The Host

    Gamey
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gamey.png
Voiced by: Niall Burns
The host of Object Overload. He's based off the Gameboy if not the Gameboy Color. He's shown as careless at times and have a slightly short temper, but is a calm person overall. In the reboot, he has empty memory bags, so no one knows his past (not even himself).
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: In the original version of the show, Gamey just shows up from nowhere. In the reboot, however, he was found by Casey in the forest sitting next to a tree lifeless. Not only that, but when they turn him on, he doesn't have all his memory files since they were wiped on boot-up.
  • Affectionate Parody: of the Nintendo Game Boy (Color).
  • Badass Fingersnap: In "Branching Out," Gamey does one to teleport the contestants into the Creepy Forest, near the Great Tree.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Don't interrupt him. He'll slap you across the face.
  • Character Catchphrase: Tells the viewers "See you next time!" when wrapping up episodes. He doesn't say this in "Branching Out" or "In Deeper Waters", however.
  • Comedic Sociopathy: He doesn't care if Casey is ready or not or if Toothy doesn't want to see how Team Time is doing.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Gamey will shove his contestants and threaten to slap them. However, he can't injure them. Why? Because his contract states so.
  • Game Show Host: Hosts both the original series and the reboot.
  • Mechanical Lifeforms: A living handheld gaming system.
  • Mysterious Past: Since his memory files were deleted upon boot-up in "Rostrum Rampage," no one - not even he - knows about his origins.

The Contestants

    Boombox
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/boombox_3.png
Team: Tune (Leader)
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A stereo boombox who leads "Team Tune" with a positive and level-headed mindset.
  • Abled in the Adaptation: His 2018 redesign shows him with arms, whereas his previous design depicted him without them.
  • Informed Attribute: Niall originally wrote Boombox's personality on the Other Other Wiki as being a Cloudcuckoolander who may not look fit for leadership, but would do anything for his team. However, he hasn't acted very crazy.
  • The Leader: Of Team Tune.
  • Nice Guy: Normally nice to his teammates and often inspires them in challenges.
  • Smug Snake: He boasted to Toothy about how he knocked him off when he was in a stalemate with him and Clock in the first challenge.

    Boxing Glove
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/boxing_glove.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A boxing glove who is hated all because he is mistaken for a murderer. He was a member of Toothy's alliance in "Lost and Found," but the reboot showed no relation between them as of current.

    Candy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/candy.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A peppermint who cares about her peppermint markings (stripes) and loves to change their color. She normally hangs out with Globe, who she sometimes treats like dirt.
  • Berserk Button: Not noticing the changes to her appearance (mainly her stripes) makes her angry. She treats Globe like dirt for this reason.

    Casey
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/casey_89.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A ditzy DVD case (as of 2018, now a CD jewel case) who is really fun-loving, but also a little short-tempered.

    Cherry
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cherry_3.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Niall Burns (Both of them)
A pair of cherries attached to a stem. The bright red one, who has no arms, is kind-hearted, and the dark red one, who has no legs, is ruthless and mean. They often have personality clashes with each other and even hate each other to the point that they start arguing about it often.
  • Conjoined Twins: Like Cherries from Inanimate Insanity, Cherry is two people attached to a stem.
  • Multiple Head Case: Cherry is a pair of cherries attached to a stem (hence why they have the nickname of "the Cherries"), and they are certainly the polar opposites of each other.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The legless cherry's rude Red Oni to the armless cherry's nice and calm Blue Oni.
  • Right Way/Wrong Way Pair: The armless one is kind-hearted and friendly, and the legless one is mean and likes to give his armless sister(?) a hard time.
  • Silly Reason for War: Where to swim and where to guide Casey in the maze just seems harder for them.

    Clock
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/clock.png
Team: Time (Captain)
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A wall clock who leads "Team Time." He is really intelligent in both the normal and mechanical fields.
  • Anger Born of Worry: He gets angry when his team is put up for elimination, apparently to the point where he can become very harsh towards others.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: He owns a plane that he maybe built himself, he built the show's recovery center, and he also blew Toothy's podium up with a robot butterfly in "Rostrum Rampage."
  • The Leader: Of Team Time.
  • The Smart Guy: He is very intelligent.

