Protagonist

    Ruin Dimidium

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kf2_ruin.jpg
He'll ruin you if you mess with him

The main character. Ruin graduated from the Granbury Royal Abbey with the lowest scores in which people looked down upon him as a loser. To protect the Abbey's image, Ruin is sent off to the backwater town of Boobshire to fade into obscurity. Things take a turn for the better when Ruin gets tasked with stopping an invading orc army threatening to destroy Boobshire.

  • Accidental Pornomancer: The reason Ruin is so good at pleasuring every woman he has sex with. He's the last of a tribe of powerful demons known as the Breast Fondlers.
  • Blow You Away: For some reason, Ruin has very powerful sneezes that can cause concentrated gusts of wind. It was how he was able to overcome Drums' gang of orcs.
  • Eyes Out of Sight: His hair is always covering his eyes.
  • Has a Type: Since Ruin is the last of the Breast Fondlers Tribe, he has a preference to big-breasted ladies.
  • Humble Hero: Unlike Zeminario and especially Haynes, Ruin does not flaunt his successes or let it go to his head.
  • Meaningful Name: Ruin's detractors mock that his name represents calamity for himself and that he'll never amount to anything because of his status. In reality, the "ruin" in Ruin's name is that he brings ruin to those who try to conspire against him.
  • Rags to Riches: Started off as a failed graduate and potentially ends being the King of Hillsland.
  • Smarter Than They Look: Even if Ruin graduated from the Royal Abbey with the lowest grades, it doesn't mean he's the dunce everyone else assumes he is. He was able to draft a fair law that stabilized the human and demon population which reduced crimes considerably and use splendid battle tactics that won him the victory in the military simulation of the recommendare exam.

Ruin's Harem

    Zebia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zebia.jpg

  • Bust: 96cm G-cup
  • Waist: 60cm
  • Hips: 90cm

A dark elf assassin hired as a mercenary by the orcs.

  • Action Girl: Zebia is a talented and feared swordswoman.
  • Act of True Love: In her ending, after Sex for Solace with Ruin gets her pregnant, she decides to avoid entangling him too much in her life and get an abortion, something which is said to be extremely dangerous for dark elves. Horrified, Ruin insists on making an honest woman out of her instead.
  • Ambiguously Brown: She's a dark elf.
  • Good Girls Avoid Abortion: Zigzagged. She does plan to abort her child with Ruin on her story route rather than catch him in The Baby Trap, but when he finds out (and also that abortions are extremely hazardous and risky for dark elven women), he insists that they instead get married.
  • Leotard of Power: Her manner of dress is a grey thong leotard.
  • Mystical White Hair: She's a dark elf with white hair.
  • Sex–Face Turn: Though both were under the effects of an aphrodisiac, Ruin has sex with a shackled Zebia in a dungeon cell where she couldn't resist him. Despite essentially being raped, Zebia soon becomes Ruin's loyal ally as well as self-proclaimed "wife".
  • Sex Slave: Proclaims herself to be Ruin's after defecting to his side, albeit a bit too proudly.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Although at the start of the game she presents herself as a fierce and deadly warrior who refuses to let the bandits who've hired her as a mercenary harass her or treat her like a sex object, after she falls for Ruin she reveals a sweet and dreamy side of herself that's always fantasizing about lovey-dovey romance, even as she remains a bit of a hard-nosed mercenary with everyone else.
  • Tsundere: The other kind; she's always sweet and lovey-dovey to Ruin but can be harsh and cold with others, whether or not they're enemies.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Zebia would beat the crap out of anyone who demeans and disrespects Ruin. In the True Harem route, Zebia was the one who ultimately kills Haynes.

    Elysia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/elysia_9.jpg

  • Bust: 93cm F-cup
  • Waist: 53cm
  • Hips: 83cm

An elven princess who also serves as the personal aide/bodyguard to Shaharl.

