHR) by Lunahras

  • Recommended by: Nyame
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Changed forever after Fortuna turns her back on him, Sawada Tsunayoshi suddenly finds himself plunging deeper than he ever thought possible into the darkness of the Underworld and dragging his friends along with him, where he strives to redeem not just himself but his entire famiglia - all the while trying to suppress his thirst for revenge. Will he survive? Or will he destroy himself in the process?
  • Comments: A brilliant and well-written tale of how Tsuna changes the Vongola and the mafia. This is a story about both redemption (of course), and learning how to move on with one's life.

Target Practice by elanor_pam

  • Recommended by: Lyra_Dhani

through the ashen greyness (wild sparkles dimly burn) by lunarctus

  • Recommended by: [MidnightStarHunter]
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: The mafia, the Triads, the yakuza – they are like everyone else. Until they meet their Match, the world is as monochrome as it is for any civilian. They cannot see the green of leaves, the blue of the sea, the red of blood. But they can see Flames.
  • Comments: Written from the point of view of a fantastically in-character Reborn's POV, this is a wonderful take on the typical "you don't see colors until you meet your soulmate" and focused in Reborn's character and his relationship with colors and the idea of his Match being out there. Honestly I would pay good money to read the whole of canon in this AU, it's so good.

You Must not Have Known Him by Bleach_ed_Na_tsu

  • Recommended by: Lyra_Dhani
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Hinoe Sho was attending his cousin's funeral, he hadn't known the young man (and young he was, barely twenty when he died) but he seemed a pathetic sort. Easily forgotten apparently, since none of the young man's closest friends had come to see him off. There he meets an equally strange young man who says he knew Tsunayoshi Sawada well, but Sho didn't think so.

    Crack Fics

All According To Script by PurpleButtons0203

  • Recommended by: transparentanswer
  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis: The Sawada family was a strange bunch. On the day of their first and only child's birth, the couple had taken one look at their son's beautiful orange eyes and wild, fluffy brown hair, and had burst into tears. Most had thought it to be the joy of new parenthood, but that assumption was quickly and violently ripped apart when Nana had wailed "Oh kami, he's a main character!"
  • Comments: Katekyo Hitman Reborn featuring Genre Savvy Tsuna and Nana. Hilarious, astounding, and so much badassery.

Boundaries by Zahira Raja

  • Recommended by: Xenone
  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis: The Vongola, as well as all of Italy, had learned a concrete set of rules and boundaries to follow when it involved Sawada Tsunayoshi. Rule One: You don't attack before Vongola Decimo has had his coffee. Or things like this could happen, "You've got exactly five seconds to get the fuck out of my house before I set you ablaze and dance on the ashes." And that was him being nice.
  • Comments: Hehehehe. General silliness abounds. Also a surprising amount of badassery.

dead anime moms by exocara

  • Recommended by: ThisIsRidiculous
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: As we all know, the world of Katekyo Hitman Reborn has canon parallel universes. There are certain parallel universes in which almost everything is the same, except for one small tiny detail. In some cases, things would have been the same, if not for this small tiny detail. ‘For want of a nail’ would be an appropriate term to describe this effect; the effect of a small tiny detail resulting in a ripple effect that massively changes things. In one particular parallel universe, Nana had slightly longer hair which she wore in a loose side ponytail.
  • Comments: A very sweet (and funny) story where Nana has dead anime mom hair and Tsuna has to use his main character status to protect her from the narrative.

Fortuna by 1458

  • Recommended by: Dame-Amaryllis
  • Status: Dormant; last updated November 2018
  • Synopsis: In a world where Iemitsu valued famiglia over family, Tsuna would be left in Namimori with Nana, only seeing his father once in a blue moon. In that world, Xanxus would become the head of the Varia and Reborn would be eventually sent to train Tsuna into becoming Decimo. This is not that world. (Un)fortunately.

Game of Life by exocara

  • Recommended by: transparentanswer
  • Status: Dormant
  • Sypnosis: From the moment he had woken up to see names and levels floating over people's heads, Sawada Tsunayoshi knew that something was really, really wrong. Drabble series, crackish, very, very mild All27 that will show up later.
  • Comments: Hilarious and done so wonderfully.

High School is Just Like the Mafia by peroxidepest17

  • Recommended by: Allie Montgomery
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Tsuna thought that High School would be different. Sadly, the craziness that is his life continues to wreak havoc even in this new school.
  • Notes: Is the sequel to High School is All about Cliques and Fear.
  • Comments: It's well-written and witty, and also contains all the violent wackiness of KHR, except now the Vongola's in High School.

Iemitsu's Brilliant Idea to Defend Tsuna's Chastity by reader713

  • Recommended by: Nyame
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Iemitsu has a problem. Instead of having a girlfriend, Tsuna has a multitude of male fans that Iemitsu needs to fight off to protect Tsuna's chastity. Luckily, Iemitsu gets the brilliant idea to hire assassins to get rid of Tsuna's (male) fans. Let's wish those assassins luck, they're gonna need it!
  • Comments: Downright hilarious, and written in a way that makes it clear that Iemitsu is an idiot that has a legit reason to be worried.

