French Exchange Students
Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug
One of the main protagonists of the story. Marinette is one of the exchange students of Norrisville High. She's also the superheroine known as Ladybug and the current wielder of the Ladybug Miraculous.
- Affectionate Nickname: Most of her friends in Norrisville, mostly Randy and Theresa, have started to call her Mari.
- Despair Event Horizon: Reaches this point when Heidi recorded and posted their whole conversation together that outed Marinette as a stalker. With many people laughing and creeped out by her, Marinette retreated to the abandoned bathroom were they had their conversation, wishing that she could undo and make everyone forget about everything that happened. This also nearly made her vulnerable to akumatization. Thankfully, Randy managed to cheer her up.
- Gamer Chick: Marinette is an avid gamer, best shown when she beat Max in Ultimate Mecha Strike III and has been able to play some of the games in Greg's Gamehole.
- Jerkass Ball: Marinette is usually a nice and helpful girl. But when Theresa's plan to help her confess her feelings to Adrien fails, she yells at the twirler while also insulting her love life by saying that whoever she confesses her love to will reject her on the spot. This led to Theresa to get akumatized and even when she confronts the girl as Ladybug, instead of helping the girl she again angrily yells at Theresa again that she should've just minded her own business which only worsened the situation. Once the akuma was taken care off, it took Alya to yell at Marinette to see the error of her ways.
- Kick the Dog: Marinette viciously yells at Theresa due to her plan to help her confess her feelings to Adrien failed. Marinette insults Theresa's love life by saying that whoever she confesses her love to will reject her on the spot and that she might as well not say anything as it will just backfired it. Theresa was already having a bad day with people rejecting her and to hear all that was just enough to break the poor girl.
- Nice Girl: Marinette is a very friendly and kind to her friends and classmates
- No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: The reason for Marinette revealing all of her personal info to Heidi? Because she thought she was helping someone who could be a friend. Unknown to the secret heroine, Heidi was secretly recording her so she can get some information to keep her blog from going irrelevant.
- Only I Can Kill Him: Justified. Given that she's the only one capable of purifying an Akuma or Amok.
- Red Is Heroic: Her Ladybug costume has a red and black theme, and she's quite the hero.
- Reset Button: Her Miraculous Ladybug ability allows her to instantly erase all the damage caused by an Akuma or Amok attack. This helps Norrisville High save a lot of their funds.
- The Power of Creation: She wields the Ladybug Miraculous of Creation and uses it's power to create items that will help her and her friends in taking down supervillains.
- Stalker with a Crush: Many of Marinette's attempts to get closer to Adrien in the past have reached this territory. Deconstructed later when she gets labeled as this when she unwittingly revealed all of her personal information to Heidi who was secretly recording their conversation. As a result, many people in Norrisville High have begun to avoid her.
Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir
Adrien Agreste is the son of Gabriel Agreste and one of the exchange students of Norrisville High. He is also the superhero Chat Noir and the current wielder of the Cat Miraculous.
- Nice Guy: Contrary to what most people think of rich kids, Adrien is a nice and well-meaning kid which surprises Randy, Howard, and Debbie thinking that he was a Spoiled Brat.
- Oblivious to Love: Adrien's oblivious to Marrinette's romantic feelings as well as the romantic gestures of other girls to the point that Randy, Howard, and Kagami are just stumped. It reaches a point were even after he saw the video of Heidi recording Marinette revealing her crush and feelings of him, he still rejected it, thinking that the video was forged somehow. It took Kagami yelling at him to come to his senses and tell the difference between the truth and "the truth that he was comfortable with".
Alya Cesaire/Rena Rouge
Alya Cesaire is the best friend of Marinette and is one of the exchange students of Norrisville High. She's the only one besides Tikki and the Kwamis who know Marinette's secret identity as Ladybug and the superherione known as Rena Rouge. That was until Heidi as Newsflash revealed her secret identity to the whole school after peeking inside Theresa's head, forcing Ladyblogger to renounce her Miraculous.
