Main Characters

    Roxie McTerrier

Voiced by: Diana Kaarina

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/roxie_mcterrier_id_s1e14.png

"I like hanging out and saying "Hi!" to new pets!"

Roxie McTerrier is a Boston Terrier who is unofficially The Leader of her friends.

  • Break the Cutie: Oh, and how. The episode "Homesick as a Dog" is about Roxie losing her key to the Human World, thus preventing her from seeing her owner Tessa for a week at best, a month at worst. She is depressed for nearly most of the episode, and nothing her friends do to entertain her in the meanwhile help at all. She does eventually find the key at the end of the episode, and sees her owner again however.
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: More than a little dotty.
  • Comically Missing the Point:
    • In "Pet, Peeved", while asking Edie for advice on how to get Jade to like her more, Roxie offhandedly manages eating a pillow and throwing it up on Jade's couch. After giving her some advice, Edie points out that Roxie really shouldn't eat pillows if they upset her stomach. Roxie laughs at this suggestion, believing Edie is joking.
    • In "Crystal Fever", she and the others follow Jade to a crystal convention, with Roxie coming to the conclusion that Jade is a collector... of the little pouches the crystals are kept in.
  • Genki Girl: Very energetic and fun-loving.
  • The Idealist: In "A Pet's Best Friend Is...", she expressed the belief that all pets are good. Her experience with Petulah and her friends tested that belief.
  • Motor Mouth: She talks a lot.
  • No Sense of Personal Space: She likes to get close to her friends.
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: She uses these in "The Imitation Game" to convince Trip to talk with Quincy about stopping his impression of Edie.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She has a crush on Austin Goldenpup, who happens to be one of the nicest, kindest pets in Paw-Tucket.

    Jade Catkin

Voiced by: Ingrid Nilson

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jade_catkin_id_s1e11.png

Jade Catkin is Roxie's roommate in Paw-Tucket, a bombay cat who usually goes in Sarcasm Mode.

  • Born Lucky: She's noted to have incredibly good luck to the point that other puts tried to get to rub off them by rubbing her head.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: Probably the smartest, most on the ball character on the show. Also, the laziest.
  • Cats Are Snarkers: She often dishes out sarcastic comments.
  • Cats Hate Water: As seen in "Call of the Mild" and "Bev on the Edge", she can't stand getting wet. This could be a continuity error as in "Four Left Feet", she actually liked getting wet.
  • Guilty Pleasures: In "Crystal Fever", she is revealed to be a crystal collector, something she wishes to keep secret from her friends.
  • Innocently Insensitive: In "Pet, Peeved", Jade unknowingly hurts Roxie's feelings by pushing over a cake Roxie made for her. She later points out that, as a cat, this is something she does.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She may put on a Cats Are Snarkers persona most of the time, but ultimately looks out for her friends.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: In "The Wheel Deal", she hopes to see some "sideshow oddities" at the carnival, and enjoys the sight of her distorted reflection in a funhouse mirror.
  • Not So Stoic: There are moments when her deadpan personality falters, like in "Let It Go (Not The Hit Song) when she lost her beloved kittenhood toy, Tic Toc.
  • Old Shame: "Four Left Feet" reveals that, unlike most cats, Jade is incapable of landing on her feet.
  • Perky Goth: Despite her dark fur and lack of emotion, she can be quite energetic and involved with her friends' activities.
  • You Are the New Trend: In "Copycats, Copy-Dogs & Copy-Iguanas", the scarf she made out of an old pillow ends up becoming a fashion sensation, leaving her suffering lots of unwanted attention.

    Trip Hamston

Voiced by: Travis Turner

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/trip_hamston_id_s1e16.png

Trip Hamston (originally named Trip Hamsta) is a hamster who fancies himself a daredevil and at times, a rapper.

    Quincy Goatee

Voiced by: Kyle Rideout

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/quincy_goatee_id_s1e5.png

Quincy Goatee is a pygmy goat who is easily frightened.

  • Birds of a Feather: In "All Decked Out", Quincy quickly clicks with Petunia Cloghoof, a female goat who is just as safety conscious as he is.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: He first appeared in the webisode "Welcome to Spin Class".
  • Extreme Omni-Goat: Averted. He is only ever seen eating flowers and other kinds of plants.
  • Hidden Depths:
    • In "Pitch Im-Purr-Fect", he is shown to be a skilled tapdancer.
    • In "The Imitation Game", he proves himself to be a decent impressionist.
  • Hollywood Tone-Deaf: In "Pitch Im-Purr-Fect", Quincy, despite his claims, turns out to be a terrible singer (to Edie's horror, as she had just asked him to be part of her singing group).
  • Innocently Insensitive: In "The Imitation Game", Quincy is unaware that his imitation of Edie is making her into a laughing stock around Paw-Tucket.
  • Lovable Coward: He's easily frightened (and his response to that fright is usually Fainting), but he's such a Nice Guy that his friends rarely hold it against him.
  • "Metaphor" Is My Middle Name: In "Pitch Im-Purr-Fect", Edie asks him to find a comically large bird swing (in order to keep him out of rehearsals). Quincy responds by saying that "comically large bird swing" is his middle name.
  • Nervous Wreck: He often worries about safety, and doesn't handle being in dangerous situations well.
  • Those Two Guys: He and Trip are the only males among their group of friends, and often seen together.

