Deku Scrubs

The Kingdom of the Deku Scrubs were a loose collection of feudal territories deep within the southern reaches of Faron Woods. Known for their irrational bursts of anger and their perpetual short-man's complex, large gatherings of these normally comical forest dwellers could result in terrifying descruction and chaos when unleashed on Hyrule.

• Plant Person: They are made of wood and bark rather than flesh and blood.

• Canon Foreigner: Sort of. They're based on Agitha's giant beetles from Hyrule Warriors, who were themselves canon foreigners vaguely based on collectible beetles in Twilight Princess.
