Beast Wars Fan Series is a Beast Wars fanfic — written in script form — written by Kenny Rutter and meant as a sequel/remake of the original series. It's been the author's labor of love for nearly ten years. Picking up 80,000 years after the Maximals and Predacons arrive on Earth and set during the American Civil War, the story follows the adventures of a teenager named Victoria Taylor who, after being trapped in the past thanks to a temporal anomaly, joins the fight to keep reality safe from the Predacons.

Some chapters (which the author refers to as "episodes") are retellings of episodes from the original series, but with some subtle differences, mostly in the addition of the new characters.

Beast Wars Fan Series provides examples of:

• Action Girl: Victoria, Blackarachnia, Airrazor....Basically name any main female character and you've got this trope.
• Action Film, Quiet Drama Scene: This trope is prevalent throughout the series, usually filling up entire episodes or filling entire arcs.
• All There in the Manual: Some characters, mostly one-off characters, are only named in the script and their names are not actually said during dialogue.
• An Arm and a Leg: It's not unusual for the robots to get torn apart in some fashion, though they can always be put back together. Especially if your name's Waspinator.
• And This Is for...: Victoria delivers this to Galvatron in the end, all while shooting him in the face.
  Victoria: This is for Natalie! (BAM!) For Bantor (BAM!) For Air Hammer!(BAM!) For Scorponok!(BAM!) For Tigatron!(BAM!) For Airazor!(BAM!) For Jason!(BAM!) For Dinobot!(BAM!) • Apocalypse How: Galvatron wants to use the Time Stones to rewrite history so that the Predacons rule the galaxy, which would entail utter annihilation on a universal scale.
• Artificial Beast: Per the norm when it comes to Beast Wars. Victoria and Natalie both freak out when they realize this.
• Artistic License – History: The series tries to be as accurate as possible when it comes to the Civil War, but don't be surprised if there's a mistake or two in there. The writer tried to be as accurate as possible when it came to the battles and what not.
• Audience Surrogate: This story is Victoria's story, and she is meant to act as the eyes and ears of the audience.
• Auto Cannibalism: Not only is there the Dinobot clone that Dinobot eats — grossing Victoria out — but just how many characters has GRIMLOCK eaten?
  • The answer: One (Terrorsaur). This isn't counting the humans he may or may not have killed and eaten when he was activated.
• Back for the Dead: As this is a pseudo-remake of the original series, Tigerhawk ends up dying at then end.
• Back from the Dead: Tigerhawk, Dinobot, Natalie (though she's a ghost), Bantor, Air Hammer (they, too, are ghosts)....
• Badass Boast:
  • Of a sort, when Victoria's brother asks her if she's scared during the final battle.
    Victoria: Of course I'm scared. Moreso than before. But don't worry. Everything's going to be fine. I'll protect you all. Now, if you'll excuse me, me and the Maximals have some Predacons to destroy.
  • Dinobot after killing Inferno:
    Dinobot: Where is your Royalty now?
  • Also, when Galvatron kills Tarantulas in the second movie, he gives us this:
    Galvatron: Megatron? Megatron is dead. You saw to that yourself, Tarantulas. I have a new name now. You should learn it before you die. I am Galvatron!
• Badass Normal: Victoria develops into this starting pretty early. Sure, she isn't perfect (she was never intended to be Sue-ish), but she's got more guts than most people. See the scenes where she takes on Galvatron with just a bow and arrow for an example.
• Back-to-Back Badasses: Cheetor and Tigatron end up like this near the end of Season One while fighting a horde of zombies.

• Bash Brothers: Cheetor and Bonecrusher were implied to be this before Bonecrusher's betrayal, then there's Cheetor and Tigatron, Cheetor and Dinobot....Basically, all the Maximals qualify, and even some of the Predacons, most notably Quickstrike and Bonecrusher.
• Battle Cry: Mostly from the Predacons.
  • For the Royalty!
  • For the glory of the Colony!
  • All hail Lord Megatron!
  • All hail Lord Galvatron!
  • Yee-haw! Get 'er Done!
  • Grimlock and Dinobot roaring. When that happens, shit's about to go down.