    Coney
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/coney.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A traffic cone who is also one of Toothy's alliance-mates. She's optimistic but dumb.
  • The Ditz: To a lesser extent than other characters on the show, but still.

    Crayon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1586800766339.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A yellow crayon Valley Girl who is very bossy and stuck up. She's very lazy and often sends Melony to do the work for her.
  • Alpha Bitch: Her personality on the show. She's mean to everyone and bosses Melony around. As a result, everyone hates her and even tries to vote her off.
  • Berserk Button: She'll bring harm to those who disagree with her.
  • Bratty Teenage Daughter: We don't exactly know her age, but she is a rather rude Valley Girl who can be demanding towards others, especially Melony.
  • Everyone Has Standards: She is a Jerkass in her own right, but is just as much scared of Lighter as the rest of the contestants.
  • Phoneaholic Teenager: She's very attached to her phone, let us tell you.

    Disc
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/disc_3.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A carefree vinyl disc who tends to live out life in the easiest ways possible.

    Dusty
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dusty_2.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Adam Katz, Niall Burns
A cloud of dust who is very dumb. He idolizes Top Hat, his teacher in perfection, and looks up to him as a parent.
  • The Chew Toy: Not as much as Melony, but he's also pretty fragile.
  • The Ditz: Very dumb and easily pleased.

    Fly Swat
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fly_swat_6.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Samuel Thornbury
A fly swatter, one of the four latecomers in the original series, and one of Toothy's alliance-mates. He speaks in an Australian accent.
  • Unexplained Accent: As with any other character voiced by Sam, he dons an Australian accent.

    Globe
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/globe.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A plastic globenote  who is very reasonable with others, though he is shy. He is often seen with Candy.

    Kite
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kite_8.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A four-colored cloth kite. She's one of the nicest characters on the show, to the point where she is a Marysue character.
  • Nice Girl: She likes to help others, mainly Toaster.

    Lighter
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lighter.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A zippo lighter. He's considered the show's bully, constantly hurting others (Tissue especially).
  • Go Mad from the Isolation: Being the first out, the time between "Set and Stone" and "Branching Out" must have been long enough to cause this, as he built small dirt sculptures of Gamey, Clock, Melony, and Tissue while he was all alone on Prison Planet. When we see him with the sculptures in the brief shot of the planet in "Branching Out," he has a crazed and insane look on his face, as if he built the sculptures out of pure insanity.
  • Jerkass: All he ever did on his short stay on the show is hurt others. He also made Crayon cry, so there's that. Maybe him betraying Tissue back when they were friends had something to do with all this...

    Locky
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/locky.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A lock who is one of the four latecomers of the original series.
  • Adapted Out: One of the four characters not present in the reboot. Funnily enough, she's actually the only latecomer not present.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: She is very hyperactive.

    Marble
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/marble_9.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns
The show's mascot. A toothpaste marble who is pretty much energetic but also very competitive.

    Masky
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/masky.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A mask whose design resembles drama theatre masks from Ancient Greece. She is one of the timid characters on the show, but she is able to perform plays.

    Melony
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/melony_2.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Niall Burns
An unlucky watermelon slice who dies more often than other characters. She is one of the timid characters and is often pushed around by Crayon.
  • The Dog Bites Back: She voted for Crayon in the eliminations of "Branching Out" and "Lost and Found." The latter elimination was when Crayon was eliminated, however.
  • The Chew Toy: Combine her fragility and the fact that she's bullied by Crayon to do her bidding, and she's pretty much this.
  • They Killed Melony Again: She is fragile and will die if even a glass shard would pierce her flesh. The only episode where she never dies once was in "A Shocking Addition," whereas all other episodes had her die at least once. Thankfully, the Doorway of Life is around to recover her.

