Jacqui
Tropes associated with Jacqui:
- Berserk Button: You don't want to piss him off...
- Knight in Sour Armor: He's cynical of the outside world, but he does what he can to help those in need.
- The Leader: He's headstrong and driven...most of the time.
- Playing with Fire: He is somewhat of a pyrokinetic. Did we mention he bursts into flames when he gets angry?
- Precision F-Strike: If he does get mad, he resorts to swearing. A lot.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: For Jacqui, despite being associated with the color of red and the fire element, he's more associated with the Blue Oni. He's disciplined and determined, but is very hotheaded, and can rage out immediately when provoked.
Maxie
Tropes associated with Maxie:
- Chivalrous Pervert: He loves the ladies, but at least he respects them...unlike a certain mouse...
- The Lancer: He's the laid-back brother, and the silly guy of the five.
- Making a Splash: Quite literally.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: For Maxie, despite being associated with the color of blue and the water element, he's more associated with the Red Oni. He's cocky and arrogant, but laid-back and easygoing.
Rodger
Tropes associated with Rodger:
- Acrofatic: He might be fat (don't say it in front of him), but he can move.
- The Alcoholic: You know it! His favourite whisky is Jack Daniel's.
- Berserk Button:
- He doesn't get mad as much, but whatever you do, don't call him fat.
- God forbid you call him a rat. You had better run like hell.
- The Casanova: He's always preying on the finest chick he sees, and to the surprise of many, his approach works...most of the time.
- Extreme Omnisexual: That's his MO mostly cause he can get with any species."Look, whenever I see a fine ass, only thing I think about is fuckin'! If I can't do that, then it's that other thing for me."
- Fat Best Friend: He plays Type A of this trope to a T.
- Informed Judaism: He doesn't keep kosher (despite being lactose intolerant) and he celebrates Christmas...but he also celebrates Hanukkah and he was raised by his mother (who is Jewish)...he doesn't explicitly say he's Jewish unless asked.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He might be a chauvinistic, perverted jerk, but he cares about his friends...mostly.
- Kavorka Man: Many people don't understand why he gets all the ladies.
- Lovable Sex Maniac: He enjoys pornography, and anything he does (especially getting girls to have sex with him) always ends up comically.
- Twofer Token Minority: Culturally, he's 1/4 African American, 1/4 Irish Catholic, and half French Jewish; he was raised in his mother's faith (which is Jewish). This is downplayed, considering this is a cast of mostly non-human animals.
Shirley
Tropes associated with Shirley:
- Cool Big Sis: She's a surrogate version of this to Mallie and Oscar.
- Expy:
Word of God has admitted that she's a mix of Sandy Cheeks from SpongeBob SquarePants, Marlene from The Penguins of Madagascar, and Darlene from Squirrel Boy. - The Pollyanna: She always keeps a positive attitude, and is always kind to others. Though she isn't immune to a Rage Breaking Point.
- Rose-Haired Sweetie: Maxie affectionately calls her "Pinky". It also helps that Maxie is associated with the colour blue!
Carmine
Tropes associated with Carmine:
- Ethical Slut: She loves having sex, and is very open about it. (It helps that she's a pansexual as well.) She Really Gets Around a lot. She does also have respect for others and makes sure her partners are comfortable with what they're getting into.
- Hartman Hips: She's got them hips! There might be guesses as to how she got them - reindeer (at least in fiction) have big rear ends; she might be part-Brazilian, and you might already know what they're associated with; it could also be the artist/creator's drawing style...either way, those hips are a good factor for Shaking the Rump.
- Shaking the Rump: A certified twerk queen.
- The Tease: She's a certified tease, alright! And her booty draws a lot of attention.

Mallie
Tropes associated with Mallie:
- Adorably Precocious Child: Despite being a young fox, she takes whatever job she's handed seriously, and is often teased for her age.
- Big Brother Worship:"I'd want to be just like them one day. Protecting the world, that is."
- Curious as a Monkey: She's in awe, and wants to figure things out.
Pepe
Tropes assocated with Pepe:
- Eloquent in My Native Tongue: Since he moved up to California a few years ago, he's still fluent in Spanish, but he speaks some English phrases.
- Immigrant Patriotism: He's not really homesick, as he's more comfortable being in the States (mainly due to the friends he's made since moving there).
- Misunderstood Loner with a Heart of Gold: To an extent. Being an immigrant, he was a bit of an outsider, but he was accepted by the critters in Critterton. He's always loyal to them.
Ritchie
Ritchie Muttley is the resident geek in the series.Tropes associated with Ritchie:
- Proud to Be a Geek: Of course. He loves technology, he played in a marching band, and he loves role-playing games.
Kennedy
A kangaroo who hails from Down Under. She's a mixed martial arts champion.Tropes associated with Kennedy:
- I Know Karate: Being a former MMA fighter, she definitely does.
Josie
Tropes associated with Josie:
- Hard-Drinking Party Girl: She gets drunk just as much as Rodger does!
- Lesbian Jock: Let's see...she's tomboyish, she prefers girls...she can pick a fight...yeah.
- Soul Brotha: More like soul sista.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Overlaps with One of the Boys.
Terri
Tropes associated with Terri:
- Bunnies for Cuteness: Come on, she's a bunny!
- Ears as Hair: She's got really big ears, almost like hair down to her waist.
- Expy: People will be quick to point out that she was inspired by Lola Bunny. And they'd be right. According to Word of God, Terri was inspired by two incarnations of Lola Bunny: the Action Girl from Space Jam, and the Cloudcuckoolander from The Looney Tunes Show.
- Hartman Hips: Rodger calls her "Angel Cakes" for that reason. Shaking the Rump also applies here.

- Canon Foreigner: She was created by Craig Black — as he was winding his Space Pirate Captain MacTaggart story, he and JW were discussing an alternative backstory, which ended up being one for a modified version of this character.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: She's pretty much an idiot bimbo, but push the wrong buttons, and she'll put a Glock Nine to your head.
- Metal Head: She inherits this trope from her late father who was the guitarist for a [1] band.
- Sassy Black Woman: For sure.