• Bears Are Bad News: One of the characters that Cheetor mentions at one point is a Maximal named Polar Claw, who even though we never see him, had taken on the Beast Form of a polar bear.
• Beauty Is Never Tarnished: Averted, as Victoria is always getting cut, beat up, and damaged in some way, shape, or form. As she says to her dad:
  Victoria: Papa, we fight the Predacons on an almost daily basis. I've been shot at, cut, burned, almost crushed, and almost eaten several times. All to protect you and everyone else back home, because if the Predacons win in this world, then history as we know it will change forever — one of the consequences of time travel.
• Berserk Button: For the longest time, Spittor was Cheetor's button. After Spittor's death, his button was harming Victoria. Or any of his friends, for that matter.
  • In fact, all the Maximals share that same button—threaten their friends and you're on the receiving end of a Curb-Stomp Battle.
  • For Victoria, if you threaten her friends or her home, she WILL end you. Just as Blackarachnia and the Insecticons. Or Galvatron. Oh wait, they're dead.
• Beware the Nice Ones: Victoria, by her nature, is actually a very sweet girl, but whatever you do, do NOT piss her off. She may be the weakest character physically, but when she gets into a fight — as Blackarachnia and the Panther Clan found out — she doesn't pull her punches. All that training the Maximals gave her seems to be paying off.
  • Also, Grimlock. He may be a gentle giant, but HOLY SCRAP does he know how to bring the pain when he has to. Being a Tyrannosaurus certainly helps.
• Big Bad: Megatron, and later on, his upgraded version, Galvatron. ESPECIALLY as Galvatron.
• Big Creepy-Crawlies: As before, most of the Predacons are giant bugs. Victoria doesn't say much when it comes to Quickstrike, Scorponock, Inferno, the Insecticons, or Waspinator, but THEN she sees the spiders.
  Victoria: I HATE SPIDERS!
• Big Brother Instinct: Cheetor starts off having this towards Victoria, saying during the first movie that she's like a little sister to him. It eventually blossoms into an Interspecies Romance from there.
• Big Damn Heroes: What's that, Maximals? You're getting your asses kicked? What's that, Predacons? The ground's starting to shake? Here comes Grimlock to save the day.
• Big Damn Kiss: It doesn't happen until the very end of the series. Though it's something that both Cheetor and Victoria had been wanting to do for some time.
• Big Damn Movie: Three of them, one per season.

• Bittersweet Ending: The Predacons are dead, reality has been restored, and the Maximals have gone back to Cybertron, but that means that Victoria will never see her friends again.
• Bloodless Carnage: Yeah, right!
• Body Horror: There's Silver Fox's transformation into the Wendigo, Cheetor's rather painful upgrade into his TransMetal 2 body, and the monsters in the Labyrinth.
• Brainwashed and Crazy: Rhinox and Victoria end up on the receiving end of this, Rhinox by the Predacons reprogramming him—which had bad results for the Predacons—and Victoria in both the first and third movies.
• Break the Cutie: Let's see here....
  • Well, you've got Cheetor, who used to be one of the most upbeat of the Maximals, until Bonecrusher betrayed them and Spittor killed Natalie. Poor cat had never been the same since.
  • Victoria goes through a lot in this series; besides getting beat up by the Predacons, her mental state takes a toll, and she starts having terrible nightmares about the Predacons winning the Beast Wars. Nightmares which came dangerously close to coming true.
  • Then there are one-off characters like Samantha and Shawna, who are not only suffering the losses of family members thanks to the Civil War, but are also targeted by the Predacons for one reason or another.
• Broad Strokes: Set after the events of the first season of the original series, but is more of a remake than anything, so it sort of gets a pass.
• Butt-Monkey: Once again, Waspinator fills this role, though Quickstrike, Bonecrusher, and occasionally Rattrap aren't out of the crosshairs.
  • This applies to Cyberbee as well, though after a while he stops showing up as much.
• Characterization Marches On: Victoria started off scared of everything she was seeing, though we did get a chance to see how resourceful she can be when the situation called for it; by the end of the series, she had developed into one of the most badass characters and was the one who delivered the killing blow on Galvatron.
  • Cheetor seemed like his normal self, joking and being sarcastic and witty, but then we learned what his beef with Spittor was and after Spittor conjured up a fake Natalie, Cheetor's attitude became more akin to that of Cloud Strife.
