Fairies of Tarm
Perhaps one of Hyrule's greatest mysteries, Fairies were mythical and reclusive beings that despite being found in all corners of the world they were rarely if ever seen. Most of the time the Fairies would go about on their own with little unity or guidance, tending to nature or causing mischief when no one was looking. As the land cried out in pain however, these wild principles would gather together and cause a lot more than a little mischief.

- Seasonal Baggage: They can only be trained in the winter.
- Stereotype Flip: Half of the winter units are associated with fire. Perhaps justified in that they aren't Fairies of winter, but rather those that provide help and shelter in winter. However, the Great Crystal Fairy and Mistwalker are indeed icy.
Fairy Heroes
Navi
Navi
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- Fairy Companion: To Link.
- Mysterious Past: Nothing is really known of Navi prior to her arrival in Kokiri Forest.
Ciela
Ciela
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Venus
Venus
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
- Public Domain Character: Possibly. In-game descriptions claim she travels around the world competing in beauty contests with women, much like Venus/Aphrodite in the Illiad.
- Seasonal Baggage: She's associated with spring.
Unique Unit: Great Fairy Sword
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
- Flying Weapon: Quite an upgrade from its original appearance two decades prior.
Sekaia
Sekaia, the Fairy of Wind
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- Friend to All Children: Alleged to only appear to children and to protect them from harm.
- Godiva Hair: She's topless, but her hair covers her breasts.
- Named In The Adaptation: Twilight Princess does not give her a name, only the title of the Fairy of Winds. Here, she's named Sekaia.
- Seasonal Baggage: She's associated with summer.
Unique Unit: Gale Boomerang
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- Battle Boomerang: None other than the one and (not) only Gale Boomerang from Twilight Princess.
- Precision-Guided Boomerang: Justified as they are in fact possessed by spirits.
Xana
Xana, Queen of the Stray Fairies
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- Inexplicably Identical Individuals: She is based on one of the Fairies from Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask, though it's never stated which one. The fact that the actual Great Fairy unit looks the exact same as her doesn't help.
- Named In The Adaptation: None of the Fairies from Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask have names in the original.
- Public Domain Character: Xana (or sometimes Xanas) is a character from Asturian mythology.
- Seasonal Baggage: She's associated with autumn.
Unique Unit: Zirro
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Valfi
Valfi, Queen of all Fairies
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
- Chrome Champion: Especially with the remodel which gives her a notable sheen.
- Empty Eyes: There's nothing at all inside her eyesockets. They are just creases on her face.
- Named In The Adaptation: Goes unnamed in The Wind Waker, but has her own name here.
- Seasonal Baggage: She's associated with winter.
- Significant Name Overlap: Seemingly to Fi, which doubles as a Mythology Gag, since Fi was largely based off the Fairy Queen's design.
Unique Unit: Mistwalker
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Maku Tree of Holodrum
Maku Tree of Holodrum
- First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
- No Name Given: Just like in his original appearance, he is simply the Maku Tree of Holodrum.
- The One Guy: Although a titan rather than a hero, the Maku Tree is the only male character of the Fairies of Tarm.