- Berserk Button: Alya may be a nice and friendly girl. But mess with her friends and then she will rip you to shreds. Especially if it's one of her own friends who created a huge mess. Not even Marinette is safe from this.
- Beware the Nice Ones: She's a friendly girl but mess with her friends and she'll make sure you pay.
- Pen Pals: With Theresa.
- Resigned in Disgrace: Alya is forced to give up the Fox Miraculous after Newsflash revealed her secret identity to the whole school. This left Alya with no choice other than to quit as Rena Rouge to prevent Shadow Moth from targeting her loved ones.
- This Is Unforgivable!: When Heidi revealed all of Marinette's personal information on her blog for everyone to see, Alya was disgusted for lack of a better word. Alya even downright yelled at the ginger girl that she will never forgive her for what she did.
- What the Hell, Hero?: When Alya found out that Marinette was responsible for Theresa's akumatization into Jeerleader by yelling and insulting her. Alya ripped her best friend a new one and even admonished the baker girl for trying to hide behind the mask of Ladybug.
Nino Lahiffe
Chloe Bourgeois
The daugther of Mayor Bourgeois and one of the exchange students of Norrisville High. After what she did as Miracle Queen, Chloe as well as her family aren't a lot popular throughout Paris. Though Adrien invites her to join regardless much to everyone's dismay.
Kagami Tsurugi
Kagami Tsurugi is the daughter of Tomoe Tsurugi, the niece of Hotaru and Joseph Cunningham, and the cousin of Randy Cunningham. She's one of the exchange students from Paris.
- Closet Geek:
- Joins Howard and Heidi watching a show clearly based on My Little Pony.
- In a talk with Randy about his Japanese, she reveals herself to be an avid fan of a Kamen Rider Expy, especially one based off Kamen Rider Fourze.
- Foil: To Randy. While Kagami is a stoic, no nonsense individual; Randy tends to be more laid-back,and carefree.
- Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: A cousin variation. She's the responsible cousin to Randy's foolish.
- Not So Above It All: Despite being more mature than Randy, even she snickered at the idea of the nipple gongs.
- Poor Communication Kills: Kagami told Theresa upon checking the girl's frame that she needs more strength if she wants to be worth something. Kagami actually meant well when she said that. Thinking that as a twirler, Theresa could improve further. However, the lack of tact and self-awareness further upsets the girl who unknown to Kagami is having a hard day. To her credit, when Kagami found out that Theresa is one of Randy's friends and remembered seeing the twirler crying when she last saw her, she goes to find and apologize to the twirler, thinking she was the cause of Theresa's sadness. Unfortunately, it was too late when she found Theresa akumatized into Jeerleader. When Kagami tried to apologize to her, Jeerleader angrily brushed it off and instead made Kagami do a thousand pushups and kiss the ground.Quite literally.
- Shipper on Deck: Kagami supports Randy and Theresa dating each other, believing they will cherish their love together.
Norrisville High
Randy Cunningham/Norrisville Ninja
Randy Cunningham is a student of Norrisville, the son of Hotaru and Joseph Cunningham, cousin to Kagami Tsurugi, and is the Norrisville Ninja.
- Adaptational Nationality: While it was never confirmed in canon what Randy's nationality is. Here he is shown to be of Japanese descent from his mother's side.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: In canon, Randy is still shown as a Nice Guy and is very rarely seen as a Jerk with a Heart of Gold. Here, while still goofy, he's shown to be more of a Nice Guy as he was grateful for Ladybug and Chat Noir for showing up and helping him out rather than be jealous of them for "stealing his thunder" like he was with Lucius O'Thunderpunch.
- The Empath: Sensing that Shadow Moth is becoming a great threat, the First Ninja bestowed Randy with this ability that allows him to sense a person's emotional state and prevent their akumatization. This comes in handy when he was able to prevent Marinette from being akumatized due to being distraught over Heidi leaking her personal information.
- I Know Madden Kombat: Tries learning Japanese by watching anime. It works surprisingly well, as he uses it as a reference for pronunciation based on the subtitles. Even Kagami is somewhat impressed at the idea.