  • Megatron was always a jerkass, but after his upgrade into Galvatron and the discovery of the Time Stones, he became downright psychotic.
• Christmas Episode: The only thing that makes one episode a Christmas episode is the fact that it's set at Christmas time. Other than that, it's just another addition to the Action Movie, Quiet Drama Scene trope.
• Chivalrous Pervert: Tigatron is an INCREDIBLY tame example of this, though Cheetor notes that if Snowstalker were still alive, she'd be none too happy.
• Crossover: Two crossovers with My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic in the second season, each one taking place over the course of three episodes.
  • Word of God says that there were going to be more, but decided against. See What Could Have Been for more details.
• Cruel and Unusual Death:
  • Two Union soldiers eaten by Grimlock when he first comes online.
  • Terrorsaur gets eaten by Grimlock.
  • Scorponock gets slaughtered by Megatron after committing a villainous sacrifice to save Victoria.
  • Spittor gets caught in an Energon explosion.
  • Dinobot once again performs a heroic sacrifice (he gets better).
  • Razorbeast is blown up by Waspinator, of all bots.
  • Magmatron gets dunked in a pool of lava.
  • Tarantulas is torched by Galvatron. So is Optimus (he gets better). Blackarachnia suffers this fate at the end of the second season.
  • Jason takes an Energon crystal through the heart.
  • Most of the Panther Clan are eaten by the Panther King, who then has his neck snapped by Optimus.
  • Waspinator gets crushed by Galvatron.
  • Bonecrusher and Quickstrike are crushed by Grimlock.
  • Hardshell gets impaled and then beheaded by Victoria.
  • Sharpshot and Kickback are disemboweled by Cheetor.
  • Inferno gets his head split in half by Dinobot.
  • Rampage and Depth Charge are both caught in an Energon explosion.
  • Tigerhawk is melted by Galvatron.
  • Dinobot slices Scarem in half.
  • Natalie takes Spittor's shot through the gut.
  • Though we thankfully don't see it, Rattrap mentions that Bantor and Air Hammer had their molecules torn apart.
  • Galvatron takes a serious beating, before being shot by Victoria and thrown into a time rift.
  • And so many humans that it isn't funny.
• Darker and Edgier: As if the number of character deaths isn't enough, the tone of the story goes from "relatively dark" to "holy crap this is way too dark for young kids", despite the rating of K+.
• Deadpan Snarker: So many characters to name, but we can try:
  • Cheetor
  • Rattrap
  • Dinobot
  • Depth Charge
  • Airrazor (at times)
  • Scarem
  • Victoria
• Death Glare: Quite a few characters are skilled at giving these: Dinobot, Cheetor, Scarem, Grimlock, Optimus, and Victoria.
  • Silverbolt ended up on the receiving end of one of these from Victoria during the third movie.
    "Please stop looking at me like that. You're scaring me."
  • So did Rattrap in the final episode.
    Rattrap: What's with the look?
    Silverbolt: Rattrap, I have learned that when she gives you that look, you stop talking.
• Dinosaurs Are Dragons: You really can't blame the people in the Civil War times in calling Grimlock a "dragon", as very few people back then knew what a dinosaur was, and the T-Rex wouldn't be classified for at least another forty years. And it makes sense for Sir William to think Grimlock and Dinobot are dragons because he's from the Middle Ages and dragons were all over the place back then.
• Early-Installment Weirdness: It takes about half a season, if that, for the characters to get their personalities down.
• Expy: Many, many characters are expies of characters in other works. For example, Victoria is a clear expy of Kagome from Inuyasha.
  • Then there are the monsters that Victoria encounters in the Labyrinth, who are basically Lickers from Resident Evil, but with skin.
  • When in his human form, Chaos resembles Slenderman. He's also a much darker, more malevolent version of Discord.
• "Everybody Laughs" Ending: There are only a couple of these, and they're all in the first season.
• Evil Is Petty: Bonecrusher used to be a Maximal, but he willingly went over to the Predacons. Why? Because Airrazor wasn't falling for his romanitc advances.
