'I don't want to be a superhero' is a self insert fanfic by Jaguarian76 about a DC fan in the DC Super Hero Girls 2019 world. The fanfic also contains events from the DC Animated Universe.

- Accidental Pervert: Zack stopped the trashcan where Jessica was stuck but because of that he accidentally saw her panties. Both were extremely embarrassed and decided it never happened.
- Anti-Climactic Unmasking: Lex saw Zack’s face, but is unaware of who he is, as Zack is just a random schoolboy.
- Armor-Piercing Question: Kara can’t find an answer when Zack asks her why she was wearing her suit if she didn’t intend to be a hero.
- Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: in the Christmas special, 1959-Zack babysat Jonathan and it ended with trees on fire, a damaged building, a missing statue from the daily planet in his backyard and a stray cat
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Kara wanted Supergirl to be in the school newspaper. She got her wish, but it was a critic about how badly the fight at sweet justice was handled.
- Blessed with Suck: Zack nearly bled to death because his powers made the status 'bleeding' far worse than what it would be in real life.
- Cheap Costume: Zack’s first suit was just a Batman hoodie he got in a store. Justified, as Zack had no time to make a suit when Metallo attacked the mall.
- "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: Zack prevented the events of "#VanityInsanity", by telling Zee to cover her long hair
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Lobo beats Zack an inch away from his life without breaking a sweat.
- Embarrassing First Name: Zack’s father named him after Zack Fair. Zack legally changed his name back in his previous life, but his other self didn’t while he won’t do it out of respect for his parents.
- Everyone Has Standards:
- Kara and Zee were angry toward Zack because of what happened at sweet justice, but they still came to his rescue when they saw he was in danger.
- Even Hippolyta was horrified by the fact that Lena, an eight-year-old girl, caused so much destruction at the pier and intended to rule the world.
- Zack despises that Hal broke up with Caro by text, but he admits that she is too unstable and would have harmed Hal if he broke up in person.
- Jerkass Has a Point: Deconstructed. Zack may have been right to be angry at Kara and Zee but the way he criticized them drove Kara and Zee away. If Zack had not been rude toward Zee, she would have probably stayed in the team.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Jessica’s reaction when she saw Zack's injured body as she thinks it would have not happened if she had stayed to help him when Star Sapphire was looking for Hal
- Poor Communication Kills: Kara mistook Zack’s intention to go to heaven as being suicidal.
- Pyrrhic Victory: How earth-1970 Zack see his life. He reached the maximum level and became the new ruler of Apokolips but he spent so much time leveling up that he neglected his friends' growth and they died during the fight against Darkseid. Zack even thinks Darkseid won by turning his life into Hell.
- Shout-Out: Each of the alternate Earths from the Christmas special have a specific year, Apokolips Zack is Darkseid's first apparition, followed by Supergirl, Lois Lane and Wonder Woman's years.
- Take That!: Zack stopped reading comics because Civil War (2006), One More Day' and Heroes in Crisis disgusted him so much that he lost interest in the medium as a whole.
- Unreliable Narrator: Zack describes himself as 'fairly tall', but he isn't.
- Villain with Good Publicity: Metropolis' people are unaware of Lex Luthor’s crimes (likes sending Metallo to kill Superman), they see him as a young philanthropist.
- Who Wants to Live Forever?: Superman was friend with Gally, a girl who descended from Greek gods, her lineage made her long lived to the point she chooses to be a heroine in the hope to die.
- 1970-Zack got the Omega effect and possibly became a god BUT his loved one died before him and told him they didn't want to be resurrected. Zack describes this loneliness as hell.
- Yandere: Carol, she wanted to blast Hal because he broke up with her, but she still wants him back.
