Aura of Crimson Witches

    Amour
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sniper
Height and Weight: 151cm / 38kg
Blood Type: AB
Birthday: 7/7
Lament: Étoile (JP by Haruka Shimotsuki; EN by Meg and Dia)
Voiced by: Ai Kakuma (JP); Sarah Miller (EN)

A shy daughter of nobles from the Duchy of Fran who loves dreaming, Amour has been deeply in love with the Successor ever since he rescued her from an abusive suitor. Though her love makes her act in unsettling ways, she admires other witches who fight to protect those dear to them, referring them as "knights".

With The Power of Love, Amour will protect the subject of her obsessions. Her fixation on the ones she loves turns into her 1st active "Obsessive Rampage" towards potential rivals which deals up to 3 physical attacks equal to up to 350% of her ATK to the enemy with the lowest remaining HP percentage, adding 1 more equal to up to 350% of her ATK to the remaining 4 if the enemy is defeated this way. Through her 2nd active "Embrace of Thorns", once Amour's thorns embrace someone, their reluctance to free them leaves barbs lodged in the victims' scars deals 1 physical attack equal to up to 510% of her ATK to up to 4 random enemies and inflicts [Blight] for 3 turns. Additionally at level 3, the damage Amour takes decreases by 50% and her Counter is increased by 100% for 2 turns after attacking.

Through Amour's love for fairytales, her determination to reach her own 'Happily Ever After' takes on the form of her 1st passive "My Fairy Tale" which revives her and restores HP equal to 30% of her max HP when she's defeated while also dealing 1 direct attack up to up to 15% of the total damage taken by her over the past 20 turns to those who attempt to 'defile her story', namely the enemy directly in front of her and (at max. level) 1 enemy adjacent to them. And via her 2nd passive "Love's Premonition", Amour's instinct that something wonderful will happen to her today increases her max HP by up to 50%.

And when Amour summons her Unique Weapon "Thorns of Love", "Obsessive Rampage" also deals 3 more physical attacks equal to 260% of Amour's ATK to the enemy with the lowest remaining HP percentage (which ends when they're defeated) if they survived the skill's first attack while "Embrace of Thorns" now multiplies its physical damage by 2 if Amour's remaining HP percentage is below 30% and increases her Counter by 120%.

On 30 November 2023, Amour received her [Holy Night's Gift] variant for the Christmas holidays. For more information, see here.

  • Fairytale Motifs: While Amour loves fairytales, her powers are based on Sleeping Beauty; she can control thorny vines and her first usage put her to sleep and gave her a Prophetic Dream of the Successor and Illya coming to rescue her.
  • The Hedge of Thorns: Amour uses her thorny briars to attack, and it's also her Unique Weapon.
  • Meaningful Name: As a girl whose love borders on obsession, is it no surprise that her name is derived from the French word for "love" itself?
  • The Power of Love: This is what fuels Amour's power, though it leans more towards obsession that the standard fare.
  • Prophetic Dream: Amour's first awakening of her powers put her to sleep where she had a dream that a man with a staff and a girl with a sword came to rescue her. True to form, the Successor and Illya arrive to do just that.
  • Psycho Pink: Amour is one of the few Witches associated with the colour pink... but she's also one of the biggest examples of Yanderes in the game.
  • Rescue Romance: Amour was rescued by the Successor and Illya from an abusive lord who also abused his "harem" (for lack of a better word). Believing him to be like a fairytale prince she instantly fell in love with him, so she doesn't mind being unable to return home since being a witch in the time of the Witch Hunts also meant that she'll be subject to Parental Abandonment anyway.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: Subverted - Amour has pink hair but her personality is more of a Psycho Pink.
  • Yandere: After her rescue she falls for the Successor hard via Rescue Romance, and is constantly trying to get him all to herself, much to his horror. Unlike most Yanderes though, she doesn't mind being with other witches and actually admires them, calling them "knights".

    Arianrhod
Rarity: R -> SSR+
Type: Warrior
Height and Weight: 157cm / 47kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: 12/2
Lament: Monochrome (JP by ChouCho; EN)
Voiced by: Yūki Takada (JP); Deneen Melody (EN)

An earnest and hardworking squire with a strong sense of pride and intolerance for corruption. While Arianrhod pursues her ideals with the firm belief that knights are the embodiment of justice, this same rigidness often makes her socially awkward.

Arianrhod's ambition to be the greatest knight is what fuels her power as a witch. Her 1st active "Hammer of Justice" translates Arianrhod's belief that knights are the embodiment off justice to up to 3 physical attacks equal to 320% of her ATK to random enemies and because of her strong sense of justice, if a target has a debuff, the damage taken is multiplied by 1.5 (2 at max. level). Her 2nd active "Dauntless Courage" has Arianrhod unflinchingly face off against strong enemies with the spirit of a knight by dealing 1 physical attack equal to up to 320% of her ATK to up to 3 random enemies and if any of them have a higher ATK than hers it gets decreased by 40% and the target will be inflicted with [Blight] for 2 turns.

Lastly, Arianrhod's "Silver Aspiration" that is her passive has her feelings from the time she first aspired to be a knight fill her with power by increasing her chance to inflict a debuff by up to 30%.

