Lanayru Province
Originally established as a small vassal state through the union of Hylian and Zora marriages, Lanayru Province quickly became an economic juggernaut that financially rivaled larger empires of the world. The bountiful resources of their homeland allowed for rapid wealth, but made the small and young nation a prime target for constant invasions at the hands of greedy and hungry forces.
General
- Adaptational Modesty: Neither versions of the Zora they're based on are fond of wearing any clothes, so naturally, they all qualify.
- Composite Character: From a visual standpoint, they take about equal inspiration from the Zora of Twilight Princess and Breath of the Wild.
- Decomposite Character: They are not the same Zora as the ones from Ocarina of Time or the Link games.
- Gender-Equal Ensemble: The Lanayru Province's heroes consist of three men and three women.
Lanayru Heroes
Prince Ralis
Ralis, the Silver Prince
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- Age Lift: A young boy in Twilight Princess, but a young adult in Hyrule Conquest.
- Horse of a Different Color: Rides an Arach.
- Mythology Gag: His association with Arachs was intended to reference a scene from Hyrule Total War in which he falls (well, jumps) into an Arach pit. This made sense when Hyrule Conquest was intended to continue that story, but may now seem out of the blue for fans not familiar with that project.
Sidon
Sidon, Prince of Lanayru
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Animal Motifs: More emphasis is placed on his shark features, with his teeth even being mentioned in the in-game description.
- Named by the Adaptation: Had Only One Name in Breath of the Wild. Hyrule Conquest establishes that his dad's name is his surname, making him Sidon du Dorephan.
Aydia
Aydia, Supreme Province General
- First Appearance: Hyrule: Total War
- Adaptational Job Change: Downplayed, since the in-game description mentions her being a former marshal. However, she never seemingly reached the general position in Hyrule Total War.
- Bling of War: Decked out in silver armor.
- Canon Foreigner: Has not appeared in any of the canon games, though logically, Mipha and Sidon had to have a mother.
- Related in the Adaptation: Did not have any known family in Hyrule Total War, much less Mipha, Sidon and Dorephan.
- Rugged Scar: Sports a couple on her face.
- Ugly Guy, Hot Wife: The hot wife to Dorephan's ugly guy.
Mipha
Mipha, the Gyorgslayer
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Named by the Adaptation: Had Only One Name in Breath of the Wild. Hyrule Conquest establishes that her dad's name is his surname, making her Mipha du Dorephan.
- The Ugly Guy's Hot Daughter: Naturally, since her father is Dorephan.
Queen Rutela
Rutela, Queen of Lanayru Province
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- Adaptational Modesty: Wears some actual clothes in her remade appearance.
- Adaptational Mundanity: She doesn't possess the crazy fin dress or her mermaid tail, instead simply possessing the same fins and feet other Zora do. Part of this has to do with her having to walk on the ground and wear armor, coupled with Anthropomorphic Shift.
Duke Dorephan
Duke Dorephan, Lord of Lanayru
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Adaptational Villainy: According to his description, he's plotting behind the backs of Farkos and Rutela.
- Adaptational Wimp: In Breath of the Wild, he was a King with Stout Strength that once protected Sidon from a Guardian. In Hyrule Conquest, he's a scheming wimp who requires a battle crab to carry him around.
- Decomposite Character: Before he got added into the game, it was Farkos who rode the crab. With Dorephan now in the game, he rides a Hydrophant instead.
- Fat Bastard: Like other Zora Kings, he's of large size and questionable character.
- Horse of a Different Color: Rides a giant crab.
- Named by the Adaptation: Downplayed. He has Only One Name in Breath of the Wild, but Hyrule Conquest gives him the first name "Ploymus" (actually the name of a mountain in the original game).
Spirit of Lanayru
The Spirit of Lanayru