• Eye Scream: Victoria has a habit of shooting Galvatron in the eye with an arrow. Galvatron lampshades this when Optimus jabs him in the eye with a light pole.
  Galvatron: What is it with you and the human going for the eye?!
  • Also, after Dinobot beats the everlasting slag out of him, he jabs his claws into Inferno's eyes before splitting Inferno's head in half. Did we mention that we see all this from Inferno's point of view?
• Family-Unfriendly Death: We shall direct you to Cruel and Unusual Death above.
• Fate Worse than Death: Until they merge into Tigerhawk, Tigatron and Airrazor are trapped in the Spirit World, leaving their friends to wonder if they're even dead or alive.
  • Word of God says that the creatures Victoria fights in the labyrinth were once humans who had gotten trapped in the caverns and mutated into what they are now.
  • Then there's Galvatron, who was thrown into a time rift at the end. Is he alive and stuck in an empty void, or did he die as soon as the time rift closed? That's up to reader speculation.
• A Father to His Men: Optimus Primal fills the role of surrogate father to everyone. Makes sense, considering how much he cares for his team.
• Foreshadowing: During Victoria's dream in the third movie, Natalie says that Victoria will end up giving her life in the final battle. That doesn't happen.
• Furry Reminder: Even in Robot Form, the Transformers sometimes act like the animals they transform into.
  • Also, we usually see Grimlock hunting deer and other game animals.
• Gambit Pileup: Megatron never gave up looking for the Golden Disk, he was just making it look like he had swapped priorities to gathering Energon. Once Dinobot destroys the Golden Disk, he has to change his plans.
• Gentle Giant: Grimlock. Victoria repeatedly calls him "the biggest sweetheart" she'd ever met, and describes him to her friends back home as a big guy with the biggest golden heart.
  • This is also true of Optimal Optimus Primal.
• A God Am I: Once he gets the Time Stones, Galvatron actually believes himself to be the most powerful being in the universe. As he puts it:
  Maximals! Behold the object of your final destruction! And behold the one who will bring it upon you! I am the dominator! I am the destroyer! I am the alpha!I am the omega! And with this final Time Stone, I have become death, destroyer of worlds.
• Gory Discretion Shot: We don't see what Bantor or Air Hammer do to that second monster in the Labyrinth, but judging by the reactions of Victoria and Cyberbee, maybe it's for the best.
• Grand Theft Me: Starscream's Spark takes over Waspinator's body at one point in the first season.
• Half the Man He Used to Be: Dinobot slices Scarem in half at the end of the series.
• He Who Fights Monsters: More like SHE who fights monsters.
• Heroic Sacrifice:
  • Scorponock performs the villainous version when he takes the brunt of Megatron's attack to save Victoria.
  • Dinobot once again does this, this time to protect a tribe of Native Americans. He gets better.
  • Tigerhawk tries to attack Galvatron, but gets torched and melted for his troubles.
• Gratuitous German: Stinkbomb is said to have a German accent and occasionally uses German words and phrases.
• Gratuitous Spanish: Spittor is a Costa Rican poison arrow frog, so of course he would throw some Spanish into his speech.
• Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: A bunch of bulky robots and one human girl? How do you think that will scale up?
• I Let Gwen Stacy Die!: Cheetor feels this way when it comes to Natalie, so much so that this is his main motivation for wanting to keep Victoria safe.
• If You Kill Him, You Will Be Just Like Him!: By the end of the third movie, Victoria gets ready to kill Jean-Louis, though the other Maximals stop her by telling her that she'd be no better than Galvatron if she did.
  • This is also why Cheetor didn't kill him despite the constant threats of ripping out his heart.
• Interspecies Romance: Natalie to Cheetor; Victoria to Cheetor; Great Bear to Airrazor....How would a romance between a human and a robot work?
• Killed Off for Real: Terrorsaur, Scorponock, Spittor (though he continues to haunt Cheetor), Tigatron, Airrazor, Bantor, Air Hammer (though Bantor and Air Hammer show up as ghosts from time to time), Depth Charge, Tigerhawk, Jason, most of the Panther Clan, and all the Predacons.
• Jerk with a Heart of Gold: This can describe quite a few characters, but notable standouts are:
  • Dinobot. He's brash, arrogant, a [Proud Warrior Race Guy], but deep down, he deeply cares for his comrades in arms, and shows genuine remorse after being brought back to the Maximals, considering what he did as a Predacon during that brief time.