  • Commonality Connection: Arianrhod gets along very well with Fortina according to Florence's SSR+ voice line, much to the latter's pleasure as there were no other girls their age in their old home. This may possibly due to the both of them admiring Florence herself, though Florence plans to introduce Luke, Ophelia and Iris to their group as the 5 of them have a strong sense of justice, with 4 of them being knights.
  • For Great Justice: Arianrhod has a very strong sense of justice, which is why she chose to become a knight. However, in her Character Memories she nearly lost her faith as her commander was exposed for corruption yet got away scot-free and she herself was punished and framed for theft when she tried to petition for a harsher punishment for his corruption, with her comrades (including the new recruit she supported) and the commander sneering and insulting her. Fortunately, after meeting the Successor she regained her strong sense of justice and uses it to fight for him.
  • Hero Worship: Of Florence from the latter's days as the Grandmaster of the Knights of Longinus, though the latter is just embarrassed because she was brainwashed into taking on that role.
  • No Social Skills: Arianrhod's rigidness towards becoming the ideal knight made her this.

    Artie
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sorcerer
Height and Weight: 136cm / 33kg
Blood Type: AB
Birthday: 11/8
Lament: Never Ends (JP by EMA; EN)
Voiced by: Konomi Kohara (JP); Nola Dodd (EN)

A shy and socially awkward blacksmith who can create weapons augmented by magic. Believing that strong weapons can be used to protect the weak, she once made a powerful sword to do just that... and came to regret it when she found out it was used for destruction instead.

Artie uses her expertise in forging weapons and the power used to augment them to protect the ones she cares about. By yelling "It's do-or-die. Fight back!", Artie's first active "It's Do or Die!" has her desire to protect lives decrease the MDEF of 5 random enemies by 20% and increases the DMG taken by them by 10% for up to 4 turns before summoning swords that have brought miracles to the battlefield in the past via her magic circle and rains them down on her enemies to deal 1 magical attack equal to 350% of her ATK to them. Her second active "Sword of Calamity" has Artie use her magic to recreate the evil sword she forged long ago to deal up to 7 magical attacks equal to 170% of her ATK to random enemies (being a Critical Hit if a target has a debuff and restoring Artie's HP by 20% of the total DMG at higher levels), and with the desire to bring an end to wars distorting one's ray of hope multiply said attack by up to 2 if their remaining HP percentage is lower than that of Artie's.

With Richesse by her side to pick herself back up when her heart is on the verge of shattering, Artie's first passive "Her Partner's Presence" increases her HP and decreases the damage taken by her by up to 30%. And as the "Evil Sword's Creator", Artie's second passive of that name turns said sword's destructive power into one that protects her by granting a buff that increases her chance to resist critical hits by 10% up to 8 times (10 times max) and if she's attacked and takes damage exceeding 5% of her max HP, the stack count depletes by 1 and the exceeding amount is cut by up to 70%. Uniquely, it also synchronizes with "It's Do-or-Die!" in which if the passive is active, this active will grant her a buff that increases her chance to resist critical hits by 10% twice (thrice for 10 times max if she isn't).

Once Artie's equipped with her Unique Weapon "Vulcan's Magic Circle", the amount of "It's Do-or-Die"'s targets' MDEF is decreased by becomes 40% and their damage taken to 20%, "Evil Sword Creator" cuts damage that exceeds 5% of her max HP by 90% and "Sword of Calamity"'s magical attacks' damage is increased to 200% of her ATK.

  • The Blacksmith: Artie's occupation. her specialty is making weapons that protect their wielders and keep them alive.
  • Cast from Lifespan: The power Artie uses to augment her weapons are heavily implied to come from her lifeforce; the stronger the weapon the more lifeforce needed.
  • Geometric Magic: Artie's magic specialty as described in her first active skill. A version of it also serves as her Unique Weapon.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Artie tried to create a weapon for her country's military that not only could protect them but also help to defeat the witch squadron that was previously unbeatable. It did its job a little too well and sent Artie into a Heroic BSoD. In the present day, it has become an evil sword too powerful to exist, attacking anyone who tried to approach it with rage.
  • Heroic BSoD: Artie quit her profession as a blacksmith when she realized what her weapon did. Fortunately, Richesse managed to get her out of it by showing that Artie's weapons prior to that fateful day really did save others and there were people grateful for it, and pledged to serve as her personal merchant.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Artie usually makes weapons that can protect their wielders from harm. So when her country's military had trouble with a witch squadron, she decided to augment her weapons with more power than usual in order to break their otherwise impenetrable shields. Unfortunately, part of the power that she poured into one such weapon was the power to destroy the enemy of its wielder... which had Gone Horribly Right by decimating the witch squadron, with a little girl among their number.
  • No Social Skills: Artie notably is bad at socializing with others, instead preferring to craft weapons on her own. So far the only people she opened up to in the present day are her business partner Richesse and the Successor.
  • Older Than She Looks: Artie's SSR+ line reveals that despite her height, she's about the same age as Hathor and Lunalynn, so she's a bit uncomfortable when others give her headpats while thinking she's between Soltina, Illya and Belle in age. Despite this, the game never reveals the ages of the girls in their profiles.
  • Pointy Ears: Artie has them, and with her height she resembles a dwarf who are traditionally associated with blacksmithing in fantasy settings.

    Belle
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sorcerer
Height and Weight: 154cm / 40kg
Blood Type: B
Birthday: 10/15
Lament: Rage (JP by 96Neko; EN by Aloma Steele)
Voiced by: Yuu Asakawa (JP); Ciara Mashea (EN)

A tomboy with a rough speech, Belle sees life for what it is having experienced the highs and lows of society. She used to be taken in and raised by Valeriede when she was an orphan and therefore looks up to her like her own mother.