  • Covert Pervert: Elysia will try to act wholesome, but she desires sex with Ruin just as much as the other ladies do.
  • Cuteness Proximity: She loves fuzzy things, even the monstrous cyclopes near Ruin's castle. It turns out her brother's much the same way.
  • Making Love in All the Wrong Places: Downplayed. Elysia snuck into Ruin's room in an assassination attempt to test his capabilities of being a prefect. Zebia comes and defends him against her where they soon locked swords. Moments later, Ruin sneaks up behind Elysia and proceeds to grope and fondle her breasts while she was in the middle of pushing Zebia back. Elysia orgasms from the pleasure in the middle of the battle that she quickly beats a hasty retreat, no longer in the mood to fight.
  • Odd Friendship: On her route, she and Zebia become close friends, beginning to mend the rift between elves and dark elves after both of them marry the same man.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: She may be the Elven princess, but Elysia is also the loyal bodyguard of Shaharl (and later Ruin).
  • Tsundere: Elysia would often deny wanting to have anything to do with Ruin, but would visibly show signs of jealousy when he bangs the other ladies, sometimes in her presence. Shaharl teases that Elysia should have sex with Ruin since it feels good, but she's too stubborn and embarrassed to comply.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Shaharl, moreso than to her own father whom she's at odds with. Later to Ruin.

    Shaharl
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shaharl.jpg

  • Bust: 104cm I-cup
  • Waist: 55cm
  • Hips: 92cm

The Duchess of Molgrey and a succubus who commands great influence and respect. She forsees great things in Ruin's future.

  • Crazy-Prepared: Shaharl managed to figure out enough of Archiv's plan to use a maid to frame Ruin with a False Rape Accusation that she locked a chastity belt on Ruin beforehand. Due to this, the maid and her cohort were busted for intentional defamation and imprisoned.
  • Making Love in All the Wrong Places: Shaharl comes to visit Ruin at Boobshire castle for a supposed "routine check" and proceeds to give him a boobjob right in front of the other soldiers.
  • Mythology Gag: After her daughter, Shamsiel, is born. Shaharl predicts that her newborn will one day grow up into a beauty, then later fall in love and marry a man much like her father, Ruin, AKA a man with a boob fetish. That's exactly what Shamsiel does after getting together with Lute some centuries later.
  • Of Corsets Sexy: Shaharl's top is an elaborate open-front corset with trailing tails.
  • Succubi and Incubi: She is a succubus.
  • Trickster Mentor: Always subtly guides Ruin down a path that would lead him to greatness.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Angrily calls out Galahad II for his idiotic decisions.
    • First, Shaharl gets pissed when Galahad II banished Ruin for supposedly raping a random maid in his room without bothering to get his facts straight.
    • And again, Shaharl gets livid with Galahad II for deciding to name Haynes as his official heir despite her warnings about what he had learned about Ruin that he's the last surviving member of a special race of demons he unjustly caused the genocide of. Despite Shaharl's assurances that Ruin isn't a vengeful person and reminding him not to let fear overtake him as part of the clauses of his curse, Galahad's stupidly short-sighted mindset over-rode his better judgment, as it did before.

    Nadine
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nadine_9.jpg

  • Bust: 111cm L-cup
  • Waist: 63cm
  • Hips: 95cm

The good Queen of Hillsland known for her large breasts and kind demeanor.

    Lorelia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lorelia_8.jpg

Voiced by: Kanan aka Akane Sanada (Japanese)

  • Bust: 99cm H-cup
  • Waist: 56cm
  • Hips: 89cm

A mermaid who longs to grow legs as part of her coming of age.

