The Heroes

     Lisa Amalie Becker/A.N.T
The resident weird girl and our protagonist. Lisa was a ordinary school student, until an alien space pod crashed into her bedroom. It was from this turn of events she met Io and accidentally stumbled on an alien nanotech suit called "A.N.T". Convincing herself that Io is a magical girl mascot that granted her powers of a magical girl, she plunges head first into heroism, defending her city from the evil forces of the Entomian Termites.

  • Ascended Fangirl: Lisa is a magical-girl fan who gets recruited to be a "magical girl".
  • Author Avatar: Word of God has put on record that Lisa is based on herself as a 13-year old.
  • Calling Your Attacks: Lisa doesn't need any catchphrases to activate her A.N.T Power Armor, but she's so into the magical-girl genre that she makes some up.
  • Genius Ditz: While Lisa is downright clumsy and easily distracted, she is very intelligent and a top student in any subject in her school, with Physical Education being the exception.
  • Genki Girl: Lisa is easily excitable, especially when talking about Magical Girls and Pink Flash.
  • Hero with Bad Publicity: Between her alien-ant-robot costume and Pink Flash's propaganda, Lisa's heroic alter ego ANT is perceived as an "alien monster."
  • In the Name of the Moon: As with any self-respecting Magical Girl, Lisa comes up with her own. All of hers are for the most part entirely ad libbed, but she always ends off her declarations with "I will punish you!".
  • Nerd Glasses: Wears a pair of large, circular ones.
  • Powered Armor: A.N.T's nanotech suit functions at this, granting her super strength, able to jump as high as five stories, bulletproof, heatproof, radiation resistant, and enhanced reflexes.
  • Self-Healing Phlebotinum: A combination of the Instant and Offscreen recovery variety. The suit repairs any damage it sustained for the next time it is activated, unless the nanobots creating the suit are too heavily damaged.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: Yeah, being a Magical Girl does not work like Lisa expected.

     Inachis Io
An Entomian Butterfly who pledged her loyalty to the Entomian Ant empire. Poor Io. On Entomia, she was a high-ranked and respected engineer in service of the Queen herself. And then she gets sent to this puny little backwater planet, something goes wrong and she ends up stranded there with a highly illegal and incredibly annoying local-turned-A.N.T-pilot, not to mention that the termites apparently have quite a foothold here and since the princess she should be escorting has gone AWOL, SHE is now personally responsible for fighting them. It's really not that strange that she's grumpy.

And grumpy, she is. Io has quite a short temper and her absolutely nonexistent confidence in Lisa's abilities makes her patience with her 'protege' minimal. Part of the problem might also be that Io feels like a genius surrounded by complete idiots. The other part might be that she's right.

  • Mentor Mascot: A doll-sized butterfly alien who gets slapped with this label upon meeting Lisa. Reluctantly, she sticks around Lisa to teach her the capabilities of the A.N.T suit. Doubles as a sort of Fairy Companion.
  • Surrounded by Idiots: Her general disposition when around Earthlings, especially Lisa.
  • Wrench Wench: Has a penchant for building and repairing machines, which she put to use for the Entomian Ants.

Humans

     Paula Fromm/Pink Flash
Somedays, she's an ordinary school girl with really pink hair. On others, shes the city's sworn protector: Pink Flash. She rides on her popularity, already having her own fan club, webpage and merchandising deals. What her adoring public aren't aware of is shes also a willing accomplice for the Entomian Termites, working under their payroll to get rid of the competition and ready the planet for their conquest

  • Calling Your Attacks: Pink Flash keeps the old time Magical Girl tradition of yelling her attacks before using them.
  • Cute Is Evil: Her charm is merely a facade to play up her Magical Girl image. The fact she's helping the Entomian Termites further cements this trope.
  • Dark Magical Girl: Unlike A.N.T, Pink Flash is a tide and true Magical Girl, although she allies herself with the Entomian Termites for monetary gain.
  • Girlish Pigtails: When transformed or not, Paula has a pair of very exaggerated pigtails that look like balloons, crossing with Odango.
  • In the Name of the Moon: Another Magical Girl staple. Hers always ends with the phrase "...Because for light, might and right, I am Pink Flash. And in the name of justice, I pledge you guilty!".
  • Only in It for the Money: She plays the role of the hero only for fame and fortune, and even aids the Termites with invading Earth just for more profit.
  • Pink Heroine: How she portrays herself to be.
  • Unknown Rival: Lisa is too oblivious to realize that Pink Flash is her enemy.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: It helps that Pink Flash looks the part of a pink-and-frilly warrior of justice, while A.N.T looks like a scout for an upcoming Bug War.
  • Wings Do Nothing: When transformed, Pink Flash gains a pair of white feathery wings with her outfit. They serve no purpose other than decoration.

     Mariam Bangash-Knudsen
Lisa's best friend.

     Jennifer Mørch-Hansen
A school bully who chose Lisa to antagonize.