- Secret Secret-Keeper: Becomes this for Marrinette when he found out that the latter is Ladybug by the end of chapter 6.
Howard Weinerman
Howard is Randy's best, the younger brother of Heidi, and a student of Norrisville High. He's the only one who knows Randy is the Ninja.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: Howard is a lot more nicer and more willing to help Randy when he's in a pinch compared to his canon counterpart's It's All About Me attitude.
- Badass Normal: With Ninja's help, he was able to fight against his akumatized sister, Newsflash, for a brief period of time.
- Casual Danger Dialogue: Casually makes bets with Chloe over who will do something stupid in the battle against Judge.
- Shipper on Deck: He supports Randy's relationship with Theresa.
Theresa Fowler
Theresa Fowler is a student of Norrisville High and a member of the school's Twirl team. She's also penpals with Alya and by chapter 11 became Randy's girlfriend.
- Anti-Villain: Compared to your average Akumatized victim, she's not that evil as Jeerleader. She only wants people to listen to her, and expresses concern whenever they start to actually hurt themselves. Of course, once Ladybug pushes her past her Rage Breaking Point, she drops all reservations about hurting others.
- Ascended Extra: Gets more focus as Marinette's first friend in Norrisville, and a much closer friend (and eventually girlfriend) of Randy's.
- Broken Pedestal: Theresa used to view Ladybug as a cool superheroine. Though when she was akumatized into Jeerleader and Ladybug yelled at her that it was best if she just minded her own business, she didn't take it well and nearly roasted her alive. Thankfully, Randy showed up in time and managed to calm her down enough to get purified. When Ladybug apologizes for what she said, Theresa admits that she was too crazy to think clearly so she wasn't right either. So they're cool now.
- Berserk Button: Downplayed. But Theresa gets annoyed when people keep mistaking her for a cheerleader when in actuality, she's a baton twirler.
- Nice Girl: She's a nice, friendly girl who will do whatever it takes to help her friends.
- Playing with Fire: As Jeerleader, in addition to her hypnotic powers, she can conjure flames with her staff. The angrier she is, the more powerful they will get. They even reached a point were the heat of the flames affects both Ladybug and Chat Noir despite their indestructible suits.
- Taking the Bullet: Theresa pushes Adrien out of the way when Newsflash fires a flash that caused her face to open and reveal her secrets. Good news is that Adrien was saved and managed to get to safety. Bad news? Newsflash finds out that Alya is Rena Rouge in one of Theresa's memories much to the twirler's distraught.
- Relationship Upgrade:She and Randy become a couple by the end of chapter 11.
- Secret Secret-Keeper: Theresa becomes this for Alya when she found out that the latter is Rena Rouge during her fight with her as Jeerleader. Subverted when Heidi as Newsflash finds out about this from her head and reveals it to the whole school.
Debbie Kang
Debbie Kang is a student and reporter of Norrisville High. She's also the best friend of Theresa Fowler. As of chapter 17, she now owns Heidi's blog after the older girl got kicked out for revealing Marinette's personal information.
- Adaptational Name Change: Chapter 18 reveals her first name as Deborah.
- Adaptational Nice Girl: Debbie is shown to be a lot nicer compared to her snarky canon counterpart.
Heidi Weinerman
Heidi Weinerman is Howard's self-absorbed, attention seeking older sister and the host of her blog, Heidi@School. In fear of her blog becoming irrelevant, Heidi decided to secretly record Marinette in an interview and expose her personal information. An act which disgusted Alya and her friends so much that they cut ties with her and the school blog she tried so hard to keep relevant is now out of her hands.
- All for Nothing: Heidi's main goal was to get more views in order to keep her blog from going irrelevant. She secretly recorded Marinette during an interview were the French girl revealed her feelings of Adrien as well as all the questionable attempts she made to get closer to him. Heidi posted the video which while at first resulted in gaining more views, it resulted in her friends becoming disgusted and outraged by her actions, her more moral viewers unsubscribing from her blog. The stress from getting rejected caused her to fall victim to Shadow Moth's akumas and became the supervillain, Newsflash and began revealing people's secrets. She even revealed Alya's secret identity as Rena Rouge after peeking inside Theresa's head. After she was deakumatized, she lost all the respect of her friends and the blog she was trying to keep from going irrelevant is now out of her hands.