  • Rattrap. Snarky, pessimistic, and has a tendency to complain, but he's one of the most dependable Maximals on the team.
  • Cheetor. The Kid-Appeal Character who was once impulsive and did whatever he could to impress Optimus Primal is now a brooding Expy of Cloud Strife, given that he's experienced several tragedies in the past — betrayals, watching friends die, failing to save his human love interest — and he's doing whatever he can to prevent any of that from happening again.
  • Some would say that Victoria develops this sort of personality later on. She becomes more bull-headed and stubborn, sometimes outright ignores Optimus's orders, denies help from the other Maximals, but this is all because the brutal reality of war is catching up to her — not to mention the constant time travel distancing her from her friends and family.
  • Heck, even Bonecrusher and Quickstrike — they may be Predacons, but during the finale they tell each other that they wouldn't have anyone else as a best friend...before Grimlock kills them.
• Lampshade Hanging:
  • You'd think all this time travel would have adverse effects on the time stream. This is brought up more than once.
  • We also get one from Rattrap during the final battle:
    "Why does it have to rain or something during times like this?"
• Look What I Can Do Now!: Whenever a character goes through some sort of upgrade.
• MacGuffin: The Time Stones in Season Three.
  • And before that, Energon.
• Meaningful Echo: Whether intentional on Blackarachnia's part or not, she paraphrases Dinobot at one point:
  Dinobot: Galvatron, your insane ambitions will kill us all.
  Blackarachnia: Well, what did you expect, you tin terrorist? That I would die for your insane ambitions?
• Mind-Control Eyes: Victoria displays these when under Magmatron's influence thanks to him controlling the Energon he made her absorb.
  • Also courtesy of the voodoo priest Jean-Louis in the third movie.
• Mind Rape: Chaos does this to most of the Maximals, turning them against each other. Then there's the way the Labyrinth beats down the wills of the Maximals (except for Victoria, who powers through it). It's also shown that while humans are immune to the adverse effects of Energon and can in fact absorb it, too much will drive them insane or put them under the control of someone who knows how to manipulate it, as what happens to Victoria during the first movie.
• Mix-and-Match Critters:
  • Silverbolt: Wolf and eagle
  • Quickstrike: Cobra and scorpion
  • Bantor: Tiger and mandrill
  • Air Hammer: Hammerhead shark and red-tailed hawk.
  • Magmatron: Spinosaurus, Quetzocoatalus, and Elasmosaurus
• Musical Episode: The episode "The Show Must Go On" involves Victoria as the female lead in the school play, which is actually an opera of sorts.
• Mythology Gag: Most are references to events from the original series, but there's also hints that this series may take place during the same time as Transformers: Prime, or at least the live-action Transformers movies.
  • Then there's also Magmatron's dying sentence at the end of the first movie, to which Optimus calls him a "Unicron wannabe".
  • And this bit from Galvatron's reveal in the second movie:
    Tarantulas: Who dares interrupt my coronation?
    Galvatron: Coronation, Tarantulas? This is bad comedy, yess.
• Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Sure, Victoria, try to upload Dinobot's datatrax to Dinobot II and have him come back to the Maximals, it's not like it will almost get Rattrap killed or anything.
• The Nicknamer:
  • Rattrap never calls Victoria by name until the end of the series. Until then, he always refers to her as "kid" or "kiddo". The same thing goes for Megatron/Galvatron, who always calls her "that bothersome human" or "my little one".
  • Then there's Grimlock, who has a nickname for everyone such as "Kitty Cat" for Cheetor, "Mouse Boy" for Rattrap, and "Little Girl" for Victoria.
• No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Grimlock vs. Galvatron. Galvatron gets his ass WHOOPED.
• Oh, Crap!: All the Predacons (yes, even Megatron/Galvatron) have this reaction whenever Grimlock shows up.
  • Same with Optimus when Galvatron starts attacking The Ark.
• Panthera Awesome: A cheetah, a tiger, a cross between a tiger and a hawk....
• Precision F-Strike:
  • The most blatant example is Blackarachnia at the end of Season Two while arguing with Silverbolt.