It Takes a Village by Seito

  • Recommended by: transparentanswer, Dame-Amaryllis
  • Status: Complete
  • Sypnosis: This was not part of the plan. Wait, he could fix this. After all, how hard could it be to raise a kid by yourself? (Famous last words, Iemitsu.) Iemitsu tries to be a competent father. He succeeds… with some interesting results. (Or the story of how baby Tsuna has all of Vongola wrapped around his tiny sticky fingers).
  • Comments: In which Iemitsu tries to be a good doting father but takes the doting part up a notch. It's not entirely stated as crack but with the Arcobaleno as the Only Sane Man among the Vongola, it might as well be.
    • Now has bonus features here.

Not Quite Myths by Falia7

  • Recommended by: Kiri Kaitou Clover, Dame-Amaryllis
  • Status: Dormant; last updated April 2018
  • Sypnosis: Wherein Sawada Tsunayoshi is a mythological creature magnet, and it doesn't seem to matter much where those creatures come from. (It starts with the unicorn, and things just get worse from there. The Mafia won't know what hit it. Literally.)
  • Comments: Literally one of the funniest fics to have appeared recently, and deserves to have its place on the recs. Despite the addition of mythological creatures, it still follows canon... To a point. Let's just say the unicorn won't be the last and each appearance starts to mess with what is considered canon, and making the reactions of everyone pretty hilarious to read. It also delves a lot into Flame lore of KHR, so be prepared for that.

A Not-Quite Sixth Sense by AthanatosOra

  • Recommended by: ThisIsRidiculous
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: The doctors called it heightened anxiety. His mother called it a gift. His peers called it weird. Tsuna himself didn't know what to call his freakishly accurate, absolutely ridiculous paranoia, since he was already too busy trying to handle the fact that it was there at all. As if that wasn't enough, Chaos ensues following a not-baby called Reborn and his greeting of "Ciaossu." One-shot for now.
  • Comments: In which "Hyper Intuition is a glorified Bat Signal but worse" with hilarious results.

Odd-Job Tsuna by ShamelessDilettante

  • Recommended by: Dame-Amaryllis
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: When he is seven, Tsuna decides to get a job because he doesn't want to be indebted to his father. Somehow, this leads to even more jobs and friends popping up in unexpected places. Tsuna can only blame his inability to refuse requests, but he'll never understand why he attracts trouble like a magnet.

That Godawful Trip to Italy by Sanauria Maldhun

  • Recommended by: Nyame
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: It started with a school trip to Italy. Everything simply went downhill from there.
  • Comments: A more nuanced variation of the common "class trip to Italy" cliche, one that is more in-line with the tone of the series. Tsuna still manages to be a Butt-Monkey even as more and more of his secrets are revealed, much to his despair. And the ending just makes you want to pity him even more.

Vigilante Tendency by Kyogre

  • Recommended by: Faliara, lampyridae, Aki-no-Hikari, Dame-Amaryllis
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: There's such a thing as being too much like the 1st generation. Tsuna didn't mean to start a vigilante group, but somehow it happened anyway. Well done, "Neo Primo", well done.
  • Comments: I laughed the whole way reading this. Hilarious, certainly kept to the wackiness that is KHR. And you have to love how Tsuna eventually goes from freaking out at everything to 'I don't even care anymore'.

What Happened To Namimori? by StMomo

  • Recommended by: Fluffness

  • Sypnosis: "Mary Sue" has invaded Namimori, releasing Sue-beams into the air that has turned all our favorite bishies into complete drones! Only the girls are unaffected by the Sue! Will you be able to help them save the boys and take down the Sue?
  • Comments: Although you might be wary of the second person point of view, take into consideration that this is a great parody. With Shout Outs to various tropes and this website itself, be prepared for a hilarious story with plenty of Lampshade Hanging.

The Rebirth of Tsunayoshi Sawada by ShamelessDilettante

  • Recommended by: Dame-Amaryllis
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: When Tsuna dies at a ripe old age, he finds himself waking again, back in middle school, a month before Reborn even arrives. Tsuna, in all the wry humour he has accumulated in his old life, decides that, what the hell, it's his turn to fool around with Vongola this time.

The Second Coming by Eevetta

  • Recommended by: transparentanswer
  • Status: Dormant
  • Sypnosis: When Sawada Tsunayoshi was told that he would soon inherit the bloodiest famiglia in the Underground, Reborn was surprised and intrigued when instead of denial, there was only acceptance. But Tsuna and his Guardians are hiding a deep secret that they wish to keep hidden from everyone, even from Reborn. The burdens they carry will only be shared by them and them alone. Boss!Tsuna
  • Comments: A little bit of a Continuation fic, likely, there had been a Schedule Slip until recently which had made this fic Dormant. Despite worrying of The End of the World as We Know It situation to come, it still managed to keep the early hilarity Katekyo Hitman Reborn! was known for. It may just have eight chapters but it's still worth a read.