Rachel Ester
Rachel is a student of Norrisville High and is the clarinet player of the school's marching band. She runs the Ninja Dojo blog.
- Ascended Extra
- Badass Adorable: When she uses the Miraculous of the Pig to become the superhero:Hog Wild.
- Beware the Nice Ones: She's the most cheerful girl in Norrisville High you can come across. With the Pig Miraculous, she won't hesitate to take you down when you pick on the innocent.
- Foil: To Cecil. Both have pig themes; with Cecil coming from a Hog themed band and his mind controlled jury wearing warthog masks while Rachel is the pig themed superhero named Hog Wild. Cecil is rude, cruel and is against to idea of being nice and "soft" while Rachel is nice, friendly, cheerful and against the idea of treating people with disrespect. Cecil is a junior while Rachel is a sophomore, and while Cecil treats Levander poorly, Rachel genuinely helps Levander as a friend.
- Nice Girl: Rachel is a kind, cheerful, and helpful girl as shown she helped Levander with his guitar playing skills.
- Older Than They Look: Despite being a sophomore now, Rachel is still way shorter than her peers. Marinette even asked her if she is a freshman.
- Pet the Dog: Rachel helps Levander how to better play the guitar and helps him better improve again after signing up to be his tutor in detention.
- Rubber Man: Rubber girl in this case, in addition to her superpower being The Heart; she has the ability to stretch her limbs.
- Took a Level in Badass: After receiving the Pig Miraculous, Rachel transforms into Hog Wild and was able to fight alongside the heroes during their battle against Judge.

Levander Hart
Levander Hart is a student of Norrisville High who aspires to be a musician but has horrible playing skills.
- Everyone Has Standards: Levander was okay with Cecil's idea of teaching people lessons, but he draws the line with actually hurting them.
- Grew a Spine: What he receives after breaking free from Judge's mind control.
- The Dog Bites Back: After having enough of Cecil's crap and being mind controlled by him. Levander didn't want anything to do with him anymore and confesses to his crimes.
Cecil Hopkins
Cecil is a punk Junior of Norrisville High who is a part of a duo band alongside Levander Hart. He's a Jerkass Knight Templar who believes that those who comitted wrong deeds must be punished, no matter how harsh they are.
- Animal Motifs: Warthogs. He comes from a hog-themed band and the people he mind controls into becoming his jury wear warthog masks.
- Asshole Victim: For his crimes, Cecil is not only suspended from Norrisville High but Slimovitz has him sent to Juvie. Given how much of a jackass he is and the weight of his atrocities; it's safe to say nobody from NHS is going to miss him.
- Bad Boss: He doesn't respect Levander's ideas and as Judge he belittles his jury.
- Bully and Wimp Pairing: The bully to Levander's wimp.
- Defiant to the End: Even after being purified, Cecil refuses to accept defeat and grabs one of the Ninja's discarded swords to attack Nino. Thankfully, he was stopped by Levander.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Cecil's reason for ruining Nino's reputation and want to kill him? Because he rejected his music by saying its not what they're looking for.
- Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas: It's implied Cecil loves his mom at least.
- Hate Sink: Cecil continues to become more and more deplorable as chapter 22 goes on. He forces his targets into painful transformations, relishes in the pain he causes the heroes, and to those around him, and shows no remorse for any of his actions even after he was purified. It was seriously satisfying to see Slimovitz sending him off to Juvie.
- Hypocrite: Derides others for accepting the word of their friends without any a additional, yet blindly trusts a random stranger he met online when they reveal wrongdoings of people he doesn't like, and expects that to be enough for anyone he talks to believe him.