    Paper Airplane
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/paper_airplane.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A paper airplane who is also one of Toothy's alliance-mates. He's a massive daredevil.
  • Determinator: He's determined to win for his alliance and his team.
  • Not Quite Flight: Being a paper plane himself, he is able to glide/float.

    Pearly
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pearly.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A freshwater pearl. She's a very nice person who Marble has a crush on.
  • Adapted Out: One of the four characters not present in the reboot.
  • Nice Girl: One of the nicest characters on the show during the original series.
  • Love Interests: Is the love interest of Marble. Pearly is not aware of this.

    Picture
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/picture_09.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: N.A.
A silent picture frame. She's very shy to a point of not being able to speak loudly, if not at all.
  • Beware the Quiet Ones: Despite the fact she can't talk, she did a lethal kick at Lighter's groin in "Rostrum Rampage."
  • The Speechless: Has never spoken at all during the show. This leads to a problem when trying to direct Popcorn.

    Ping Pong Ball
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ping_pong_ball.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A joyful ping-pong ball. His best friend happens to be The Stoic Disc.
  • Adapted Out: One of the four characters not present in the reboot.

    Popcorn
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/popcorn_6.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A slightly timid piece of buttered popcorn. She actually has two best friends: Snow Globe and Casey.

    Pumpkin
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pumpkin_8.png
Team: N/A
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A carved pumpkin. Pumpkin tries constantly to prove that he is a horrifying being full of evil, but everyone never takes him seriously.
  • Butt-Monkey: Pumpkin tries to scare people, but people just find him hilarious due to his appearance.
    • He does scare Casey in the tribute video, but outside that, his attempts to prove himself to be threatening always seem to fail.
  • Running Gag: His only tactic of scaring people just seems to be hiding in the bushes and yelling "Boo!" to anyone who passes by.

    Snow Globe
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/snow_globe.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Taylor Grodin
A free-spirited and brave snow globe who lacks basic common sense.
  • Naturalized Name: His name in the original series was spelled as "Snowglobe." Many fans still happen to use the old spelling instead of the new one.

    Soccer Ball
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/soccer_ball.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A sporty soccer ball who likes to fantasize with himself. He also hangs out with Marble. He was also a coward in the original series.
  • Cowardly Lion: In the original series, he's afraid of Boxing Glove.

    Television
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/television.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A retro-style television who is one of the four latecomers of the original series. As revealed in "Lost and Found," he used to live with Tiki on the island below the waterfall and was known by the other tikis for running off. Even though he's a chill guy when calm, he's easily ticked off and easily scared.
  • Berserk Button: Seriously, don't call him TV. He REALLY hates that name.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: He's easily triggered, and he throws screaming tantrums when provoked.

    Tiki
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tiki_9.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns (Both of them)
A two-headed tiki (totem pole-like creature) who is one of the four latecomers of the original series.

    Tissue
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tissue.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A burnt tissue who is seldom seen unwadded. He has a big fear of Lighter, who used to be his friend.
  • Butt-Monkey: Earlier on.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: He was a friend of lighter back when he wasn't burned, but then he got betrayed by him. No wonder he doesn't want a friend.

    Toaster
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/toaster.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A pop-up toaster who is really silly and crazy. Blurting out something random and making weird faces is what people see him do normally.
  • Energy Weapon: He is able to shoot a giant beam out of his mouth in "Rostrum Rampage."
  • The Ditz: Where to even begin with this guy? He usually blurts something random and pulls of quite hilarious faces.
  • Projectile Toast: Kind of a running gag.

    Top Hat
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/top_hat.png
Team: Time
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A gibus top hat who speaks with a heavy English accent.

    Toothy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/toothy_5.png
Team: Tune
Voiced by: Niall Burns
A premolar tooth who is also a "Small Name, Big Ego" character. He thinks he is better than the rest of the competitors when in actuality he really isn't. He also leads an alliance, despite being the most annoying out of the four.