Bandaged Hand by FlightOrFightAO3 Link here

  • Recommended by: HattedHalfling
  • Status: Dead; last updated June 2019
  • Synopsis: Tsuna is thrown into a time he's unfamiliar with, in a country he can barely speak the language. But it's his choice, so with only determination and his intuition to keep him moving forward, he'll complete his mission while trying to not lose all. Of course, that doesn't mean trouble won't find him; things are never easy when fate loves to screw with one.
  • Pairings: Arcobaleno/Sawada Tsunayoshi, Reborn/Sawada Tsunayoshi, Fon/Sawada Tsunayoshi, Verde/Sawada Tsunayoshi
  • Comments: This is a really interesting one, especially in how they’ve balanced Tsuna in regards to power so far. It’s post-Representative Battle, so he’s quite strong, but he also doesn’t have his usual Vongola gear with him, so he’s handicapped by the fact that he’s having to learn how to use his flames without it, leaving an overall competent but not all-powerful Tsuna who often grumbles at his intuition’s lack of instructions beyond ‘do this’. There’s also a strong mystery element in that, while the reader and Tsuna himself both have an idea of what he needs to do, none of the specifics are nailed down. Even more interestingly, he’s slowly meeting the Arcobaleno before they’ve even met each other for the most part, let alone been cursed, and the characterization for them so far has been enticing. A note of minor warning, the author’s first language does not seem to be English, so sometimes the word choices or sentence structures can be a bit confusing. If you’re willing to overlook that, however, you’ll be rewarded with a really solid story!

Adoption series by Memory25

  • Recommended by: transparentanswer
  • Status: Dead (last updated December 2016)
  • Sypnosis: A story centered on the history of a certain cloud and how he becomes the cloud we know today.
  • Comments: A fic that centered around Hibari's past, quite a few OC's, but they aren't too unbelievable and the relationships are well developed.

Ayakashi by Kyogre

  • Recommended by: Xenone, MidnightStarHunter
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Complete, slight AU, gen. Flames and the Trinisette are far from the only secret power in the world. In which Tsuna is half-youkai, and his Guardians aren't quite all human either. The mafia won't know what hit them.
  • Comments: Dear lord, this is amazing. The supernatural elements are worked in brilliantly. Also, Nana makes a great kitsune.

The Boogie Man by Jikage

  • Recommended by: Fluffness
  • Status: Dead (Complete sans Epilogue)
  • Pairings: Hibari Kyouya/Sawada Tsunayoshi
  • Sypnosis: It began on the night when Hibari popped out of his wardrobe. Then from under his bed, his kitchen cabinets, the janitor closet, and trashcans. And as he grew older, slowly but surely, little Tsuna's fear became something akin to love.
  • Comments: A long and lengthy fic that starts out with hints of W.A.F.F. between the titular character, "Boogie Man" Hibari, and an adorable little Tsuna. Gets Darkerand Edgier as it progresses, and even the most minor details become Chekhov's Gun. Filled with delightful twists and a well-written plot, this story is simply amazing. Plot Holes are filled, the Alternate Universe the author has created is reminiscent of canon, and the Character Development that every character gets is remarkable. You will be transfixed by this wonderful story.

Dead-Eyed Tsuna by wyrvel

  • Recommended by: cyber-inkblot
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Sawada Tsunayoshi is cold, aloof, constantly exhausted, perpetually doubtful, and has the resting face of an axe murderer. He's resigned to being a complete failure for the rest of his life, and is pretty satisfied with himself, as long as he has people like his best friend Sasagawa Kyoko to help him along the way. But his dull, emotionless status quo is shattered when Kyoko decides he should join the Disciplinary Committee and do something with himself. The Disciplinary Committee, as in the thinly veiled school gang run by the Scariest Teenage Boy Alive. And yet, against all odds, it's not the Committee itself that led him into mass international criminal politics, magic powers, and casual murder.
  • Comments: KHR!Fic at its finest. Both hilarious and oh so dark. You will not regret the hours you put into reading this.

Does Your Amber Heart Bleed Purple Gold by Adel Mortescryche

  • Synopsis: The last thing anyone expected was for the older twin to manifest Cloud Flames. (Or the one in which Tsuna is Xanxus' Cloud Guardian, flat-out terrifies anyone who's heard about him, has a younger brother who loves him, is possibly in a queerplatonic long-distance relationship with Hibari but will never admit it, and is the big brother you never knew you wanted in your life.)

Flames and Family by madashes2ashes

  • Recommended by: Very Melon, Rage Against The Author
  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis:
  • Comments: Seconded. So very much. There are no words to say how captivating this story gets once you get into it. The pace slows considerably in the latter two parts, but the plot itself is more than enough to keep a person at the edge of the seat from start to finish and as of part two, it sometimes gets so overwhelming that it's difficult to believe how little things suddenly become incredibly important. About the worst flaw I can think of in this story is the sheer amount of OCs, but they're neither flat or unlikable. Hell, all the characters are given the depth and it's particularly interesting to see some of the subtle parallels between ashes' world and Amano's Future Arc, although characters like Byakuran make no appearance other than just being occasionally mentioned. The best thing about the story have got to be the characters, however. They evolve and they change and yet they do not change enough to be unrecognizable. And as a bonus, they're all flawed. So very much that it's sometimes difficult to just swallow it all without feeling the need to cry. Ashes goes to great lengths to show the dark and more realistic side of the Mafia and life in general and her time's not been wasted. Darker and Edgier taken up to eleven indeed.