    Edie Von Keet

Voiced by: Lili Beaudoin

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/edie_von_keet_id_s1e2.png

Edie Von Keet is a parakeet who longs to be an actress, inspired by her 14-year-old owner.

  • Becoming the Mask: "Fine Feathered Fortune Teller" shows that she sometimes gets too into an acting role, resulting in her actually believing that's who she is. In one instance, after playing an explorer, she started acting like a real explorer, "discovering" things all over Paw-Tucket.
  • Drama Queen: She practically runs on this trope, being openly showy and overly emotional in most situations.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: She's prone to becoming jealous if one of her friends gains the fame she craves.
  • Interspecies Romance: She seeks this with a visiting royal corgi, Bertram Corgiwaddles, in "All Decked Out", but is unable to so much as gain his attention.
  • My Instincts Are Showing: She can be easily entranced by her own reflection, and has a habit of flying into windows and glass doors (in real life, birds can't see glass).
  • Skewed Priorities: Her desire for fame sometimes results in this, such as in "So Trip Thinks He Can Dance"; when a video of Trip dancing badly goes viral, she is more concerned with the fact that Trip got a viral video before her than Trip's potential humiliation.

    Bev Gilturtle

Voiced by: Rhona Rees

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bev_gilturtle_id_s1e4.png

Bev Gilturtle is a box turtle who wants to entertain the other pets.

  • Breakout Character: The webisodes center around her.
  • Fangirl: She is one for Savannah Cheetaby. During an interview with her in one of the webisodes, she spent the whole time answering the audience's questions about Savannah, due to knowing everything about her.
  • Genki Girl: Not to the same extent as Roxie, but she loves having fun.
  • Outdoorsy Gal: As shown in "Call of the Mild" and "Bev on the Edge", she has a fondness for outdoor activities.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: Her playful, fun-loving personality sets her up as this.
  • Talk Show: She has one in the webisodes: "Late Night with Bev".

Petula's Posse

    Petula Woolwright

Voiced by: Diana Kaarina

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/petula_woolright_id_s1e6.png

Petula Woolwright is a sheep, and the main antagonist of the series.

  • Alpha Bitch: She and her friends are described as "the worst snobs in Paw-Tucket" by Jade.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: A literal example. In the first episode alone, she and her friends pretend to be nice to Roxie to get what they want, then throw a destructive party pop star Savannah Cheetaby's home (which Roxie happens to be looking after while Savannah is away), and insult Roxie when she tries to stop them.
  • False Friend: In "A Pet's Best Friend Is...", Petula and her gang pretend to befriend Roxie so they can have a party at Savannah's home.
  • Villains Out Shopping: In "The Big Sleep-Over". Despite inviting herself to Roxie's sleepover, she doesn't cause any trouble at all while she's there, willingly going along with the group's activities.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Her soft, sweet-sounding voice serves to mask what a rotten individual she really is.

    Sweetie Pom Pom

Voiced by: Brittney Wilson

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sweetie_pom_pompng.png

Sweetie Pom Pom is a pomeranian, and Petula's closest friend.

  • Beta Bitch: She is seen with Petula more often than not, but can sometimes cook up nasty schemes of her own.
  • Blackmail: In "Four Left Feet" When she overhears that Jade can't land on her feet, Roxie begs her not to tell, leading to Sweetie forcing her to do all kinds of humiliating things for her amusement.
  • Ironic Name: She, similarly to her posse, is NOT sweet in the slightest.

    Gavin Chamelle

Voiced by: Alessandro Juliani

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gavin_chamellepng.png

Gavin Chamelle is a chameleon.

  • A Day in the Limelight: He receives focus in "Hidden Treasures & Guilty Pleasures" and "Clear The Fear".
  • Friendly Enemy: He starts hanging out with Edie in "Hidden Treasures & Guilty Pleasures", and is friendly with Quincy in "Clear The Fear".
  • Fan Boy: He and Edie bond over a shared love of a series of pirate films, films that aren't as popular within their own usual circles of friends.
  • Reptiles Are Abhorrent: He is a chameleon, and is just as rotten as the others (although later episodes show a nicer side to him).
  • Wall Crawl: As you'd expect from a chameleon, he can walk on walls, and even ceilings.

    Mitchell Snailford

Voiced by: Ian Hanlin

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mitchell_snailford.png

Mitchell Snailford is a snail.