Belle's fury is what makes her all the more stronger. Her 1st active "Explosive End" burns all the strong, bad foes to the ground with her intense flames by dealing 4 magical attacks equal to up to 420% of her ATK to the enemy with the highest ATK. At Level 2 it also dispels 1 buff from them if their HP is below 50% or inflicts [Bleed] on the target for 2 turns if their HP is above 50%, dealing damage equal to 10% of Belle's ATK at the start of each turn. Unleashing a raging fire similar to a roaring dragon, Belle's 2nd active "Fire Dragon's Wrath" incinerates the enemy by dealing up to 6 unavoidable magical attacks equal to 280% of her ATK to the enemy with the lowest remaining HP percentage, increasing by 1 each time it defeats an enemy and if it defeats 2 enemies, adds another 2 additional magical attacks.

With the "Fighting Words" that is Belle's 1st passive, Belle's determination to protect everyone strengthens her basic attack and if it's a Critical Hit when dealt, increases her ATK by up to 10% for up to 5 turns and can be stacked for up to 5 times. Meanwhile, Belle's 2nd passive "Vengeful Blaze" has her flames burn even hotter the closer she is to death, in which the max damage taken will not exceed 20% of her max. HP if her remaining HP percentage is less than 50% post-upgrade. She also gains a [Shield] equal to 100% of the damage that exceeds 20% of her max. HP for 2 turns if the attack leaves her HP below 50% after upgrading.

Upon being gifted with Belle's Unique Weapon "Staff of Fervent Salvation", "Explosive End"'s magical attacks increases to 5, [Bleed] takes 4 turns instead of 2 and before attacking increases her CRIT RES by 50% by 2 turns.

  • Attack! Attack! Attack!: Belle's 2nd skill "Fire Dragon's Wrath" is this. It's also guaranteed to hit.
  • Curtains Match the Window
  • "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: Her Character Memories and certain lines reveal that she joined forces with the successor to save Valeriede from her Curse of Flames; her "Miss Val" was the one who took her in and she damn well wants to return the favour.
  • Magic Staff: Belle wields a large one that disperses large flames. Also known as the Staff of Fervent Salvation, this staff is also her Unique Weapon.
  • Parental Abandonment: Belle was discarded by her parents at a young age, and lived on the streets for a while before Valeriede took her into her orphanage.
  • Playing with Fire: Just like Valeriede.
  • Promoted to Playable: After spending some time as an enemy-exclusive Character, she became playable on 1 November 2022.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: Subverted. She has pink hair but she's a rough 'n tough tomboy. Mostly.
  • Stripperiffic: Belle wears nothing but ribbons, which takes "giving yourself as a present" to another level; to the point where there have been jokes about her outfit being the reason why she wasn't available at launch. This gets lampshaded by Moddey in her summer outfit.
  • When She Smiles: Belle gives a rare smile after rescuing Valeriede from her curse.

    Charlotte
Rarity: N
Type: Warrior
Height and Weight: 149cm / 40kg
Blood Type: AB
Birthday: 2/5
Lament: Clockwise (JP by Ayaka Matsuda; EN)
Voiced by: Ayaka Nanase (JP); Sarah Henzler (EN)

A smiley girl whose Catchphrase is "Maximum Smileage!". To preserve her mental stability during the Witch Hunts she created a second personality. However, she's fully aware that this "other self" doesn't truly exist and she's just acting as two characters.

When the going gets tough, Charlotte unleashes her more vicious "other self" at her enemies. Her first skill "The Shadow Within" allows this other self to let loose by dealing 1 physical attack equivalent to 130% of her ATK to a random enemy and makes them lose the will to fight by decreasing their ATK by 20% for 2 turns. The madness of her other self also manifests in her 2nd skill "Her Crazy Laughter" by dealing 3 physical attacks equivalent to 120% of her ATK to random enemies.

  • Catchphrase: "Maximum Smileage!" She says this in order to suppress her other, more violent personality.
  • Expy: A massive Sweet Tooth and Badass Adorable girl with pig ears and tail and personality issues? Is she the 4th member of the Three Little Pigs?
  • Little Bit Beastly: Pigs ears and a tail on her.
  • Meaningful Name: As the witch with the biggest Sweet Tooth among the cast, it's only fitting that she's named after a dessert.
  • Split Personality: To cope with the Witch Hunts, Charlotte created one that would shoulder her true feelings about being persecuted by the Witch Hunts. To prevent said personality from coming out, she gorges on sweets and keeps smiling. In a twist, Charlotte knows that this other personality isn't real, and joins the Successor because he figured it out and asked her to join him regardless.

    Chiffon
Rarity: SR > LR
Type: Sorcerer
Height and Weight: 137cm / 30kg
Blood Type: O
Birthday: 4/8
Lament: Lost (JP by Sumire Morohoshi, EN)
Voiced by: Sumire Morohoshi (JP); Jessica Rau (EN)

A girl who sometimes echoes herself when she speaks, Chiffon is loyal to a fault to her old master and kept waiting for him in the ancient ruins despite him abandoning her. Now having developed a fear of being abandoned, Chiffon sticks closely to the Successor's side after being taken in by him.