  • Synopsis: A few hundred years after his death, Giotto finds himself reincarnated as Sawada Tsunayoshi and discovers second chances as he is reunited with his past Guardians.
  • Comments: Given the canon Time Travel plus character design reuse, why are there not MORE fics like this? I particularly like the fact that Giotto is NOT an uberSue who gets EVERYTHING perfect and right with Super!Intuition and still has to get used to present day and building up his child's body/stamina. Of the Primo Gen, Alaudi and Ugetsu are known to be reincarnated as Hibari and Yamamoto for sure, hints of Knuckles = Ryohei but no actual appearance, and neither Lambo nor Gokudera have shown up ... yet.

Hamaguri's Legacy by Aki no Hikari

  • Recommended by: transparentanswer
  • Status: Dead
  • Sypnosis: An AU where Iemitsu is not the one with Giotto's bloodline, Nana is. The Vongola, desperate for a tenth heir finally found a lead and Iemitsu for sure wouldn't take it well when he finds that his wife is Giotto's descendant.
  • Comments: There are OC's around but rest assured, they are well characterized. I was quite fond of the author's characterization of Badass!Nana.
    • The fic is incomplete and up for adoption.

Heaven's Garden by RenegadeWarrior

  • Recommended by: Xenone

  • Synopsis: Tsuna has a green thumb. A magical green thumb. When Reborn orders him to find candidates to join his family and no suitable ones appear, Tsuna's favorite plants become human to fill the position for the one who has given them the love and care they needed when they needed it the most. But why do they look like people who have already died?
  • Comments: This is heartrending in all the right ways. Also, Tsuna is friends with Fon.

Inheritors of Flame by Kyogre

  • Synopsis: "AU. The virtual reality world of the game "Inheritors of Flame" is a place where you can become anyone. Even Dame-Tsuna can become a strong, confident guild master and gain many close friends. But the game isn't just a game. It could very well hold the key to the secrets of the world, and the fabled Trinisette."
  • Comments: I love how the way the videogame works is explained and integrated with KHR canon and lore. Tsuna and Reborn's friendship is my favourite relationship in KHR too, so the fact that it's quite prominent in this fic makes me like it even more.

Imaginary Friend by Metamorcy

  • Recommended by: Xenone

  • Synopsis: Tsuna pouted as his family made fun of his imaginary friend, it wasn't his fault they couldn't see him. It wasn't his fault that they couldn't see the tall man with a fedora that was behind them watching everything with those sharp dangerous looking eyes of his. Fluff mainly. No pairing! Parental!Reborn, child!Tsuna
  • Comments: Fluffiness, ahoy!

Isn't It Beautiful? by esquitor

  • Recommended by: Jennifer Wilson
  • Status: Dead; last updated November 2016
  • Sypnosis: Isn't it Beautiful? is a mostly gen-fic series wherein Sawada Tsunayoshi finds himself pulled into the Underworld as a part of someone else’s Inheritance Plots and Plans, and decides he’s… well. Sorta okay with it. He’s okay with a lot of things. Aaaaabsolutely dandy about it.Doesn’t mean he’s going to make it easy for them, though.
  • Comments: Multi-part fic, slow to update, but incredibly complex and enjoyable to read.

Impossible Year by Rebornfricker69

  • Recommended by: ThisIsRidiculous

  • Synopsis: His senses sharpened as in a swift moment the bullet flew across the air between them, burying itself into the ground. It was in that moment Tsunayoshi sensed they were no longer playing around. But he had a family to uphold. Drawing out his spade it was pointed in the direction of his assailant's face. 'I won't lose my life to you.'

The Mafia Wants You! by SwordsMagician

  • Recommended by: Alternative 27 Angel, Fluffness, Rage Against The Author
  • Status: Dead
  • Synopsis: Sawada Tsunayoshi was unassuming. Resourceful. Surprisingly adaptive. A little inept when it came to dealing with romantic affections or unwanted attention. And his hyper-intuition hasn't been wrong yet. Regardless, he didn't need that indication of doom to know that Reborn was the harbinger of utter chaos.
  • Comments: What do you get when you make Tsuna aware of the Mafia from a young age and exposed to things like Doctor Who? A near genius-level hacker and Deadpan Snarker that's apparently a "Mafia-magnet." And still finds time to fail Algebra. Written with the kind of clever, yet random humor that has you grinning silly for hours while you applaud the writer's wittiness, and overloaded with shout outs and quotes that we all know you've heard before. It also holds a plethora of OCs that are just so lovable and unique, you might find yourself cheering for them more often than the actual canon!characters.
    • Seconded. It's a wonderfully complex story, with all the hijinks of KHR and a smarter Tsuna