    Blackarachnia: Shut up, shut up, shut up, SHUT THE FRAK UP!
  • Then there's Depth Charge at the end of the series while fighting Rampage.
    Depth Charge: Raw Energon, X, right through your twisted Spark! Take it. Take it straight to hell, you sickening piece of slag!
  • And Galvatron, multiple times.
    (from Movie 2): See for yourselves all the powers of hell! (later): Burn! Burn in the fires of hell!
    (from The Agenda: Part 3): And now, I unleash the fall of vengeance and let loose the fires of hell!
  • And Cheetor, in the second movie, towards Galvatron.
    "You bastard!"
• Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: I! Am! Galvatron!
  • Don't. You. Dare!
  • I! HATE! SPIDERS!
  • All. Hail. Megatron.
  • All. Hail. Galvatron.
  • In the Lord's hands, it is. Both life. And death.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: Sort of. The writer was in the Army for a while and spent some time in a war zone, and he took that experience and had Victoria suffer some of those effects, such as the bad dreams and how snappy she can be at times.
• "The Reason You Suck" Speech:
  • In "The Final Countdown, Part 2", the Maximals — save for Victoria — have been beaten and broken by the mind-raping powers of the Labyrinth, prompting Victoria to say this:
    I don't believe this. I don't believe this. Here we are, so close to bringing this to an end, so close to beating the Predacons and saving the universe, and you just want to quit? All because we've been going through a cave? All because you've had some experience you don't want to talk about? Please tell me I'm not hearing this? (when no one responds) Oh my gosh, I AM hearing this. Here you are, the people who taught me to be strong, the people who have taught me so much, given me so much courage and strength, the people who have become my closest friends, just stopping when we are so close to ending all this. And now you want to stop, call it quits, because you're a little scared? You know that courage you've all given me? Well, maybe you should have kept some for yourselves. But that's fine. I don't need you. I'll save the universe by myself. I'll save Cybertron, I'll save my home, I'll destroy the Predacons without any of you.
  • Optimus is at the receiving end of one from Optimus Prime thanks to the Labyrinth screwing with his head:
    Have you forgotten that the Predacons gathered the Time Stones? They have rewritten history, bent reality to their will. Life in the universe hangs on by a thread. We have taken to hiding deep within Cybertron, because you, Optimus Primal, you have failed. You failed Cybertron. You failed the Maximals. You failed me. Failed. Failed. Failed.
• The Reveal: Megatron had never stopped looking for the Golden Disk. Until Dinobot destroys it.
  • That stone that Rampage finds, and that stone tablet that Victoria finds? Turns out that that stone tablet tells the legend of the Time Stones, and that stone Rampage found IS one of the Time Stones.
• Roaring Rampage of Revenge: When Spittor kills Natalie, Cheetor goes absolutely apeshit on him, to the point where, when Air Hammer snaps him out of it, he's confused and doesn't know what just happened.
  • This is actually true of people who get angry in real life. Sometimes they lose themselves in their anger and don't know what's going on.
• Running Gag: Any plan Victoria makes, for the most part, consists of her just winging it:
  Rattrap: Alright, kid, what's the plan?
  Victoria: I'm making it up as I go.
  Rattrap: I hate it when you say that.
• Secret-Keeper: Until the Christmas episode in Season 2, Victoria had been keeping her time traveling escapades a secret from her friends. After a while, she couldn't take it anymore and came clean.
• Shout-Out:
  • 24 (Victoria asks why she never dreams of Jack Bauer in the first episode)
  • Doctor Who (actually referenced by name during Victoria's dream in the third movie)
  • Transformers: Prime (Dark Energon is referenced, as is its power to bring back the dead)
  • Resident Evil (the monsters in the Labyrinth are basically Lickers, but with skin)
  • Gargoyles (David Xanatos is mentioned)
  • Final Fantasy (the conflict between Cheetor and Spittor is akin to the conflict between Cloud and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7)
  • Inuyasha (Victoria is a clear expy of Kagome, and she even tells Levi's dog at one point to "Sit", just like Kagome does with Inuyasha; Depth Charge also has hints of Sesshomaru's attituce, Nani is basically Rin, and Cybershark is a more courageous version of Jaken)
  • Gundam (When Grimlock goes to the future, the bad guys are seen walking around in these mechs that look like Gundams)
• Shut Up, Hannibal!:
  • Mostly directed towards Megatron/Galvatron.