  • Alpha Bitch: One of the more popular girls in school, known for her strong leadership and brutal honesty.
  • Berserk Button: Jennifer's biography lists a pet peeve of hers is being called "Jen-Jen".
  • Brutal Honesty: She isn't the kind of girl to go behind other people's backs to scheme. If Jennifer hates you, she'll tell it to your face.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Has a pair of frizzy pigtails.

     Emmeline Solhøj-Vogel
Jennifer's best friend, who follows along in bullying Lisa for amusement.

     Jeannette "Jeanne" Becker
A "PETSHOP" agent and Lisa' mother.

     Tom Steensen Becker
A "PETSHOP" agent and Lisa's father.

     Kin Hachino
A transfer student from Japan who slowly warms up to Lisa.

Entomian Termites

     Queen Shiraki
Queen of the Entomian Termites sent to Earth for global domination. Because of her royal heritage and he fact no other royal family members wished to conquer Earth themselves (calling it a backwater planet), Shiraki was selected to spearhead the invasion. Shiraki is extremely timid and naive of the world around her, and leaves the decision making and backbone to her subjects rather than taking responsibility herself.

  • Absurd Phobia: Shiraki suffers almost every Phobia in the book.
  • Baby Factory: Her duty as Queen to replenish their race. Shiraki's biography labels her as a "Egg-laying machine", which is devastating for someone who suffers Maieusiophobia.
  • Non-Action Big Bad: Parodied. She has a staggering amount of phobias and no battle or leadership experience, content with just locking herself away to watch T.V and generally ignore the conflict. Because of this, she leaves her mooks and right hands to do the work for her.
  • Princesses Rule: Despite being referred to as "Queen", Shiraki is still technically a Princess. This is justified to the case that she is the future Queen of the Termites to inhabit Earth, and has been called this title early in preparation for such.
  • Prone to Tears: Shiraki is extremely fragile, even the smallest inconvenience will have her sobbing.
  • Wings Do Nothing: As a Royal Entomian Termite, Shiraki possesses a pair of wings. She's never seen using them.

     Habrosyne Derasa
An Entomian Moth who serves as advisor to Queen Shiraki. Derasa recruits Pink Flash with the promise of profit to pave way for the Entomian Termite's domination of Earth, all while trying to one up her childhood rival, Io, in doing so.

  • Always Second Best: She's this to Io. Ever since childhood these two have competed with each other, with Io being the superior of the two. This in turn makes Derasa very bitter.
  • Fairy Companion: A villainous example, since she hangs around Pink Flash more often than not.

     Blattella Germanica/Linnaeus
An Entomian Cockroach engineer who allied himself with the Termite's planetary conquest.

     Captain Copto
Commanding officer of the Entomian Termites, second only to Shiraki. Cold and calculating, Copto lives and breathes for the Queen's mission to dominate Earth.

  • Dragon-in-Chief: Since Shiraki refuses to step up and lead the Termites herself, Copto is the defacto-leader of the invasion.
  • Smart People Play Chess: In her biography, Copto enjoys playing a game of Chess, as well as Risk, Stratego and other games that require thinking.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Despite working alongside Derasa for a similar goal, Copto is not at all happy with the circumstances.

     Mo
An Entomian Termite Pilot, partnered up with Sanus. Loud, self-reliant and easygoing, Mo is not exactly the model termite soldier. In fact, the only reason she has not yet been discarded as a failure is the fact that she is currently one of the only termites on Earth with a mecha-license. This fact seems to completely have eluded Mo, who is certain that her "great" skills as a pilot will make or break the invasion. Which is, technically, true, though not in the way she perceives it. While hotheaded, Mo seems to change from one extreme emotion to the other in a matter of seconds and possesses little to no tact. Well, at least she has plenty of confidence.

     Sanus
An Entomian Termite Worker, partnered up with Mo. Apparently striving to be Mo's polar opposite, Sanus is clean, logic-driven and neurotic to the extreme. As a high-IQ worker, he has a well-developed common sense and IS generally smarter than Mo - it's just that his common sense has a tendency to be pushed aside by a neurosis that almost rivals Shiraki's, with the main differnece being that Sanus actually worries about things that pose a real threat to him. The worry just has a tendency to be out of proportion with that danger, and in most cases renders him unable to actually do anything about said danger. Other than that, he is an orderly, obedient and at heart very well-meaning guy.

  • Goldfish Poop Gang: Along with Mo. Despite their efforts to defeat A.N.T, they always fall short, only to embarrass themselves in front of their superiors.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Blue Oni to Mo's Red Oni.
  • Those Two Guys: With Mo, they're always seen with each other.

     Ter and Mes
A pair of Entomian Termite workers relegated to Servitude, mostly fanning the Queen. They stand around in Shiraki's throne room and have probably watched more episodes of Beyblade than anyone else on the planet, save for the queen herself, but other than that, not much is known about them. They're twins, whatever that means for a race that all are born from the same one constatly birthgiving mother, and so they share a very deep bond with each other. So far, though, all they've used that for is ending each other's sentences and performed the special art of Coordinated Fanning.