Now loyal to you and her newfound friends, Chiffon will make sure to protect you from harm while hindering your enemies. Chanting "Bow-Wow-WOW!", Chiffon's 1st active of that name increases all allies' DEF by 50% and ATK by 10% for 4 turns while also granting a [Shield] equal to 100% of her ATK for 2 turns. Her 2nd active, "Spirit's Aegis", is actually not what Chiffon intended, so it grants a effect to 5 random targets. If an ally is targeted, their HP is restored by up to 100% of her ATK and increases their Critical Hit damage by 15% for up to 2 turns. If an enemy is target, 1 magical attack equal to up to 300% of Chiffon's ATK is dealt to them which also decreases their CRIT RES by 30% and inflicting [Sleep] on them for 1 turn, which is dispelled when attacked and ignores [Taunt] and [Stealth].

Experiencing the true happiness that she has never felt before in the form of warmth that cradles her wounded heart, Chiffon's 1st passive "Happiness" increases her max. HP and DEF by up to 30% each and from level 2 onwards grants the ally with the highest ATK other than herself [Shield] equal to 150% of her ATK for a turn. Meanwhile, Chiffon's perseverance becomes a power that protects her via her 2nd passive "I'll Hang On, I Will", in which for the 1st 10 turns, if she's attacked and takes damage that exceeds 10% of her max HP, the damage is cut by up to 40% (while also taking into account other damage reduction calculations) and the potency of the damage cut is decreased by up to 4% at the start of each turn.

Upon giving Chiffon the "Staff of Ancient Wisdom" that is her Unique Weapon, "Bow-Wow-WOW!" now increases all targets' ATK by 20% and DEF by 70%, "Spirit's Aegis" increases the target's critical hit damage to 30% and the size of the [Shield] from "Happiness" is increased to 200% of her ATK.

  • Children as Pawns: After being abandoned by her parents, her old master raised her to do all sorts of grueling menial work, on top of dangerous tasks like being the first to scout dangerous ruins and driving away monsters. She doesn't even question any of this under his employ because she was grateful for being taken in... until he orders her to stay at some ruins, not even properly saying she's being laid off.
  • Little Bit Beastly: Chiffon has dog ears, not unlike fellow Witches Moddey, Fenrir and Cerberus.
  • Magic Staff: Chiffon's Unique Weapon, known as the Staff of Ancient Wisdom.
  • Parental Abandonment: Chiffon's parents abandoned her as a baby because she's a witch, leading to her being taken in by her previous master. He was not any better and even did the same in the end.
  • Random Effect Spell: Chiffon's 2nd active "Spirit's Aegis" is this. Lore-wise, Chiffon didn't mean to cast that spell, so she doesn't know what's going to happen. In gameplay, 5 random targets between allies and enemies will be selected; if an ally is targeted, they get healed and have their Critical Hit damage increased for a couple of turns at most but if an enemy is targeted they get attacked, have their CRIT RES debuffed and are inflicted with [Sleep] for a turn.
  • Undying Loyalty: She's very loyal towards her old master to the point where she kept waiting for him despite his blatant abuse and abandonment in the end. Now that the Successor is her new master, she sticks closely to him, if only out of fear of it happening once more.
  • Verbal Tic: In Japanese, Chiffon ends her sentences with "desu". In English she simply repeats part of her sentence.

    Dian
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sniper
Height and Weight: 162cm / 45kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: 10/1
Lament: The Road Home to You (JP by Ayuko Namihara; EN)
Voiced by: Minami Tanaka (JP); Felecia Angelle (EN)

A maid who was saved after being found rampaging in a laboratory. Being the former maid of a researcher made her knowledgeable in medicine, so she's now using this to her advantage to cure the victims of the Kingdom of Byrune's experiments.

With her pinpoint accurate gunshots and expertise in the scientific and medical fields, Dian will do anything to fight for those she calls "friends". Her 1st active fires a "Piercing Shot" at the enemies' weak points which deals 1 physical attack equal to up to 410% of her ATK to 3 random enemies and inflicts [Bleed] for 3 turns which deals damage equal to 25% of her ATK at the start of the action phase, and at max level also grants Dian [Regeneration] for the same amount of turns that restores HP equal to 5% of her max HP at the same time as her targets' [Bleed]. Through her research on cursed creatures, Dian also gains their power at the expense of herself through her 2nd active in which she fires a "Cursed Bullet" that consumes 35% of her max HP and deals 1 direct attack equal to up to 100% of the consumed HP to 2 random enemies, but only when her remaining HP percentage is more than 40%.

And as the loyal servant to a former researcher and now you, Dian's "Heart of Servitude" which is her 1st passive has her provide support with all her heart and devotion by increasing the chance of evasion to herself and the ally with the highest ATK by up to 50% for up to 5 turns while her determination to save as many friends as she can even if she's risking herself takes on the form of her 2nd passive "Servant's Expertise" in which [Invisibility] is granted to herself if her remaining HP percentage falls below 40% and more than 2 allies are still alive, and at higher levels also strengthens her basic attack to have her deal 1 physical attack equal to 250% of her ATK to 2 random enemies and has a up to 100% chance to dispel 1 buff from each of them, though the passive will not active if only 1 ally is left alive.

When Dian is gifted her Unique Weapon "Angel's Howl", "Piercing Shot"'s range is increased to 5 random enemies and its [Bleed] and [Regeneration] last for 4 turns each while "Cursed Bullet" targets 3 random enemies instead of 2.