More Than No Good by KuraiArcoiris

  • Recommended by: phantomdare1
  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis: Reborn had never disagreed with any of the ninth's decisions, but when the Vongola boss sent him to Japan to train Sawada Tamaki, the hitman started to think that the ninth had chosen the wrong twin…
  • Comments: There have always been a great many fics that talk about Tsuna having a sibling (most notably a girl), but this one really takes the cake. Tsuna and his twin brother are portrayed as complete foils to one another, and at a first glance, Tamaki is the better candidate, but after a while, Tsuna really shows as the more suitable candidate for the Tenth Vongola. This fic also focuses on how Tsuna gradually becomes friends with Gokudera, Yamamoto, Hana, and many more. Also, a lot of angst, frustration, and tear jerkers on Reborn's part when he realizes that Tsuna's better than Tamaki. The writing is beautiful, and the fight scenes are also well-written.
    • The Road: Read it. Couldn't really get into it. The plot is a thing that exists, but actual character development just doesn't seem to happen. I think I made it about 70~80k words in— that's the length of your average novel. Even though the plot itself advanced, Tsuna never really changed. And neither did Tamaki. While the author is technically skilled, the glacial pace of character dev was just too frustrating for me.
    • doublegemini: I kind of have to agree with The Road. I read up to the latest chapter and I have to say that the characterization of Tsuna's little brother seems a little forced. His character development also get's shoehorned in a single chapter and Tsuna is starting to turn into a Gary Stu. It's still a pretty good fanfic overall, this troper just kind of wishes that Tamaki was a more believable character.

Phantom Thief Decimo by Kyogre

  • Recommended by: Faliara, MidnightStarHunter
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Phantom Thief Tsuna is hired to steal the Vongola Rings. No one expects the Sky Ring to mark him as a candidate for Decimo. Now Tsuna is on the run from the Varia, who object to his appointment, half the criminal underworld, who want to see Vongola fall, and also his own allies, who support his new position entirely too much.
  • Comments: I'm just going to say this now, if you enjoy this or Vigilante Tendency, I suggest looking for any other stories that might be written by Kyogre. She managed to keep Tsuna in-character despite the personality his alter-ego had been painted with, and you simply have to love the writing style. There also might be a sequel to this incoming, so look out for that too.

Potential by Fayah

  • Recommended by: marafee
  • Status: Dead
  • Synopsis: Everyone has potential. For some, this potential will remain unrealized. For others, this potential may surface. And for Sawada Tsunayoshi, this potential was brought forth much earlier before his teenage years with the baby mafioso Reborn.
  • Comments: A really different take on a change in events of Tsuna's childhood and the butterfly effect that follows.

The Rightful Sky by Heir to the Sky

  • Recommended by: lampyridae, Dame-Amaryllis, MidnightStarHunter
  • Status: Dead
  • Synopsis: Sawada Tsunayoshi is ordinary. Average. Not at all special in any way. So while having ties to the mafia comes as a surprise to Tsuna, the fact that his younger, more talented, more popular twin brother is chosen as the next Vongola boss doesn't. Not everyone agrees though. After all, what is a world without a proper sky?
  • Comments: Features a very timid Tsuna and incorporates side characters e.g. Hana, Mochida(Kendo club captain). Unfortunately this fic hasn't updated since August '012.

Sora by Araceil

  • Recommended by: demonicmonkey88
  • Status: Dead
  • Synopsis: fem!Tsuna. One accident three years ago changes everything for Sawada Tsunayuki when she joins the Disciplinary Committee. Now, instead of being groomed as the wife of Vongola Decimo, she is being given a chance to become the Decimo herself.
  • Comments: The fic's pretty good, and that's a lot considering the type of fic it is. Although, I hope the author doesn't let his/her hatred of Iemitsu get to her/him. All in all the fic's worth a read, it provides entertainment~
    • Having read what's there, I can't say it's particularly worth a read. The premise is interesting, but Tsunayuki comes off as... well, less of a Tsuna and more of a Possession Sue. Her methods for punishment are utterly disgusting, Iemitsu-bashing is rampant, and the story pretty much falls short for an interesting premise.

The Sun Always Rises by Lacewood

  • Recommended by: Unlucky Normalcy CLO, Yabumi, MidnightStarHunter
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: In a different world, Tsuna had a different Sun guardian - Kyoko.
  • Comments: An amazing oneshot based around the idea that instead of Ryohei becoming Tsuna's guardian, Kyoko does in his place. Despite the fact that they're alike in personality, how Kyoko sees and handles things is a lot different than Ryohei, and the characterization throughout the story is spot-on. It's not just interesting, it's believable, and makes you really wonder What Could Have Been. Covers the time from the beginning of the manga up through the Varia arc and into the future arc, and leaves you wanting more.

  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: When Reborn gets moody, Tsuna has to get creative.
  • Pairing: Reborn/Tsuna
  • Comments: Despite the pairing tag, this honestly doesn't have to be romantic if you're not into that- it's just a really heartwarming story about Tsuna trying his darnedest to help Reborn and cheer him up. Of course Tsuna is so earnest that even Reborn in speed-run puberty hell has to concede defeat (in his mind bc rue the day he admits that he needs help OR has any kind of soft spot for Tsuna) and let go of his foul mood.

Fifty Snapshots - Sun and Sky by cywscross

  • Synopsis: Tsuna and Reborn in fifty snapshots. R27
  • Comments: I love the relationship between Reborn and Tsuna regardless of romance. Watching them grow closer from snapshot to snapshot is wonderful, and their banter is a delight. The author states in the notes to "not expect word for word conversations from the manga" and I'm so, so glad for that- this fic rewords Tsuna's argument about fighting for Reborn to live beautifully, I actually wish this conversation was canon.

