    Alejandro

  • Adaptational Sexuality: A variant. He claims to be aromantic, but he's still questioning if that's 100% the case.
  • Disabled in the Adaptation: In All Stars, we assume Alejandro's legs were actually healed. In reality, his legs WERE permanently damaged, and Chris didn't give him a wheelchair out of pure spite.
  • Morality Pet: He was there to help Heather grow out of her mean image.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: Is in a queerplatonic relationship with Heather.
  • Scars Are Forever: Years after being badly burned by the volcano explosion, he still has scars on his face and torso.

    Amy

  • Bullying the Disabled: Upon seeing Alejandro she loudly vocals her disgust with him being in a wheelchair.
  • Character Development: Seems to go to this, wanting Heather to help her get better and stop the hate she’s constantly getting.
  • Hated by All: Her abuse of Sammy on Total Drama has made her into a pariah.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Considering how much shit she would put her sister in, can we say she really did have this coming?
  • Never My Fault: Implied at first, as it appears she doesn’t think she was toxic towards Sammy, but later played straight when she is diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder and comes to think that Sammy has no right to be mad at her because of her condition.

    Angela

  • Beauty Is Bad: An attractive and well-endowed woman who just so happens to be a pedophile.
  • Double Standard Rape: Female on Male: Averted; She's unambiguously depicted as being nothing more than a disgusting child molester and the source of a lot of Mike's trauma.
  • Fan Disservice: She wears outfits that expose a good amount of cleavage and is typically shown with a lustful smile... but considering she's only ever shown when Vito explains that she was a sexually abusive pedophile, it firmly lands her here.
  • Hate Sink: She's usually only seen in flashbacks, and when she is, she's portrayed in a very unflattering light since she sexually abused Mike.
  • Pædo Hunt: To quote Vito:
Vito: She was a sick, perverted monster who liked little boys.
  • Parental Incest: Though they're (thankfully) not biologically related, this still counts since she was one of Mike's various legal guardians and sexually abused him as a child.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: It's unclear as to what happened to Angela. We don't know if she got arrested for molesting Mike, or if she got away with it.

    Bridgette

  • Babies Ever After: She and Geoff already have three kids, but she secretly tells Sierra that she will soon have another one.

    Cameron

    Cecily

  • Age-Gap Romance: Brutally deconstructed and then reconstructed again. Heather and Gwen do not hesitate to lay into Courtney for dating someone who isn't even in their 20s yet and suggest that her relationship with Cecily is based on her being more naive and easier to manipulate. Despite this, Cecily and Courtney are shown to love each other sincerely, even if the age gap makes things difficult.
  • Childish Tooth Gap: The gap between her teeth actually foreshadows that she's younger than Courtney.
  • Good with Numbers: Is known for being a math wiz. To wit:
    • She can guess the number of jellybeans in a jar just by looking at it.
    • She went to college early.
  • Original Character: Cecily doesn't exist within the canon and is original to the comic.
  • Settle for Sibling: After her relationship with Courtney ends, she starts dating Courtney's younger sister Charlotte.

    Charlotte

    Chef Hatchet

    Chris McLean

  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Unlike the original Chris, who was a full-blown sociopath, this version of Chris does seem to regret what he did to his former show contestants. This is shown when he sheds a tear when he gets word that Duncan tried to kill himself and tries to visit him in the hospital.
  • The Atoner: As of Volume 2, Chris is trying to make amends with the former contestants he wronged in what he calls "The Chris McLean Redemption Tour".
    • His first attempt is trying to rehabilitate/reintegrate Ezekiel into society, with little success.
    • Chris' second stop is him visiting Sam and Dakota and trying to find a way to make the latter human again.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: According to Wyatt, Chris actually wanted to free Alejandro after he healed, but after he was arrested and sent to prison for a year, he showed horror and anger towards Chef for keeping him in the robot.
  • Hated by All: Is shown to be despised by all the contestants, shown when Chris attempts to enter the room after hearing Duncan’s attempted suicide, and is rewarded by being kicked by Izzy and everyone screaming at him to get out.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Yes, he's the reason most of the cast is screwed up as adults, but he brings up a good point that in terms of Duncan's suicide attempt, the blood is on everyone's hands since they didn't show up when Duncan got out of jail.
  • Karma Houdini: Is shown to still be living his best life even after everything, however, is despised by practically everyone and is acknowledged that his last shows ended up costing him too much money.
  • Single Tear: Chris sheds one of these when he gets the call that Duncan tried to commit suicide.