  • Cast from Hit Points: Doubles with Power at a Price. Dian's 2nd active "Cursed Bullet" removes 35% of her max. HP to deal an attack equal to 60% of what was taken to 2 random enemies (100% once it reaches level 4). Unlike Petra below however, Dian doesn't have a way to restore her HP afterwards, often relying on healers such as Freesia and Fortina to help her out. While this may cause her to take herself out before her defeat, "Servant's Expertise" does give her [Invisibility] as long as 2 or more allies are still alive, strengthens her basic attack and from level 2 onwards can dispel a opponent's buff when her HP falls to 40% and below. She also has "Heart of Servitude" to increase her and her allies' chance of evasion and if "Piercing Shot" is at level 3 she gets [Regeneration] for 3 turns.
  • Dual Wielding: Dian wields a pair of pistols in each of her hands in her character art.
  • Girls with Guns: Like fellow gun user Cordie, Dian wields 2 handguns but unlike Cordie wields them out of necessity.
  • Handguns: Collectively called "Angel's Howl", these 2 handguns serve as Dian's Unique Weapon.
  • Little Bit Beastly: Dian has cat ears and a tail.
  • Meido: She served as one to a researcher in the Kingdom of Byrune prior to being found by the Successor. She still dresses and works like one even after that.

    Freesia
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sorcerer
Height and Weight: 155cm / 42kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: 5/17
Lament: See You Again (JP by Sonoko Inoue; EN)
Voiced by: Yui Horie (JP); Olivia Michael (EN)

A flower seller who lived with her beloved grandmother atop a mountain, Freesia was persecuted as a witch for as long as she could remember. Freesia knows the symbolism of every flower and often gives them out as presents.

Using her knowledge of flowers and the power of the wind, Fressia serves as the protector of the team to keep everyone alive. Her 1st active "Final Tempest" has Freesia send a strong gust of wind which deals 1 magical attack equal to up to 280% of her ATK to 3 random enemies and from level 2 onwards deals an additional direct attack equal to 20% of the skill's total damage to the enemy with the lowest remaining HP percentage. On the other hand, Freesia's 2nd active "Flowers of Eden" has her send a gentle breeze that carries the fragrance of flowers to her allies instead, restoring HP equal to up to 250% of her MAG to the 3 allies with the lowest remaining HP percentage. At higher levels, if the target's remaining HP is 15% or lower, the amount of HP restored is multiplied by 1.5 and increases their DEF by 20% for 2 turns.

Calling forth a "Rainbow Wind" that breathes life into her allies, Freesia's 1st passive of that name carries her wish to prevent harm by decreasing the damage all allies take by up to 15%, and from level 2 onwards also increases their chance to evade by that same amount. And by planting "Seeds of Love", Freesia's eponymous 2nd passive has her strengthen her basic attack in which when she deals one it has a 30% chance to restore HP equal to up to 20% of her ATK to her and from level 2 onwards does the same to the ally with the lowest remaining HP percentage.

When Freesia is gifted with her unique weapon "Notebook on Flowers", "Final Tempest" will also decrease a target's CRIT DMG boost by 15% if their MAG is lower than hers, increases its range to 5 random enemies and the damage from the additional direct attack is increased to 25% of its total damage.

  • Blow You Away: Freesia's main power, which is to send gusts of wind mainly to protect and heal her allies but can also be used to damage enemies.
  • Commonality Connection: When you get her to SSR+, she mentions having befriended Merlyn and Natasha and bonded with them over their love of flowers.
  • Flower Motifs: Freesia uses them in her line of work as a flower seller and in her magic. Notably, she gives you an autumn daffodil ("I can't wait to see you again") when you log in after a long time of inactivity, a nasturtium ("victory") when you win a battle, and her birthday gift to you is a bouquet of your birth flowers.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Fressia has her hair tied in twin braids to symbolize her being one of the more feminine witches.
  • Healing Hands: Freesia uses the scent of flowers carried by the wind to heal her allies. She's also one of the best healers out there, making her the perfect ally to protect the rest of her party, especially Dian and other Glass Cannon witches such as Florence.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: To emphasize her kindness and purity.
  • Meaningful Name: A flower seller naturally has to have a name based on a flower. In particular, freesias represent trust and friendship, which is what she offers to the Successor.
  • Support Party Member: Freesia's main role, which is to keep everyone alive with her powers of the wind.

Lament: Horns (JP by Seiko Niizuma; EN)

A small-town girl from the Holy See of Hainz who became a witch out of shock after witnessing her friend's death at the hands of the Witch Hunts. Having grown very conscious of her new horn and claws, she's now terrified of going out in public.

Despite her new appearance, it's all Petra has to defend herself and her friends from any opposition. Her 1st active "Claws of Desperation" has her attack with her claws to shake off the fear in her heart by decreasing her current HP by 10% and deals 1 physical attack equal to up to 520% of her ATK to the enemy with the lowest HP, and at max. level restores HP equal to 30% of her max. HP to her. Her 2nd active "Marks of a Witch" also decreases her HP by 10% from the torment of the pain of her transformation, but increases her ATK by up to 30% of her remaining HP percentage for 4 turns.

Eventually, Petra manages to come to terms with her witch powers, which becomes her passive "What My Power is For" that strengthens her basic attack that deals 1 physical attack equal to 220% of her ATK to up to 2 random enemies.

  • Cast from Hit Points: Petra's 1st active "Claws of Desperation" uses 10% of her HP to deal damage but if raised to level 3 restores 30% to her if it defeats an enemy. Her 2nd active "Marks of a Witch" also decreases her HP by the same amount but increases her ATK which scales according to its level.
  • Locked into Strangeness: When Petra awakened her powers, half of her hair turned white, her left hand became a claw and she grew a horn on the left side of her head.
  • Red Right Hand: Post-awakening as a witch, her left hand has been transformed into a red clawed one.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Petra's speaking voice is high-pitched, but her singing voice is noticeably lower.