The Awesomely Epic Chronicles of Squalo and Xanxus by Dreaming Spire

  • Recommeded by: natroze
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: A beautiful, heartwarming tale of how Squalo and Xanxus surmount their relationship of tyrannical boss and whipping boy, and become best friends forever via human trafficking, falling couches, and dead goldfish.
  • Pairing: Xanxus/Squalo
  • Comments: I cried laughing. This story follows Squalo through his entire childhood and early teenage years up until the point he meets Xanxus and tries to decide whether to kill him or kiss him, etc. etc. It's morbidly hilarious and incredibly well-written, and while it deviates from Xanxus and Squalo's canon backstory somewhat, is still a wonderful interpretation of their relationship. If by 'wonderful' I mean an unmitigated disaster. It's awesome.

  • Synopsis: Primo Gen Fic! The story of the founding of the Vongola Family and Primo's eventual exile to Japan, as told by G. Slightly unreliable narrator.
  • Pairings: Giotto/G, Giotto/OC, D/Elena
  • Comments: Need more good Primo Fic like this - I don't agree always with the author's portrayal on Mist and Cloud Guardians, but she definitely sets a distinct tone to all the Primo and sets them apart from the Decimo Gen. Do Not Miss the Kewl Reference Notes at the end.
    • blueblood: Seconded! One of my favorite KHR fics. G is hilarious and, while he is a somewhat unreliable narrator, the characterization of the Primo Generation through his eyes rings true. It's also nice to see the Primo Gen written with personalities that differ from those of the present-day Vongola. Metisket also has a few other Reborn fics that are quite good.

The Persistence of Memory by KaLeRei

  • Recommended by: Kaoru Sailor Z
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: A few months after coming back from the future, an unfortunate accident causes Haru to lose her memories, and sends Hayato on a collision course with his past and the memories he's buried and tried -but failed- to forget.
  • Pairings: Main Gokudera/Haru , minor Tsuna/Kyoko, mentioned Ryohei/Hana, implied Ken/Chrome
  • Comments: Nothing short of amazing story. There is character development in both central characters and the two characters (Gokudera and Haru) unlike some fics truly fall in love with each other. It's believable and sweet. The plot itself is very well thought out.

  • Sypnosis: Three years after parting with Neuro, Katsuragi Yako meets another strange man with a sharp suit and expensive shoes, and her world is upended. This time, however, that’s a little more literal.
  • Comments: The author uses interesting analogies, likening the world colliding caused by Neuro's appearance at the end of Chapter 202 as the result of one cake's ingredients overlapping with another. And there is Bianchi's poison food vs Yako's iron stomach. And Sai! Also, Yako finding out that her long-dead uncle 'Iemitsu' is alive.

  • Synopsis: When you're a Black, you're a Black and nobody gets to hold all the cards except you. Not a Dark Lord with a grudge, not a Headmaster with a prophecy and certainly not the world's most influential Mafia Family... Dorea is as much a Black as a Potter and she is not about to let anybody walk over her! A Fem!Harry story. Slow Build.
  • Notes: Has two complete side stories, Parenting is not a Varia Quality and Yesterday's Tomorrow.
  • Comments: The Author manages to blend the two worlds together very well, though it is currently focusing more on the 'Katekyo Hitman Reborn!' side right now seeing as Xanxus has been released from the ice and is getting back up to speed. However the author still gives us looks at what is going on from the point of view of the other characters, although it is told in third-person. Umei no Mai has done a wonderful job with her world building and fusing story elements such as the concept of Flames and what they are and how they operate with/against magic. Also, the Zabini; it takes great skill in setting out the laws, culture and biology of a different species without drowning you in text. It's mostly done threw family anecdotes, which makes it fun. The characters are well developed and their actions make sense without them coming across as one-dimensional. You also don't need to know much about either story to read it, so I recommend it to everyone to at least try, even if long stories aren't your thing.
    • Story has reached over one million words and 248 chapters. It's only just gotten to the beginning of the Varia Arc in KHR! Author plans to get to the end of the KHR! series. Readers eagerly wait in anticipation at what the changes to canon will bring.

Bolt From The Blue by Umei no Mai

  • Recommended by: Dame-Amaryllis
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Xanxus picks up his first Guardian very early. Things change accordingly. SI-OC.
  • Comments: Pure Fix-it fic, but done so well. Along with the more obvious changes, smaller ones are made that result in massive things. The author has even mastered the art of story-within-a-story, where assorted Alliance children and adopted orphans perform a very ad-lib version of A Midsummer Nights Dream; the readers will laugh along with the in-story audience.
    • Most notable is this story's addressing, discussion, and inclusion of gender roles, different relationships and sexuality. There are no lemons or limes, even if the air gets a little citrus-scented at times, so no need to fret. The discussions and reasoning are mature and well-thought-out, taking the view that if everything is consensual and non-harmful and doesn't intrude on the lives of other people, then there's no problem.
    • It's played straight and goal-orientated for the first few chapters(don't let the single-digit-number of chapters fool you, because they are long), but soon slows down into a romantic/family comedic drama. The background characters are fleshed out superbly, just as in Black Sky, with some OCs from Black Sky making reappearances(Pantera Superbi, Pyr, Mainomai...).

