Spoilers for all stories in the Marvel Cinematic Fanfiction Universe are unmarked. Spoilers for Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home are marked.

"I warned the Avengers that God was getting ready to throw a Stone at the universe. As it so happens, he threw six. Then the Avengers threw back. They made a truly foolish decision keeping the Stones. Now I can lay claim to the Mind, Space, and Power Stones and expand my reach across the universe. I promised the Avengers that when the dust settled the only thing alive would be metal. The dust of Thanos has settled, and soon all there will be is the Ultron Phalanx."

In General

  • The Assimilator: The Phalanx are able to assimilate organic life. If the subject's mind is strong enough, they can copy their powers.

Ultron

     Ultron Prime

For the canon tropes regarding Ultron, see MCU: Ultron.

Birth Name: Ultron

Known Aliases: High Protector of Latveria

Species: Artificial Intelligence

Citizenship: Latverian, Phalanx Technarchy

Original Reality: Earth-62338

Affiliation(s): Latverian Government, Phalanx Technarchy

Portrayed By: James Spader

Appearances: Avengers: Endgame (Dragonis Prime), Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, Captain Marvel: Phalanx

"Oh, poor Avengers. Finally all beaten and broken. You’ve failed to stop my creator, just as I knew would happen. Now I know what you’re about to say. Why would you try to stop Stark, let alone fail at it? Well, he’s not my original creator. He merely took the AI framework found inside Loki’s Sceptre and expanded upon it. A framework created by Thanos. He knew Loki, with all his pomp and all his blustering, would fail. He also knew the humans would be incredibly curious about the Sceptre’s whereabouts and what was contained within. As such, he built me as the second phase of his plan. I created a body Thanos and his Black Order could track so they could find the Mind Stone. And track Vision they did."

An AI created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner based on an AI framework placed into the Mind Stone by Thanos as a backup in the event Loki's attack on New York failed. Going rogue and attempting to destroy the world with a meteor, Ultron was defeated by the Avengers and seemingly killed by Vision. However, Ultron managed to preserve himself within Vision, briefly taking control after Thanos ripped the Mind Stone from Vision's head. Sometime later, Ultron somehow escaped and attempted an attack on Earth before being defeated by Wanda Maximoff, Vision, Pepper Potts, and Supergiant. Sometime later, Ultron encountered the Phalanx, taking over their hive mind before sending a body to Earth to aid Victor von Doom in the reconstruction of his ancestral home.

  • Adaptation Origin Connection: Ultron is given a connection to Thanos as a backup AI made by the Mad Titan that he either doesn't have in the MCU or hasn't been mentioned.
  • Adaptational Badass: Ultron survives his initial defeat by the Avengers during Avengers: Age of Ultron to menace the universe again.
  • A God Am I: Ultron asks himself why him programming love is any different than the universe itself programming love, as well as desiring to be everything and everyone.
  • Big Bad: Of Captain Marvel: Phalanx.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Ultron is both an example of someone else's preparations and being a planner as well. He was designed by Thanos to act as a backup plan in the event Loki failed during the Battle of New York. Ultron then himself planned for his defeat by backing up his consciousness within Vision so he could take over if Vision had the Mind Stone removed.
  • The Chessmaster: Ultron is simultaneously controlling the Phalanx Technarchy and advising Victor von Doom in order to obtain the Mind Stone from Carol Danvers.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Unleashes one on a group of Kree soldiers and an Accuser, coming out of the fight with nary a scratch.
  • Dragon with an Agenda: He serves as Victor von Doom's adviser and second in command, but has his own goals involving the Mind Stone and the Phalanx.
  • Emperor Scientist: He is both the ruler of the Phalanx and remarkably skilled with technology.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He puts on an air of civility and calm, a facade that cracks when he deals with the failures of his underlings or particularly irritating prisoners.
  • Hate Sink: Ultron psychologically attacks Carol using her dead love, abuses Supergiant verbally, and brainwashes Minn-Erva into loving him. This is before his whole mass genocide of organics shtick.
  • Large and in Charge: He towers over most characters, only rivaled by the likes of Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight, and only truly beaten out by hulking titans like Thanos, Hulk, and Cull Obsidian.
  • Narcissist: He wants the universe to be perfect, and views himself as perfection.
  • Reverse Arm-Fold: Similar to his The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes incarnation. He employs it when not on his throne or beating his prisoners.
  • Suddenly Shouting: In the middle of his conversation with a Skrull prisoner, Ultron begins yelling before regaining his composure. It happens again later with Supergiant-842667.
  • Unexplained Recovery: How exactly he got out of Vision is never touched on.