- Best showcased when he tries to "warn" Adrien about Nino by "revealing" some (blatantly false) accounts of his past misdeeds, and gets personally offended when the guy wants to talk to his friend first and sort things out rather than blindly trust Cecil, who he just met.
- Jerkass: Even without being a Knight Templar, Cecil is a huge jerk. This was best shown when he attempted to strangle Nino after the DJ/Band judge rejected his band and the type of message his music was giving off. When that failed, he then attempted to spread misinformation about Nino to Adrien so that the blonde boy would break his friendship with Nino. Fortunately, Adrien didn't buy any of it.
- Jerkass Has a Point: Cecil may be a huge jerk but he isn't wrong when he said that Randy and Howard only let Levander join their band just to gain access to his equipment.
- It's also deconstructed since while he was on the mark about that particular point, he ignores how the two sincerely apologised to Levander and genuinely consider him a friend, which he convinces Levander to refuse to consider as well.
- Judge, Jury, and Executioner: What he intends to become after he fuses with his Amok and absorbs his mind controlled jury.
- Knight Templar: Cecil has a firm belief that the world is harsh and that you have to be mean in order to be strong and fight it. When Marinette's stalker actions came to light, he made it his mission to force Marinette to leave Norrisville by planting all sorts of devious pranks; such as planting a box of spiders in her locker to vandalizing her kiosk, seeing that someone like her needs to be punished for what she did. This quality is even worsened once he gets Akumatized, as he doesn't care who gets killed in the process so long as his "justice" is shown.
- Lackof Empathy: Cecil shows no remorse for any of the atrocities he committed.
- Painful Transformation: What he inflicts on others after hitting them on the head with his book. The process is very painful as the victims scream in agony as a warthog mask forms around their head, their pupils disappear, and their skin colour changes; becoming an extension of his will.
- Pet the Dog: Cecil basically let Levander join his band after Randy and Howard seemingly ditched him. However, it's questionable whether he did it out of genuine kindness or he's just using Levander for his own purposes.
- Sadist: Cecil relishes in the pain he causes the heroes as Judge, laughing in amusement.
- The Social Darwinist: According to
Word of God, Cecil is someone who believes that the world is mean and cruel, so he has to be mean and cruel himself; and that those who aren't mean are just too weak and are basically "softies". - Villainous Breakdown: Cecil shrieks in disbelief once all the people he mind controlled as his Jury began to break from their mind control due to Hog Wild's Spring Heart power.
Principal Irving Slimovitz
Coach Green
Coach Green is the questionably sane coach of P.E. in Norrisville High, who puts his students through insane, life threatening exercises in the name of education.
- Adults Are Useless: Less useless in the sense of inaction, and more in the sense of "actively endangering his students lives". When Chloe suffers an allergic reaction from the cacti maze he forced the students to run through, he just tells the others to deal with it.
- Dissonant Serenity: Twisting himself into a pretzel by Jeerleader's words is incredibly painful and nauseating to look at. He speaks about his predicament with the urgency of someone who lost his keys, and even explains what happened to Alya while in this state.
- Sadist Teacher: He's well known in Norrisville High for the life-threatening exercises he makes his students go through. One chapter, in fact, is dedicated to him tossing the students into a giant cacti maze full of pitfalls, sharp objects, and a pool full of electric eels. And the last one was added as a punishment for some students.
Villains
Gabriel Agreste/Shadow Moth
Gabriel Agreste is the father of Adrien Agreste and unknown to everyone (besides Nathalie) is the Parisian supervillain known as Shadow Moth. His main goal is to obtain the Miraculous of the Ladybug and Cat in order to obtain his wish. Although, upon arriving in Norrisville and forming a business partnership with McFist, he now seeks the power of the Chaos Pearls.
- Adaptational Villainy: While Gabriel is just as evil as he is in canon. Here, he is even willing to stoop to petty levels, such as trying to use his powers to akumatize Marinette and force her to attack everyone, including her friends, just so he can find an excuse to send her back to Paris.