    Courtney

  • Adaptational Sexuality: She's bisexual in the comic, whereas her canon counterpart was only ever seen being attracted to men.
  • Age-Gap Romance: Courtney is 24 and is with Cecily, who's 19. It's deconstructed when Heather claims that their relationship is built on Cecily being more naive with relationships, but it's reconstructed since Courtney's love for Cecily is legitimate.
  • Arbitrary Skepticism: A realistic example. At first, Courtney doesn’t believe that Duncan tried to kill himself. A couple of panels later, she’s speeding through traffic, urgently trying to get to the hospital.
  • Control Freak: One of Courtney's traits (and her biggest flaw) is that she's a control freak. Heather, and later Courtney herself, says it's because she wants to be the one in control of the relationship, and it's the reason why she dates people that are younger than her. It's sad as she feels that as long as things are in her hands, she can stop bad things from happening, but when things aren't, it makes her afraid.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Once Cecily breaks up with her in the hospital while waiting for Duncan, she's reduced to tears.
  • Drives Like Crazy: Justified. Courtney is driving like crazy, trying to get to the hospital because Duncan attempted to kill himself.
  • Has a Type: People that are younger than her. Heather thinks this is because Courtney wants to be in control of the relationship, and she's right.
  • Really Gets Around: Zigzagged. Courtney has dated numerous people, mostly men, but Cecily is the first girl she's dated. It's unknown if she's slept with any of these people.
  • Stepford Smiler: At first, Courtney smiles and shakes her head when she gets word that Duncan tried to kill himself, believing he'd never do that. Cut to her speeding down the road with tears in her eyes.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She still isn't the nicest person and her relationship with Cecily is portrayed as flawed, but her love for her is sincere and she's been shown to care about Duncan, showing disgust when Duncan's mom tried weaselling her way out of the hospital to avoid seeing her own son.
  • You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: Courtney gives one of these when Duncan's mom tries to weasel her way out of the hospital her son is staying after his suicide attempt.

    Cody

    Dakota

  • Adaptational Sexuality: In canon, Dakota was only seen attracted to men; in this story, she's still in a relationship with Sam even after they transition to female.
  • Non-Idle Rich: She is a Youtuber, and it's heavily implied that she does that out of personal satisfaction, and not because of the income. When Chris tries to offer Dakota a financial compensation for the mutations she suffered, she says it's of no use because she can already have everything money can buy thanks to her father.
  • Virtual Youtuber: She has become one, with Sam handling the technical side of things like her rig. Given that she has all the money she could need thanks to her rich father, it's likely less for the income and more because she enjoys it.