She was held captive in a tower by a cult of witch-worshippers who mistook her for the witch who founded her village ages ago, with Rean going on a mission to rescue her. Being as timid as a rabbit has made her unaware that she's very good at making her friends, especially the older ones, dote on her.

Being held captive in the tower doesn't mean that Priscilla can't hold her own ground. Her 1st active "Holy Torch" has Priscilla unleash a devastating explosion of flames that deals 1 magical attack equal to 200% of her ATK to 3 random enemies and wards off the forces of evil from her friends by restoring HP equal to 50% of her ATK to the 2 allies with the highest ATK and dispels up to 2 buffs from them (which increases to 3 if the initial magical attack deals 1 or more CriticalHits), and starting from level 2 additionally increases their chances to resist a debuff by 40% for 2 turns. Priscilla's 2nd active "Shining Shower" summons rays of light pouring like rain from the heavens, dealing 1 magical attack equal to 200% of her ATK to 3 random enemies and restores HP equal to 50% of her ATK to up to 3 allies with the lowest remaining HP percentages while granting them [Regeneration] that restores HP equal to up to 5% of their max. HP for a turn which starting from level 2 increases the duration by 1 if the initial magical attack deals 1 or more critical hits; further increasing by 1 turn for each critical hit.

Believing that Rean will one day save her Priscilla's 1st passive "A Promise Kept" increases her max. HP by up to 50% and M.DEF by up to 100% and starting from level 2 additionally increases her chance to deal a critical hit by up to 40% while her heart that has been strengthened by enduring countless days and nights of loneliness in the tower manifests her 2nd passive "Prisoner in the Tower" which increases her DEF by 50% for up to 5 turns at the start of the battle, though for every debuff she's inflicted with from an opposing active skill, the number of [Increased DEF] she has is depleted by 1 and her debuffs' durations are shortened by 2 turns, additionally restoring HP equal to up to 50% of her ATK to the ally with the lowest remaining HP percentage starting from level 2.

Once Priscilla is reunited with a copy of her Unique Weapon "Rapunzel", "Holy Torch"'s targets whose HP are restored and debuffs dispelled are increased to 3 and their chance to resist a debuff increased to 80% while the amount of HP restored to all targets of "Shining Shower" is increased to 100% of her ATK.

  • Bunnies for Cuteness: She's said to be as timid as a rabbit and her art has her with bunnies that make her all the cuter. It's also revealed that she has three bunnies as pets named Prean, Zaruld and Skura, but the latter two ran away at some point.
  • Childhood Friends: With Rean, Zara and Skuld, though she's closer to Rean because both of their families descended from the witch who founded their village.
  • Cool Crown: According to Rean, Priscilla and her have identical crowns which look like the one their shared ancestor wore.
  • Commonality Connection: Raise Priscilla to UR and it's revealed in her awakening line that she and Lunalynn do enjoy each other's company and that both of them have plenty in common such as enjoying being indoors instead of going out.
  • Cuteness Proximity: Inverted - she's on the receiving end by almost everyone; in her UR+ line, she lets Cordie, Hathor and Mimi give headpats on the assumption that it's for her pet rabbit Prean, but it turns out that they wanted to headpat her instead.
  • Damsel in Distress: Held captive by a cult of witch-worshippers due to her likeness to her village's founder.

  • Girl in the Tower: She's this in her captivity, being trapped in a tower by the witch-worshipping cult.
  • Healing Hands: Both of Priscilla's actives deal damage to her enemies and heal her allies.
  • Identical Ancestor: She's said to resemble the founder of her home village who was worshipped by a cult of aristocrats, but was rescued by traitors within said cult to grant her her freedom. This was why she was kidnapped by the cult during the events of Rean's and her own Character Memory story.
  • Lady and Knight: Priscilla is the Lady to Rean's Knight.
  • Power Limiter: The Cool Crowns she and Rean wear are actually this, which is how their ancestor and later she herself was kept prisoner by the witch-worshipping cult. The one that Rean wears however has since lost its power, so Rean has no issues with using her powers even with it on.
  • Promoted to Playable: Nearly a year after the game's release, she's finally made playable on September 29 2023 which allows her to be reunited with Rean, Zara and Skuld at long last.
  • Shrinking Violet: Part of that is because her grandmother had warned the village children to not venture outside, though when she's rescued and taken to the Successor's estate she's gotten a little bit bolder.
  • Take Me Instead: During Rean's Memories, she offers to go with the witch-worshippers in exchange for Rean's life and even became a witch for her sake. However, once a member of the cult reveals that they're not going to let Priscilla go, Rean becomes motivated to rescue her.

A courageous and energetic girl from a village on the Galia-Adria border who has been searching for her childhood friend Priscilla after she had been kidnapped, refusing to give up even when at a clear disadvantage. While it's easy to get along with her, she absolutely cannot calm down.

Rean uses her status as The Determinator to defeat anyone standing in the way of reaching her goal. By using her crimson blade, her 1st active "Crimson Slash" deals up to 4 physical attacks equivalent to up to 460% of her ATK to random enemies, increasing her ATK by 30% for 1 turn for every critical hit dealt. Her courage transforms her blade's luster via her 2nd active "Shining Blade" and deals 1 physical ATK equal to a maximum of 550% of her ATK to up to 5 random enemies, with an additional attack equal to 480% of her ATK to the enemy with the lowest remaining HP for every enemy defeated by this skill and restores HP equal to 50% of its total damage to her.