  • The Ditz: His mind is as slow as his body, resulting in him not immediately catching on when the others are pretending to be nice to Roxie.
  • Non-Mammalian Hair: He has a tuft of fur on the top of his head.

Recurring Characters

    Savannah Cheetaby

Voiced by: Bethany Brown

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/savannah_cheetaby_id_s1e1.png

Savannah Cheetaby is a cheetah, and the biggest pop star in Paw-Tucket.

  • Advertised Extra: Although she has some prominent appearances in the Webisodes, appears in the theme song, and is featured in official images of the main cast, she only appeared in one episode during the first half of the first season (and only briefly, as she called in Roxie to housesit for her while she was away).
  • Fangirl: Ironically revealed to be one for Bev, wanting her to sign a "Late Night with Bev" t-shirt.
  • Nice Girl: She's very friendly and down-to-earth, in spite of her status as a famous pop star.
  • You Don't Look Like You: When she finally makes a return appearance, she has a completely different color scheme.

    Mister Yut

Voiced by: Vincent Tong

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mister_yut_id_s1e2.png

Mister Yut is a Siamese fighting fish, and the owner of the titular pet shop.

    Scoot Racoonerson

Voiced by: Vincent Tong

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scoot_racoonerson_id_s1e3.png

Scoot Racoonerson is a raccoon.

  • Bag of Holding: He has a "junk bag" containing numerous random items he's scavenged, some of which can come in handy.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: In his first appearance, he knowingly conned other pets, and quickly developed an emnity with Jade. But when the two were stuck on the ferris wheel together, he defended her from Petula and Sweetie's insults.
  • Lovable Rogue: He first appears in "The Wheel Deal", conning pets with a phony fortune teller act, with Jade suspecting that he somehow managed to con his way into Paw-Tucket (since most humans don't keep raccoons as pets). The two later get trapped on the ferris wheel together, with Jade learning that Scoot isn't so bad, and was allowed access to Paw-Tucket after saving someone's pet dog from eating something that would have poisoned it.
  • Sticky Fingers: He has a habit of taking whatever catches his eye.

    Austin Goldenpup

Voiced by: Vincent Tong

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/austin_goldenpup_id_s1e8_2.png

  • Good Is Dumb: He's one of the nicest characters on the show. Also one of the dumbest.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: He is a golden retriever, and a very Nice Guy.
  • Lovable Jock: "The Fast and the Fur-ious" shows him as being into sports.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: He is dismayed when he discovers that he had been stealing other pets' stuff in his sleep.
  • Nice Guy: One of the nicest, friendliest pets in Paw-Tucket.
  • Sleepwalking: In "In The Steal of the Night", it is eventually revealed that Austin is the one behind all the thefts, having been influenced by his recent "fetching" classes to gather the objects up in his sleep and bring them to a lumberjack statue (which happens to resemble his owner) at the Paw-Tucket golf course.
  • Sixth Ranger: He's not featured in promotional materials, but if the group is hanging out with another pet, it's likely to be him.

    Mayor Perrito

Voiced by: Alessandro Juliani

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mayor_perrito.png

Mayor Perrito is a chihuahua, and the self-appointed mayor of Paw-Tucket.

  • The Chains of Commanding: In "Mayor May-Not", the stress of having to keep everyone in Paw-Tucket happy starts to get to him, to the point where he needs a vacation.
  • Dub Name Change:
    • Borgmester Perrito in Danish.
    • Maire Perrito in French.
    • Ordfører Perrito in Norwegian.
    • Borgmästarn Perrito in Swedish.
  • His Name Really Is "Barkeep": "Mayor" is actually part of his name. He became mayor of Paw-Tucket because of this.
  • Meaningful Name: Invoked. He used the fact that "Mayor" is part of his name to appoint himself mayor of Paw-Tucket.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Despite essentially taking the leadership position for himself, he is a fair and understanding mayor.

Voiced by: Peter New

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/roget_lapin.jpg

Roget Lapin is a hare Petula's group get to run the race in "The Fast and the Fur-ious".

  • Attention Whore: He is obsessed with being admired for his skills, to the point where he was outraged that no-one was paying attention to him for actually winning the race (instead focusing on the Littlest Six's teamwork).
  • French Jerk: He talks down to his competition, arrogantly believing his speed makes them better than him.
  • Non-Indicative Name: His surname is French for "Rabbit", even though he's a hare, not a rabbit.
  • Shout-Out: His name is French for "Roger Rabbit".
  • Sixth Ranger: Briefly serves as one for Petula's group.

    Wisteria Persella

Voiced by: Rebecca Shoichet

Wisteria is a persian cat and life coach who appears in "Slow Your Beau."

  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While she is mostly unpleasant off-camera, she at least recognizes the value of Bev's ideas, and politely asks if she can use them on her show.
  • Nice Character, Mean Actor: She is nice and friendly on camera, but pushy and demanding in real life.

    Mabel
