Leadership

    A

A

The Fourth Raikage of Kumogakure.

  • Abled in the Adaptation: The events that led to the loss of his left arm in canon didn't happen here.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: He shows up during talks for the Hyuga affair, long before his canon counterpart is even mentioned.
  • Anger Born of Worry: He naturally gets pissed when he learns that his brother faked his death to take a vacation.
  • Frontline General: During the Fourth Ninja War, he leads the First Division personally into battle.

Kumogakure Ninja

    Team Killer B

Killer B

Adoptive brother of A, the jinchuriki of Gyuki, and the Jonin-sensei of Karui, Omoi and T.

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: He's present during the negotiations for the Hyuga Affair. In canon he didn't show up until after the Time Skip.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: A rather eccentric man with a penchant for talking in Gratuitous Rap (and a fan of Jiraiya's books), but he's not Gyuki's Jinchuriki for nothing.
  • Can't Stay Normal: He has Gyuki willingly resealed in him at the end of the story, one of only three (along with Yugito and Fu) who did so.
  • Eating the Eye Candy: During the negotiations for the Hyuga Affair, he takes advantage of his sunshades to glance at Tsunade's rack without anybody being the wiser.
  • Faking the Dead: Much like in canon, he tricks Akatsuki into thinking that they captured him so he can go on vacation. His students and brother are less than amused when they find out.

Karui

One of Killer B's students. A skilled swordswoman.

  • A-Cup Angst: When Choji complements her appearance, she's secretly delighted that he doesn't mention her chest.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Her first appearance is as a participant in the Chunin Exams. In canon, she wasn't introduced until shortly before Pain attacked Konoha.
  • Ambadassador: She's appointed as Kumo's ambassador in Konoha at some point during the Time Skip to the epilogue.
  • He Is Not My Boyfriend: She is quick to deny Choji being anything other than her Pen Pal when her teammates bring it up. Eventually, she suffers a Freudian Slip (by threatening to break up with him if his performance during the Fourth Ninja War isn't up to her standards) and just owns up to them being in a relationship.
  • Only One Name: Subverted. She mentions that she does have a surname, but Kumo ninjas don't use them unless it's absolutely necessary, since their loyalty is first and foremost to the village itself.
  • Pen Pals: She and Choji become friends after facing each other in the Chunin Exams and begin exchanging letters during the Time Skip.
  • Shock and Awe: Being a Kumo ninja, she naturally has Lightning Release.
  • Spanner in the Works: Her making it into the finals of the Chunin Exams (along with Gaara and Temari) meant that Orochimaru had to push back his invasion plans a few weeks or risk drawing the ire of three of the five Great Ninja Villages at once.
  • Spell Blade: She can channel lightning through her sword to increase its cutting power.

Omoi

One of Killer B's students. A skilled swordsman with a penchant of coming up with worst-case scenarios.

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Like Karui, his first appearance is as a participant in the Chunin Exams. In canon, he wasn't introduced until shortly before Pain attacked Konoha.

T

One of Killer B's students. The team's support and medic.

    Other Kumo Ninjas

Darui

One of Kumo's foremost Jonin, and the Raikage's right hand man.

Atsui

A Kumogakure Chunin, and Samui's younger brother.

Samui

A Kumogakure Jonin, and Atsui's older sister. She has comically large breasts.

Yugito Nii

A Kumogakure Jonin, and the jinchuriki of Matatabi, the Two Tailed Cat.

  • Back from the Dead: Naruto temporarily resurrects her into one of his Shadow Clones to aid in the final battle. Obito's sacrifice ends up making her resurrection permanent.
  • Can't Stay Normal: She has Matatabi willingly resealed in her at the end of the story, making her the only one of the five jinchuriki killed over the course of the series to do so.
  • Sacrificial Lion: Is captured by Akatsuki to show how much of a threat they are.
  • Taking the Bullet: She ends up defeated after jumping in front of a Tailed Beast Bomb from Yin-Kurama to protect her nearby allies.

Sayu Tokimune

A deceased Kumogakure Jonin from the Tokimune clan who is revived as part of Orochimaru's Edo Tensei army.

  • Apologetic Attacker: Like most Edo Tensei Zombies, she has nothing against the Ninja Alliance and tries to warn Team Gai to avoid her more dangerous attacks.
  • Light 'em Up: Her Tempest Release (a combination of Lightning and Water) is mostly based around weaponizing light in forms such as lasers.
  • Named After Somebody Famous: The Tokimune clan is named after a Japanese general and samurai named Hojo Tokimune from the 13th century, who is known for pushing Mongolian forces back during their invasion of Japan.
  • Original Character: Both she and her bloodline limit have no canon counterpart.
  • Shock and Awe: She has Lightning Release as part of her bloodline limit. While she doesn't directly use it for attack, she does turn her entire body into a flash-bang to stun Neji while his Byakugan is active.