Colore della Nebbia by HalcyonNight

  • Synopsis: Dying is a lot like going to sleep, except you don't ever wake up again. When I died, I expected to just move on. I didn't expect to be tasked with a mission, be chucked into the body of Chrome, even though I'm quite clearly a guy, and have a rather passive-aggressive relationship with a demon baby. Puberty is gonna suck. *AU* *Reincarnation Fic*
  • Comments: Follows the trend of reincarnation fics in the fandom, but with a twist: a guy, David, is reincarnated as Chrome, and stays female, unlike the common rout of 'a girl is reborn as one of the guys but magically turned into a girl'. He died in a conventional manner, didn't screw up his last life, and was picked only because canon!Chrome dies somehow and needs a replacement, and he's the only person currently available. HalcyonNight has left any and all pairings up to the readers.

His line of thinking is more critical and logic-bound than the canon cast, and watching him interact with them is interesting. Kyoko by Discoabc

  • Status: Dormant
  • Sypnosis: "So, you are an infamous Mafioso dealer, part of both the Yakuza and Mafia, a genius hacker, one of the strongest illusionists in the world, wanted in several countries and STILL the number one idol in school?" "You forgot how I was extremely extreme too." "…Kyoko, you have some major issues." Being reborn as Miss Sparkles is not fun at all." SI is reborn as Sasagawa Kyoko.
  • Comments: While it was hilarious in the earlier chapters, it gets dark because of one mistake this Kyoko made that changes canon events (Naito Longchamp dying five years before canon, Tsuna is a casanova thanks to hyper intuition activated, Momokyokai being a feared Yakuza thanks to said mistake, etc.). The titles for the chapters are misleading, and the characterization is well written. It was quiet nice to see some of the girls that didn't get much spotlight like Hana and Kyoko herself to be an Adaptational Badass.

My Heavenly Judgement by Colbub

  • Sypnosis: Alice was normal. Unremarkable, smart-ish and... normal. So when she died, she was shocked. But it was even MORE shocking when part of her Judgment for her to go to Heaven consisted of... protecting Tsuna?
  • Comments: At the first fifteen chapters or so, the structure and quotations may seem to be lacking, but it gets better in future chapters. This was a different take of a normal SI-ish story where instead of staying there, the OC's had limited time to stay in the Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Universe. An SI based off divine trials are rather rare, so this was recommended. The characters are also in-character as well. Now Has It's Own Page!

  • Synopsis: Namimori was a queer town filled with strange people, often brimming with explosions and gunshots and mysterious flares of flames and light. Luckily, Masami considered herself well-suited for such a world. She was a Hibari, after all.

Polaris by XxZuiliu

  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: It's curious, how even the tiniest ripples in the ocean of the cosmic universe can stir the waves of reality. SI!OC, drabble-ish format. Pre-Canon.
  • Notes: Has an ongoing sequel of sorts, Canopus.

Russian Roulette - Part 1: Reloaded and Part 2: Second Barrel by Vixen Tail

  • Recommended by: Aki-no-Hikari, Dame-Amaryllis
  • Status:
    • Part 1: Complete
    • Part 2: Ongoing
  • Synopsis: No one ever said an SI gets a place in canon events, or that they would be ideally placed at all. How much would you recall if you had decades to go before anything in a long-forgotten story comes to be? AU, Thief!SI/OC, Pre!Fated Day Arcobaleno, very Pre!Canon
  • Comments: From the creator of Déjà vu no Jutsu we get a new OC/SI reincarnation fic. Sonya is a socially awkward Russian thief trying to make sense of living in the world of the magical rainbow mafia. The world is complex and makes sense. The characters, who are mostly OCs, are well developed and likeable. Definitely a recommended read.

Sass and Win by Alligator Eyes

  • Recommended by: Ravaelt
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: My name is Sawada Inari and I shouldn’t be here. I remember this story and ‘I’ was never part of it. But here I am. Might as well have some fun with all this nifty precognitive knowledge...yeah, that would have been nice.
  • Comments: One of the best OC/SI reincarnation fics I have read. Inari is a sarcastic, snarky little brat who enjoys messing with everyone, but has his own flaws and trauma that makes him an incredibly compelling character who fits in. There might also be eldritch abominations.

Sehnsucht by OpalescentGold

  • Recommended by: Dame-Amaryllis
  • Status: Completed
  • Synopsis: In an unidentifiable location of Japan, a woman named Cynthia, the founder of the Cervello and the former Vongola Adviser, dies. Some few hundred years later, in a location of Japan now known as Namimori, a baby named Noriko is born.
  • Comments: Normally something like this would be the premise for a classic Self-Insert Fic — but it isn't. Noriko is well-rounded enough character that one could conceivably imagine her in the actual series itself. She also does not solve all of the main characters' problems — while she does influence things to lean towards a better outcome, her role outright prevents her from interfering in the major conflicts.

Seiryū by findingkairos

  • Recommended by: Dame-Amaryllis
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Reincarnation is not always a blessing. A butterfly beats its wings, and a hurricane forms halfway around the world. (Or, What would happen if Sawada Tsunayoshi had an older sibling figure to look up to and be tutored by years before a certain Sun Arcobaleno showed up in Namimori?)
  • Notes: the author recently changed their username from DoragonkasaiTsubasa to what it is now (findingkairos). Though the fic was dormant for almost three years, the author has started updating again.
  • Comments: It's pretty slow to start at first, and then starts accelerating. The author has also started to explore topics like depression and the mechanics of Dying Will Flames, so if that's your cup of tea then this is the fic for you.