- Evil Is Petty:
- Shadow Moth is shown to be very petty towards people who ruin his evil schemes, especially towards civilians. When Randy managed to calm Jeerleader enough for her to get purified; Shadow Moth declares vengeance on the purple-haired teen.
- This was shown best in chapter 17 when he planned on akumatizing Marinette, when the girl was in a state of utter despair and make her attack everyone, including her friends so he can ruin her life. This was also so he can teach Adrien a "lesson" that he can only trust others with actual gumption. When Shadow Moth found out that Randy was trying to cheer Marinette up(and therefore, remove the darkness for him to corrupt Marinette) he decides to make Marinette attack Randy when he akumatizes her, thinking it is about time the boy gets his "punishment".
- Revenge Before Reason: When Newsflash picks a fight with Howard and the Ninja, Shadow Moth at first orders the Akumatized supervillain to focus on the task at hand. But upon hearing that Howard is associated with Randy, he immediately changes his mind and orders her to destroy Howard due to Randy ruining his schemes.
- The Comically Serious: Gabriel is this around McFist.
- Pet the Dog: One of the rare good things Gabriel did in this fic is he allowed some of Adrien's friends to come along with his son to Norrisville, knowing that his son won't be able to focus due to being away from everyone he knows. (Even if he only allowed Adrien to bring only five friends and that too in such a limited time.)
- Unknown Rival: He is this to Randy. While Randy is aware of Shadow Moth's existence and the threat that he poses, what he doesn't know is that ruining his "finest hour" with Jeerleader as Randy Cunningham has put him on Shadow Moth's grudge list and even more mad when he foiled his attempt to akumatize Marinette. An act that made the Parisian villain unsheathe his cane sword out in anger.Shadow Moth:(Furious)If I didn't bound myself to being hidden in this sactum, I take care of that brat myself...!
Nathalie Sancoeur

Willem Viceroy III
Willem Viceroy III is Hannibal McFist's right-hand man and the lead scientist for manufacturing McFist products. He's also the Mad Scientist responsible for creating all the robots that attack Norrisville to destroy the Ninja.
- Deadpan Snarker: Viceroy's usual attitude is this around McFist.
- Mad Scientist: Viceroy has this in spades.
- The Dragon: He is Hannibal McFist's right-hand man who builds robots to destroy the Ninja and helps McFist to keep track of his schedule.
Norrisville
Arthur Camson
Arthur Camson is an entomologist who lives in one of the McMotels of Norrisville. He gets Akumatized into the supervillain, King Arthurpod, after his Jerkass neighbour, Mrs Burch, calls Gene Levine and have him get rid of all his life's work.
- Despair Event Horizon: He reaches this when his neighbour, Mrs. Burch, calls Gene to exterminate almost all his life's work and research. Leaving him vulnerable enough to be Akumatized by Shadow Moth.
- Nice Guy: He may come across as an eccentric man due to his interest in insects. But he's nice and friendly man to be around with.
- Original Character: He's the first original character created by the author.
- Pest Controller: As King Arthurpod, he has the ability to control and command all types of insects as well as evolving them into a much larger and more humanoid species.
Paris
Lila Rossi
Lila is an Italian student studying at the same school as Marinette and Adrien. She's a Manipulative Bitch who gains the trust of those around her through her lies.
- Co-Dragons: Ever since Ladybug humiliated her when she revealed that she was lying to Adrien, she has become this Shadow Moth alongside Nathalie.
- Evil Is Petty: Lila gives Cecil a bad false story about Nino so that the Junior can ruin the DJ's friendship with Adrien, even though Nino didn't do anything to her.
- Jerkass: She's a Manipulative Bitch who shows a Lack of Empathy for manipulating the people around her with her lies and shows no remorse when her lies and actions hurt the people around her. Lila also doesn't care about the people she lies to, as she's shown to keep notebooks that she marked as "Bustier's Buffoons" and "Mendeleiev's Morons". After Marinette's stalker actions have been exposed, she starts posting false rumours on the internet about Marinette committing horrible actions to slander the poor girl and force her to leave Norrisville.