    DJ

    Duncan

  • Abusive Parents: When Duncan tries to return to his house after his stint in jail, his mom turns him away and tells him to go before his dad sees him. When she gets word of his suicide attempt, she doesn't even try to see him and makes a flimsy excuse about work so she can leave the hospital.
  • And Then What?: A fellow prisoner asks Duncan his plans when he gets out. Duncan doesn't say anything.
  • An Arm and a Leg: His suicide attempt results in him having to get both of his legs amputated.
  • Badass Longcoat: Duncan wears one after he's finally released from jail.
  • Best Friend: Duncan is best friends with Geoff, owing to their relationship in the original TDI. When the gang gathers at the hospital after his suicide attempt, Geoff reveals that Duncan had him as his emergency contact instead of his own mom.
  • Deconstructed Character Archetype: Duncan's character as "The Delinquent" is realistically played straight in this comic as it shows how hard your life will be when you spend your youth going in and out of jail. Duncan can't get a job because of his record, his family won't take him back because they're ashamed, he can't find anywhere else to live because the church and homeless shelters won't take criminals, and he can't go into rehab because he has no money. With his life so bleak and empty, is it any surprise that Duncan tries to kill himself?
  • Despair Event Horizon: After failing to find a job and home after his release from jail, being abandoned by his family, spending a night on the streets, and thinking his friends don't care about him, Duncan decides to kill himself. He fails, however.
  • Driven to Suicide: After Duncan tries and fails to reintegrate into society after being in jail for so long, he attempts suicide by standing in the path of a speeding truck.
  • Go Out with a Smile: Duncan stands in the path of an oncoming semi-truck, throwing up hand signs with a big smile, ready to die.
  • Made of Iron: Downplayed. Duncan survives his suicide attempt, and while the upper half of his body is relatively okay, he loses both legs.]]
  • Shadow Archetype: To Heather. Duncan symbolizes what Heather could've been like if she hadn't moved on from her original TDI character; whereas she got help, made peace with herself, and grew out of the "Queen Bee" image that everyone sees her as... he didn't. Duncan got worse as he fell deeper into his "Delinquent" role; when people said he was becoming soft (becoming nicer), Duncan wanted to prove that he hadn't by blowing up Chris' mansion in All-Stars. It worked too well, leading to him getting arrested and in jail.
  • Thousand-Yard Stare: Duncan gives a long, uncomfortable look into space when another prisoner asks what he'll do when the jail lets him out.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Rudely laughs at Harold and Leshawna for coming to visit him in Homestuck cosplays, ignoring that they were in a cosplay convention which they left early on to see him like the others.

    Ethan

  • Imaginary Friend: A subversion played for laughs. When in a chapter Cody asks Trent where Ethan is, Trent tells Cody that Ethan was just a figment of his imagination, to Cody's horror. But right after, Ethan appears and kisses Cody, and Trent's answer turned out to be just a joke.
  • Original Character: Doesn't exist in canon.

    Ezekiel

    Geoff

  • Babies Ever After: He and Bridgette already have three kids, but unknown to him, he will soon father a fourth one.

    Gwen

  • Adaptational Sexuality: Straight in the series proper, but bisexual in the comic. Her only love interest in the comic so far is Heather who she enters a romantic relationship with towards the end of Volume 1. Courtney was also planned as a potential love interest however Wyatt scrapped this idea, with Gwen turning down Courtney's impulsive kiss at the end of the first volume.
  • Hollywood Pudgy: Wyatt has been mentioning wanting to make Gwen fat since Volume 1, however Gwen's "chubby" design from Volume 2 barely looks any bigger than her usual figure. Gwen's hips and waist are slightly bigger but she's definitely not chubby, let alone fat, her body is merely curvy like Courtney or Zoey's.

    Harold
  • Ambiguous Gender Identity: Cisgender and straight in the series proper, but non-binary (or so it seems) in the comic. That said, Harold still forms part of "The Drama Brothers", cosplays as male characters, is in a relationship with Leshawna and seems to go by "he/him" pronouns.

    Heather

  • Adaptational Sexuality: Whereas her canon counterpart only showed interest in men, Heather's comic counterpart is a lesbian. Her relationship with Alejandro is portrayed as a queerplatonic one.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: With Alejandro, as they're in a queerplatonic relationship.
  • Then Let Me Be Evil: She fell into her mean persona more and more because of being forced to play it up when she was on Total Drama.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Has grown out of her Alpha Bitch image and formed a close friendship with Gwen.

    Izzy

  • Cerebus Retcon: Her outlandish personality is recontextualized with her backstory as a former child actress - she experienced a lot of abuse and was exposed to sexual harassment (including one of the Total Drama producers' actions towards Lindsay).
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Even after Total Drama, her rather odd personality has not gone away.
  • Former Child Star: A more classic example when compared to the rest of the cast. She's a former child actress who experienced a lot of abuse in her day, which probably explains her bizarre behavior.

