Howard Jerome Morris (September 4, 1919 – May 21, 2005) was an American actor, comedian, voice artist and director best known for his roles as Ernest T. Bass on The Andy Griffith Show (1963–65), Tigger in The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977), and Dr. Zidell in Splash (1984).
He was married to Mary Helen McGowan and Dolores A. Wylie and had four children.
Morris died in 2005 at the age of 85 from congestive heart failure.