    Cheetor: How about I remedy your existence, Mega-Jerk!
    Victoria: Galvatron, you are so dispicable. Now, DIE!
  • Cheetor also delivers a good one towards Spittor at the end of Season 1:
    Shut up. Just the thought of what you did to me and Natalie all those decades ago makes me sick. Even worse than that is seeing you alive and kicking and still reeking of that darn swamp smell. Just that gives me the strength to destroy you, you sick monster! This is for Natalie! And Victoria!
  • And while fighting Spittor in the movie:
    Spittor: You will have to do better than that.
    Cheetor: Spare me your mockery, frog. I plan on it!
  • Perhaps the best one is in the final episode, as a retread of Optimus's and Megatron's conversation at the end of the original series:
    Galvatron: What, no destiny and honor speech?
    Optimus Primal: Speech...(*PUNCHES GALVATRON*) This! Murderer.
• The Smurfette Principle: After Airrazor and Blackarachnia are killed off, Victoria becomes the primary female character.
• Stuff Blowing Up: Especially during the big action scenes in towns and cities.
• Taking You with Me:
  • Cheetor TRIES to invoke this during his final battle with Spittor; Spittor dies, Cheetor lives.
  • Depth Charge DOES invoke this during his final fight with Rampage. Early on in Season Three, Depth Charge says that the fight would claim both their lives.
  • Galvatron tries to drag Optimus into the time rift with him, but is stopped by the other Maximals pulling Optimus out and Victoria shooting him in the face.
• Tank Goodness: Rampage's Vehicle Form when he becomes a TransMetal is, of course, a big tank.
• 10-Minute Retirement: After Dinobot's death, Victoria says that she's going to stop fighting. Blackarachnia and the Insecticons quickly change those plans.
• Threatening Shark: Cybershark's Beast Form is a mako shark, but he's not a jerk like one would expect. He's very loyal to Depth Charge and helps keep Nani safe after they "adopt" her.
• Time Travel: This is a big part of the series, and though we don't SEE the consequences of it too much, it's constantly brought up.
• Timey-Wimey Ball: While the events in the Beast Wars World (the Civil War) end up shaping the events in Victoria's world (the present), it's not always addressed. About the only thing that comes out of it is a potential explanation of how the Trans-Warp Gate ended up in Victoria's world.
• Unusual Euphemism: "Slag" and "scrap" are the most obvious ones, but this series likes to throw in another word from time to time: "Frak".
• Villain Song: Galvatron, of all characters, gets one, though the script says it's more of a villainous monologue.
• We Used to Be Friends: Bonecrusher was one of Cheetor's best buddies before he decided to become a Predacon.
• What Happened to the Mouse??: What ever happened to Devon? He was only in the first movie, after which he sort of dropped off the face of the earth. At least people like Levi had an excuse, such as being in the Union or Confederate Army or, in the case of Shawna and her mother Julia, trying to rebuild their town and reputation after a Predacon attack. But Devon? He's gone.
  • There was also a character named Doc who appeared at the end of the third episode and the beginning of the fourth episode before vanishing. Wordof God has it that Tarantulas's spider drones killed him. How his science lab stayed open after that, though, is anyone's guess.
• Why Don't You Just Shoot Him??: Optimus is trying not to resort to that, even if they DO have 120 years to scrape Megatron off the walls of The Ark.
• Yoda Speak: This is Scarem's main speech pattern.
• You Can't Fight Fate: Natalie tells Victoria during a dream that Victoria was always meant to bring balance back to reality, and that she may have to give her life in the final battle after dealing the killing blow to Galvatron. While she DOES finish off Galvatron and restore reality, she manages to do so without dying, thankfully.
• Zombie Apocalypse: The Predacons try to invoke this at the end of the first season, but the Maximls quickly put an end to that.
• 0% Approval Rating: While the Predacons follow Megatron's orders, some of them do it very reluctantly and some of them — mainly Tarantulas and Blackarachnia — turn their backs on him for one reason or another.