  • Adaptation Expansion: Was subject to this in the very first side-disc released for the game, which focused on expanding her mutual ending with Zebia, and the Updated Re-release gave her her own ending and more screentime.
  • Blackmail: Forced to aid a plot against Ruin by threats on her life from the other maids.
  • Curtains Match the Windows: Lorelia has aqua blue hair and eyes.
  • Innocent Fanservice Girl: After getting legs, Lorelia excitedly runs around with her new limbs then makes a beeline towards the capital to apply for work at the castle. At the time, she forgets she was completely naked.
  • Naked on Arrival: Once Lorelia grows legs.
  • Our Mermaids Are Different: According to merfolk customs, they're a true merfolk once they grow legs. Lorelia gained the ability to turn human after all other attempts to do so failed. How? By getting a titjob from Ruin.
  • Tail Slap: Lorelia's mode of attack is to use her tail to whack others unconscious when she switches to mermaid form. Her tail slap was also strong enough to take out Assassins X and Y, the most dangerous opposition so far.
  • Water Is Womanly: Well, she IS a mermaid after all.

Hillsland Royals & Government

    Galahad II
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/galahad_1.jpg

King of Hillsland.

  • Did Not Think This Through: Galahad's biggest bad habit that got him into his predicament. After the end of the Recomendare Exam, Ruin scored the highest in despite his low ranking at the Royal Abbey while Zeminario and especially Haynes failed rock bottom, proving without a doubt he is the most worthy and eligible to become the next king. However, after being informed by Archiv that Ruin is the last remaining survivor of the Breast Fondlers, a demon tribe that Galahad had unjustly killed off due to false facts, Galahad, in a moment of weakness, named Haynes as the "winner" out of irrational fear that Ruin will order his execution for what he did once he ascends the throne. This was AFTER Shaharl assured Galahad that he had nothing to worry about as Ruin isn't a vengeful person and warned him about not letting fear overtake him since it made him make bad decisions in the past. In a pathetic attempt to extend his life, Galahad had damned his kingdom to the tyrannical rule of his corrupt son, which lead to the immediate imprisonment of Ruin and his allies, including Galahad himself where it is likely he'll be executed by his own son anyway.
  • Emasculated Cuckold: Defied. Political enemies attempt to turn Galahad II against Ruin by exposing his affair with the queen and framing him for acts of sexual predation. After the latter is shown to be false, the king admits that he doesn't mind if the queen does take a man like Ruin as a lover, given his own predicament.
  • Happily Married: While the game never shies away from portraying Galahad II as a deeply-flawed king, his relationship with Queen Nadine is never shown to be negative or abusive. He cares about her and values her advice, and although a curse has robbed him of both the ability and the desire to be with her physically, he gives her his blessing to take a lover if she wants because he knows, as a passionate woman with thick daemon blood, it's hard on her not to. Perhaps the best testament to this is that, despite this, she doesn't until Ruin.
  • Out with a Bang: Among many other curses he's under, Galahad II will die if he ever has sex with a woman. Fortunately, this seems to have come with a withering interest in sex generally, but he knows it makes life hard on his queen.
  • A Tragedy of Impulsiveness: Seems to be Galahad's biggest Fatal Flaw. First, he lead the genocide of an innocent tribe of demons over a crime they didn't commit (with Ruin being the sole survivor). Next, he ordered the execution of an innocent dwarf of a crime he didn't commit, which Shaharl called him out on but insists that he's right. The dwarf then cursed the king before death that caused all his possible heirs to die mysteriously, that he would die should he have any relations with any woman, he would die within a set time if an heir wasn't named, and would die if fear overtakes his heart. True to the dwarf's word, the curse held firm on Galahad for his foolishness.

    Archiv
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/archiv.jpg

Archbishop of the Church of the Holy Rood.

  • Fantastic Racism: Has a strong disdain for demons, which is why Archiv plans to expand the power of the Church of Holy Rood to route them. This is also why he doesn't get along with Shaharl, a succubus, and sees her as an obstacle for his goals.
  • Irrational Hatred: Archiv has an unjust hate for Ruin as he sees him as a disgrace just because he scored last in the Royal Abbey that he teaches at. He also outright refuses to acknowledge any of Ruin's accomplishments, seeing them as nothing but "flukes", and sticks to his stand that Ruin should just stay out of the way for a "real ruler" like Haynes.
  • Sinister Minister: He may be a man of the cloth, but Archiv is a corrupt religious authority who is anything but saintly, willing to stoop to whatever means necessary to further his own goals.

