The character sheet for the Welsh S4C series, Llan-ar-goll-en.
The Detective Duo
One of two detectives in Llan-ar-goll-en, and Ceri's best human friend. As his name suggests, he is always in a rush and he tends to jump to conclusions when solving mysteries.
- Always Someone Better: Ceri is this to him, as she is always the one to find out the mystery of the day before him. However, they're still Best Friends despite this.
- Big Eater: Prys even gets distracted often from mystery solving because of his hunger.
- Butt-Monkey: Sometimes, mostly when it comes to jokes from the other citizens (and even the narrator) about how he almost never manages to correctly solve the mystery of the day.
- Clueless Detective: So much that even the narrator makes fun of him for this once.
- The Ditz: Prys is a bit clumsy.
- Eek, a Mouse!!: Scared of mice.
- Hollywood Tone-Deaf: He cannot sing - although the actor who plays him, Rhys ap Trefor is a talented actor.
- Meaningful Name: In Welsh, his name translates to "always in a hurry", which is true; Prys tends to rush into situations and jumps to silly conclusions to finish the mystery early.

- Only Sane Man: Ceri is often the one to fill this role, thanks to the rest of the villagers being cloudcuckoolanders in their own right.
- Out-of-Character Moment: In "Dirgelwch y Llythyr Coll", it's revealed that Ceri was the one who stole Prys' letter, to the surprise of everyone in the room. However, she only did it so that Prys could finally solve the mystery of the day for himself, and he does. The letter itself was a birthday card from her, thanking him for being the best detective in Llan-ar-goll-en.
- Pink Heroine: Ceri has pink spots, a dark pink collar and a dark pink bow at the top of her hat, and is the one who cracks most of the mysteries in the village.
- The Smart Guy: She's more sensible than Prys ar Frys, thinking things through while Prys ar Frys jumps to conclusions.
- Talking Animal: Along with Ianto and her cousin Caradog.
- Women Are Wiser: This female dog is wiser than her male partner, Prys.