Through her vow to Priscilla, Rean's 1st passive "My Vow from That Day" grants her [Shield] equal to up to 500% of her ATK for up to 3 turns at the start of the battle, and her 2nd passive "Feisty Determination" increases her chance of dealing a critical hit by up to 50% if her remaining HP is below 50% due to her determination to overcome all obstacles in her path.

Attain Rean's Unique Weapon "Burning Promise" and "Crimson Slash" further increases her ATK to 50% and now deals 6 physical attacks equal to 515% of her ATK.

  • Childhood Friends: Rean grew up in the same village as Zara and Priscilla, and later the trio befriended Skuld when she came over for her studies.
  • Cool Crown: It's based on the crown the witch ancestor of her village wore. According to Rean, she and Priscilla have identical crowns.
  • The Determinator: Rean won't give up until she finds Priscilla, and nothing's going to stop her from doing so. Even her skills reflect this.
  • Genki Girl: She's a large bundle of energy.
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: A spunky girl on a quest to save her childhood friend who's locked up like a princess in a tower, wielding a sword to fight her way past the captors. Can't get any more classic than that.
  • Lady and Knight: Rean is the Knight to Priscilla's Lady.
  • My Greatest Failure: Rean deciding to take her Childhood Friend Priscilla out of the village they stayed in took a turn for the worse when Priscilla was kidnapped by a group of aristocratic witch worshippers and Rean couldn't save her. She's been trying to amend this mistake ever since. With Priscilla being Promoted to Playable, it's safe to say that she succeeded.
  • Royal Rapier: Rean wields one in her Character art which doubles as her Unique Weapon.
  • Sideboob: She wears a shirt that's functionally an apron, covering only her front and baring everything on her upper body to give us a glimpse of her sides.

    Sabrina
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Warrior
Height and Weight: 158cm / 41kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: 2/20
Lament: Call My Name (JP by Eri Sasaki; EN by Charlotte Bash)
Voiced by: Akari Kitou (JP); Alexis Colett (EN)

A calm, level-headed soldier in the northern army who seeks to overcome her traumatizing childhood memories through military training. Despite Sabrina's persona of a hardened soldier, her façade has cracks that previews her true self.

Sabrina combines motivating words with her flurry of attacks. Her 1st active "Cerulean Flurry" has her use her blue rapier to deliver a flurry of rapid strikes that deal 5 physical attacks equal to up to 420% of her ATK to random enemies and with her eyes locked on the enemy's openings, if the skill deals a Critical Hit to a target, the subsequent attacks will be criticals as well and starting from lvl 2 if she deals 4 or more critical hits her DEF is increased by 70% for 2 turns. Her 2nd active "Ultramarine Frenzy" has her vigor as a soldier cause her enemy to lose the will to fight by dealing 3 physical attacks equal to up to 520% of her ATK to random enemies with a 30% chanced to decrease their SPD by up to 15% for 1 turn, with the damage dealt to a target with [Decreased SPD] multiplied by 1.5.

By motivating herself to show her courage, Sabrina's 1st passive "Courage to be Alive" dispels a debuff from her if she's afflicted with one once every 4 turns, and at lvl 2 dispells all of her debuffs and when fully upgraded additionally grants her [Unhindered] for 2 turns while her love for her mother and her childhood dreams become Sabrina's power to live as her 2nd passive "Love and Ambition" by increasing her max. HP by up to 7% at the start of each turn (up to 20x max.).

Once Sabrina is reissued with her Unique Weapon "Riviere", "Cerulean Flurry"'s physical attacks are increased to 7 and additionally grants her [Counter-Fainted] for 2 turns if she deals 4 or more critical hits which has a 30% chance to inflict [Fainted] on the enemy that attacked her for 2 turns while "Ultramarine Frenzy"'s physical attacks are increased to 4.

On June 30 2023, Sabrina received a swimsuit version called [Soldier of the Summer Breeze] as an Emerald Aura Witch. For more information, see her tab here.

  • Irony: Sabrina's actives have names that make one think she's a Aura of Azure witch. Neither her default appearance nor her Summer variant are Azure-types and she herself by default is weak to Aura of Azure witches.
  • My Greatest Failure: Being unable to save her mother from being burnt by the Knights of Longinus. It still continues to haunt her in her Summer variant.
  • The Stoic: She isn't one to emote, which is understandable considering she used to be part of the army before allying herself with the Successor.

    Sophia
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Warrior
Height and Weight: 163cm / 47kg
Blood Type: AB
Birthday: 10/5
Lament: Let Me Sing in the Rain (JP by Ikumi Hasegawa; EN)
Voiced by: Ikumi Hasegawa (JP); Lisa Ortiz (EN)

A calm, wise and thoughtful educator who used to be a brilliant home tutor for many children in the Kingdom of Chekkos. She ended up as a victim of a rumor in a mistrustful city that claims that she "turns children into witches", but was saved by the Successor at the last minute before her execution. She now serves as the Successor's tutor.