Star of The Circus by Run From The Medic

  • Recommended by: Lilybot
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Synopsis: Leora's had a lot of truly strange and bizarre experiences during her time with the circus. She never thought falling through a hole in the Big Top and winding up in an anime would be one of them.
  • Comments: In which a circus acrobat named Leora, dies and wakes up in a child’s body in the KHR-universe, meets Tsuna at the age of eight, and proceeds to derail the entirety of the plot. Very funny and adorable, definitely worth a read! There are obvious major changes from the original plot but everyone remains so in-character it’s hilarious!
    • This story is basically about how an OC comes into Tsuna’s life and changes him for the better but with a very unique take; which is Leora not wanting to have anything to do with the mafia. If you enjoy stories about strong friendships, found family dynamics, and stories where Tsuna doesn’t become a mafia boss, then this story is for you. (Though the flame system is still prominent in this story)

This Road To Hell by XxZuiliu

  • Recommended by: transparentanswer, Dame-Amaryllis
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: In which Vongola is, indeed, the villain of the tale. [OC, Tsuna's older sister, AU]
  • Comments: The story as a whole is quite tragic but the writing is powerful. You can feel their emotions as the story moves.

Sunset Hue by Syrlai

  • Recommended by: Lilybot
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Synopsis: When Tsuna was twelve, he ran into a pole in the middle of the night, knocking himself out. There, he met a girl named Mia that just moved in. He was a loser and she was weird. But somehow, they brought out the best and worst in each other. Friends, lovers or partners - Mafia or not, nothing was going to change that.
  • Pairing: Tsuna/OC...wait, don’t go yet
  • Comments: this fic has a lot of ups and downs, but if you’re looking for a good slow burn romance, this is the story you are looking for. In my opinion, Tsuna gets more autonomy in this story and we get to see more sides to his character that doesn’t make him seem OOC at all. The last few chapters has been especially fun to read! The OC isn’t a Mary Sue, and the interactions between Tsuna and her is the highlight of this story.

Building a Legacy by kirui

  • Recommended by: natroze
  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis:
    • Building A Legacy In Three Acts (and then some): First is holy matrimony. Next comes fatherhood. Sawada Tsunayoshi, Tenth Generation Leader of the Vongola Family, experiences both—though he is admittedly unprepared for the latter (and with the infamous Reborn as the self-claimed Godfather, who could blame him?) From choosing a suitable name, to keeping track of all the baby's firsts, being a Papa is hard, hard work. But thankfully, his Family is ever-so ready to help.
    • The Totally Fictitious But Rapturous Love Story of Rokudo Mukuro and Hibari Kyouya: To be honest, a conventional love story this is not. To be perfectly honest, "love story" might even be a bit of a misnomer. In all seriousness though, "vaguely obsessive and somewhat stalker-friendly story" just simply doesn’t sound as good as "love story". (Wherein they meet, they fight, and years and shenanigans later, they learn to tolerate each other. But not without a parking lot of bloodshed and collateral damage.)
    • Five Things Sawada Ienobu Inherited And Wished He Hadn't: There are heirlooms. And then there are Heirlooms.
    • Sixty Years: Sixty years into the future, Gokudera finally checks into the Vongola Senior home.
  • Comments: Both these fics are absolutely fall-off-your-chair hilarious and I couldn't recommend them more. They're brilliantly well-written and, though on the slightly longer side, are impossible to stop reading. Slightly on the crack-fic side but the entirety of Reborn is cracky enough that it's plausible and in-character. I believe I am a happier person for having read these fics, honestly. They're that funny.

Omertà Arc One: Special Visitors by Free the Clam

  • Recommended by: Lilybot
  • Status: Dead; First Arc completed
  • Synopsis: When your cheating asshole of a (newly ex-) boyfriend backhanded you across the face, you responded in a manner you thought reasonable and appropriate to the situation. You punched him in the throat.
  • Pairings: Reader/Undecided
  • Comments: Holy cow. This story is less about romance and is much more complex than meets the eye. This story follows the Female MC (or, the reader) who works as a kind-of-secretary to an American Mafia family, The Frattelis. There is an intriguing cast of OC’s who have a clear world-view and different approach to the Mafia on what is considered to be 'justice' or not. This story has definitely changed my view on Reader fics for the better. Takes place 15YL after the main storyline.

Keeping Your Character by Insanity-Red

  • Recommended by: Sarcastic Fox
  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis: When a girl from our world takes advantage of a quirk in the reincarnation system, guess whose body she ends up in? See what changes when the stupid cow isn't so stupid - nor a cow. What else will change when she retains knowledge from her previous life?
  • Comments: It is a classic self insert, only that instead of being reborn as a secondary character or a totally new character, the person is reincarnated as Lambo. Only with small differences, like that he was born 10 years before and is almost the same age as Tsuna or that he is a woman.

Alternative Title(s): Katekyo Hitman Reborn