    Elfenbein
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/elfenbein.jpg

Prime Minister of Hillsland.

  • Good Is Not Nice: He's a cold and logical person, but he acts with his kingdom's best interests in mind. He does mellow out some on the Harem Route.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: He doesn't have a high opinion of Ruin's abilities, but his objections are always based in logic and political considerations. After the prince's attempted coup, he remains around to teach his protégé.
  • Red Herring: The prime minister in the original title was a scheming Big Bad, as was Fronce's in the sequel. Elfenbein being a genuinely decent and loyal guy is a bit of a twist, especially given he's a bit of a hard-ass at the start of the game and has a low opinion of Ruin.

    Haynes
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/haynes.jpg

Prince, and recomendare under Archiv.

  • Bait the Dog: He doesn't come off as a good person in other routes, but he seems like a harmless and lazy hedonist. It's only on the True Harem route that he has a realistic chance to become king, and his true colors start to show.
  • Big Bad: Of the True Harem route.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: He is narcissistic and opportunistic enough to ditch longtime allies or sell out his country if it means that he moves up in the world. While he does take other people's loyalties into account in his machinations, moral compasses which might shift those loyalties, as well as emotional links between people whom he does not consider important enough to think about, are lost on him.
Guard: You executed my friend just because he let a single ghoul escape. My friend, who had married and become a father only recently. You killed him.
Haynes: Are you turning on me just because of that?!
  • General Failure: During the military simulation of the recomendare exam, Haynes shows he is an incompetent in leading troops as he doesn't even bother to work with Ruin or Zeminario, arrogantly saying they'd slow him down and that it's his way or no way. What he winds up doing was getting nearly all his troops killed in an ambush, only to get his worthless ass saved by Ruin's troops.
  • Hate Sink: Much like Bobon, Haynes is nothing but a jealous self-absorbed prick with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. He acts like a self-entitled asshole to everyone around him demanding respect since he's a prince. Surprisingly, everyone was happy after Haynes and Archiv get killed in the True Harem Ending.
  • Royal Brat: Haynes may be a prince, but he's also a self-entitled brat.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Ruin goes out of his way to save his life, something only his unique daemonic heritage could've done. Haynes repays the favor by intriguing against him and trying to have him killed. Later, after Ruin tries to pardon him, he fakes being overtaken by emotion to try to stab him to death.

    Zeminario
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zeminario.jpg

The top graduate of the Royal Abbey and recomendare under Elfenbein.

  • Heel–Face Turn: In the True Harem route, Zeminario helped free Shaharl from a magic circle binding her in order to save Ruin.
  • A Lighter Shade of Grey: Zeminario has got some ego problems, but he's definitely the better choice between himself and Haynes. In endings where Ruin settles down with someone else and never gets his name in the hat for the race to the throne, Zeminario wins out and it's never suggested he's a bad king or a tyrant.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: Zeminario wears glasses as is the top of his class while in the Abbey.
  • Unfit for Greatness: Zeminario is ultimately book-smart rather than worldly-wise, and he just doesn't have Ruin's creativity or people skills. On routes where Ruin never becomes a recomendare, Zeminario has the chops to beat out Haynes, and it's suggested he'll be a fine, if unspectacular, king.

    Erwin
The castellan aide of Nonshire castle tasked with helping prospective prefects of the area.

Elves

    Istvan I
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/istvan.jpg

King of the elven kingdom.