  • Badass Teacher: If it weren't for the Witch Hunts, having a witch as a home tutor would be very cool.
  • Brutal Honesty: In her SSR line, Sophia accidentally upsets Illya when the latter asked the former if she had gained weight and she replied bluntly that yes, she did. Poor Illya then ran away after that, causing Sophia to look for her out of concern.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Sophia was first previewed in an episode of Please Let Me Carry Your Bag!, a Japanese reality show about various companies, which featured the game's developing company Bank of Innovation.
  • Friend to All Children: Sophia's students adore her. In Sabrina (Summer)'s Character Memory story she's also mentioned when Sabrina has no clue on how to teach Moddey to swim (and therefore conquer her aquaphobia), with Sabrina believing that Sophia (along with Valeriede) would know what to do about it.
  • Not So Above It All: Despite being older (and therefore more reasonable) than most of the other witches, Sophia has landed herself in various shenanigans such as drinking Skuld's bitter elixirs and trying to learn how to speak cat language thinking that one of her students (heavily implied to be Mimi) will be doubtful about her.
  • Perpetual Frowner: Sophia doesn't smile in most of her artwork, though her UR+ line has her attempting to do as a request from one of her students. Her LR line heavily implies that it was Charlotte who made the request.
  • When She Smiles: Sophia gives a small one in her 4th Memory animation.

    Theodora
Rarity: R -> SSR+
Type: Sorcerer
Height and Weight: 160cm / 48kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: 10/30
Lament: Straight Ahead (JP by Natusmi Kiyoura (TWEEDEES); EN)
Voiced by: Mayu Mineda (JP); Lauren Mayfield (EN)

A girl who used to work at an inn for pilgrims, Theodora once lived in a witch village but left to find work. She has a bad habit of keeping her feelings to herself and tends to be very indecisive.

Theodora uses her scales to determine her own destiny. Her 1st active "Tipping the Scales" has her mustering up the courage to forge her own path and deal 1 magical attack equal to up to 480% of her ATK to the enemy with the highest current HP and once the scales tip in her favour it inflicts [Bleed] on the target for 3 turns, dealing damage equal to a max. of 7% of her ATK at the start of the action phase. With her 2nd active "My Heavy Decision", Theodora's heart does away with all hesitation and fills her with enough power to deal 1 magical attack equal to up to 450% of her ATK to the 2 enemies with the highest current HP and also has a up to 70% chance to decrease both their DEF by 20% for 2 turns.

Additionally, by eating her inn's specialty "Homemade Lunch" that also serves as her passive, Theodora's max HP and chance to inflict a debuff is increased by 20%.

  • The Ditherer: Theodora can be very indecisive, which plays a huge part in her biggest regrets; see My Greatest Failure.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Theodora uses a pair of scales to attack.
  • My Greatest Failure: Theodora has been very upset with herself for not heeding Soltina's request to save Lunalynn from the Inquisition, and having heard that Soltina went all the way to rescue her sister with the Successor made her feelings worse since she didn't heed Soltina's request out of fear of the Inquisition and the Witch Hunts. Fortunately, after hearing that the two sisters are now safe and sound in the Successor's land and that Soltina doesn't blame her for anything, she's started to forgive herself for it.

    Cordie (Yukata)

Summer's Reverb

Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sniper
Height and Weight: 149cm / 41kg
Blood Type: B
Birthday: 5/31
Lament: Liatris (JP by Haruna Luna; EN by splendiferachie)

Arriving at a city of art for summer vacation, Cordie is there for the city's ritual ceremony but soon finds herself joining a troupe of acrobats to help liven up the festivities. She soon finds herself with a new power when she decides to take it upon herself to make everyone smile during the festival.

Not even the ritual ceremony's somber origins isn't stopping Cordie from lightening the mood, especially when trading her pistols for a rifle. Her first active "Blooming Thunder" has Cordie grab everyone's attention as she increases the "Chance to Hit" and lowers the "Chance to Evade" of up to 2 allies with the highest ATK by 25% each for up to 4 turns, and follows up by firing a large firework into the sky which ends with its sparks raining down on enemies who have the nerve to ruin the festivities which deals 4 physical attacks equal to up to 330% of her ATK to random enemies. Her 2nd active "Star Mine" has Cordie shoot up a series of fireworks into the sky, dealing 1 physical attack equal to up to 300% of her ATK to up to 5 random enemies and if she's enhanced with 1 buff or more, said attack is multiplied by 1.5. Starting from level 2, the skill also restores HO equal to 30% of the skill's total damage to the ally with the lowest remaining HP percentage.

Yelling "Let's Liven It Up!", Cordie's 1st passive of that name increases the ATK of the ally with the highest ATK by up to 60% of Cordie's ATK for up to 2 turns once every 4 turns and with the "Resounding Applause" that is her 2nd passive, each time Cordie attacks the passive increases both her DEF and M.DEF by up to 10% (100% max) for 1 turn, further increasing by up to 10% for each attack she deals and takes.

Trading her pistols for a rifle named "Festive Summer" that becomes Cordie's Unique Weapon, "Blooming Thunder"'s [Increase Chance to Hit] and [Decrease Chance to Evade] are both increased to 50% and its physical attacks are increased to 5 while "Let's Liven it Up!"'s targets are increased to 2.

As Cordie and Cordie (Yukata) are different characters, both can be placed in the same party. For more information on her regular self, see here.

  • The Determinator: Even if the ritual ceremony's supposed to be for the citizens to pay respects to the dead, Cordie will stop at nothing to put smiles on people's faces with her performances. It works as she not only managed to make the grumpy old man smile, but also put to rest the spirit of a young boy who had never seen a performance before.
  • The Nicknamer: She calls Primavera "Vera". The Successor has no idea who she's referring to until Cordie points it out herself.
  • Wardrobe Malfunction: Because Cordie is wearing a yukata for the first time, she has trouble moving while wearing it. Cordie wonders how Shizu makes moving in a yukata so easy and pretty as well according to Cordie (Yukata)'s 8th home voice line.