    Jo
  • Adaptational Sexuality: Jo seems to be in a relationship with a girl, whereas in canon, she was interested in kissing a guy.

    Justin

    Leshawna

    Lindsay/Donna

  • Cerebus Retcon: Her ditzy moments are recontextualized as dissociation. Her being sexually harassed by one of the Total Drama producers as a teenager likely contributed too.
  • Dumb Blonde: Played with in that she's genuinely competent, but her dissociative disorder and reputation on Total Drama aren't exactly helping her out all too much, especially in getting a job. She also defies the trope by dying her hair brown in an attempt to escape the stereotype that she was stuck with since her participation in Total Drama.
  • Meaningful Rename: She changes her name to Donna to escape her bad reputation from the show.

    Mike/Vito/Svetlana/Chester

  • Cerebus Retcon: The reason Vito became one of Mike's personalities is because Mike was sexually assaulted by one of his foster mothers.
  • Double Standard Rape: Female on Male: Averted; Mike was molested by his foster mother Angela, and it's treated as being an absolutely traumatizing experience for him.
Vito: There is no flowery way to say something like this. [Angela] was a sick, perverted monster who liked little boys.
  • Happily Adopted: Mike was eventually adopted officially at 15, and the parents he's with are implied to be really nice.

    Noah

    Owen
  • Adaptational Sexuality: Owen was Ambiguously Bi in the series canon, but the comic confirms that he's in a three-way relationship with Noah and Justin.
  • Big Fun: Maintains his lovability (and weight) even after Total Drama ended.
  • Polyamory: Is in a gay throuple with Noah and Justin.

    Paula

  • Earn Your Happy Ending: By the end of volume 1, and with Tyler's help, she's able to reunite with her sister Lindsay.
  • Unseen No More: Is only mentioned in canon, but appears in the comic.

    Sam

    Samey

  • Abusive Parents: Implied, because when she moves in with Gwen, one of the reasons she is happy is that she doesn't need to deal with her parents anymore.
  • Grew a Spine: Managed to be much more confident after talking back to Amy, cutting contact with her and her parents
  • Nonconformist Dyed Hair: After leaving her parents' house and moving in with Gwen, she dyes her hair lavender.

    Sierra

  • Adaptational Sexuality: A variant; she's Aromantic.
  • Closet Key: Was this for Heather during the events of World Tour.
  • Mistaken for Cheating: The storyline with her and Cody revolves around this. Since Cody is trans, he couldn't give her a biological child, so she went to a sperm bank to get pregnant. Cody mistakenly assumes she was cheating on him with another man.
  • Nonconformist Dyed Hair: Averted. While she had this in canon, in this comic, by the time Sierra reaches 24, her hair is dark brown, which seems to be her natural hair color.

    Trent

  • Amicable Exes: Has a still good relationship with Gwen, forgiving each other for the other’s grievances.
  • Nice Guy: Even after the show, Trent is still shown to be a calm and chill person.

    Tyler

  • Carpet of Virility: His shirts leave his hairy chest partially visible.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: By the end of volume 1, he's able to reunite with Lindsay.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Tyler's advice to Lindsay to change her identity so she wouldn't be associated with Total Drama backfires badly. Because of her dissociative disorder, Lindsay falls deeper into her new "Donna" identity and cuts ties with her original life, causing her sister and Tyler to go looking for her.
  • Stating the Simple Solution: When Paula tells him that Lindsay disappeared, Tyler asks why doesn't she call the police to help look for her. For a moment, she considers doing it but claims that her sister just needs help and that they need to find her themselves.

    Zoey

  • I Just Want to Be Loved: Zoey's reason for doing lewd things on Instagram, given how she had no friends growing up.
  • Lust Object: This is essentially what her rather perverted followers view her as. Needless to say, this has started to take a toll on her.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Deconstructed big time. She posts lewd pictures of herself on Instagram, but when she speaks about her own issues, her fanboys still just want to have sex with her.