  • Big Bad: Of the branch where Ruin becomes castellan of Boobshire.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He's all smiles and kindness to Ruin's face, but in private and behind his back he turns out to be racist against humans and very jealous of his daughter's chastity.
  • Retired Monster: He was once a ruthless and brutal conqueror and politician, and while he's gotten too old to pick up a sword and fight any longer, he's lost none of his cunning or capacity for cold betrayal.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: He asks Ruin to save his daughter Elysia's life by sucking out a poison (from her breasts) which is lethal to elves but harmless to anyone with demon blood. Ruin agrees. Two minutes later, Istvan reveals to Larcen that he was lying about the poison being harmless to all demons, then tells Larcen to kill Ruin if the poison doesn't.

    Gwendolen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gwendolen.jpg

Duke of the elven kingdom.

    Larcen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/larcen.jpg

Knight captain of the elven kingdom.

    Lefay
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lefay_0.jpg

Youngest prince of the elven kingdom and Elysia's younger brother.

  • Big Sister Worship: Lefay greatly admires his sister, Elysia, and would always ask about her exploits.

Merfolk

    Rusalka
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rusalka_5.jpg

The over-protective father of Lorelia.

  • Ambiguously Brown: Rusalka is dark-skinned, which is odd considering his daughter is fair-skinned.
  • Eyepatch of Power: Wears an eyepatch, but it doesn't hamper his fighting skills.
  • Making a Splash: Being a merfolk, Rusalka has water powers. He can basically teleport to smaller sources of water.

Others

    Badums

A large orc who is the twin brother of Drum.

  • Avenging the Villain: Started off this way as he was after Ruin for causing the arrest and execution of his brother Drums.
  • Drill Sergeant Nasty: Becomes the Boobshire captain of the guards. Badums goes especially hard on the ex-Molgrey soldiers transferred there who disrespected Ruin back at the capital and tried to execute him in secret under Archiv's orders.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Badums defected to Ruin's side when he stopped his execution not to mention his intrigue of Ruin not being alarmed when Badums had a perfectly good opportunity to take revenge on him.
  • Redeeming Replacement: He himself admits that Drums was kind of a jerk who deserved what he got, but still feels honor-bound as his brother to do something about his death. Once he actually meets and befriends Ruin, he proves to be a fundamentally clever and decent person.

    Drums

A large orc bandit wrecking havoc on Boobshire Town.

  • Warmup Boss: Was the first threat Ruin had to deal with.

    Kobold Soldiers

A unit of daemonic soldiers in Boobshire. Underpaid and mistreated, they're in a sorry state before Ruin gets assigned to their position.

  • Because You Were Nice to Me: After Ruin is almost killed by their decision to leave him unguarded, and Ruin improbably turns it around into a huge triumph, the soldiers are trembling at the thought of him exposing what they've done and taking revenge. When he instead lies about their involvement and insists on sharing the fruits of his success with them, they, stunned by his good grace and fully aware they do not deserve it, burst into tears, and from that moment on are his most loyal and stalwart allies.
  • No Name Given: Their leader is Ruin's major sidekick for much of the game, but he's never given a name beyond "A."
  • Undying Loyalty: After Ruin chooses to be kind and share his success with them instead of taking revenge for their hazing and nearly-lethal mistreatment, the kobold soldiers of Boobshire are unshakably loyal to him, willing to follow him into death and back.

    Devlin

A sleazy, corrupt, and greedy money-lender.

  • Fat Bastard: Devlin is a fat chunky man who is also a greedy money-lender. He knowingly places unfair contracts to line his own pockets with others' hard-earned money, especially on demon citizens.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: On other routes, he eventually bows to the reality that Ruin and his friends have gotten one over on him. It's averted on Shaharl's route, where his obsession with getting even with the Duchess ultimately costs him his remaining fortune and his life.

    B. Roke

The corrupt castellan of Boobshire Castle.

    B. Tomless

The corrupt son of B. Roke.

    Assassins A, B, and C

A trio of so-called assassins who really aren't good at their occupation.

  • Butt-Monkey: They fail humorously in their attempts to kill Ruin.

    Assassins X, Y, and Z

Another trio of assassins who are far more dangerous than A, B, and C.
