     Class 3-F

Cayetana 'Kaya' Morgan

Played By: GMPC
Class: Geomancer Lord
Race: Kamuy

Lara 'Rika' Riesenberg

Played By: SeriousConcentrate
Class: Conjurer
Race: Fera (Bovis)

  • Country Mouse: Her characterisation, as a woman from rural Rheinberg turned student at the highly prestigious Solrise Academy.
  • Statuesque Stunner: One of the biggest characters in the cast, and certainly not bad-looking.
  • Team Mom: Rapidly becomes this due to her attitude towards everyone else.

Orrel Sokolov IV

Played By: swordstar
Class: Sword Disciple
Race: Fera (Avis)

  • Berserk Button: Do NOT hurt his brother Arnett or in anyway make him feel hurt. Kruger learns this the hard way.
  • Big Brother Instinct: His attitude towards Arnett.
  • Book Dumb: Downplayed; Orrel is quite good with intellectual subjects where they have to do with combat. Where they do not, however, he flounders miserably; this is the explanation for him having been held back from graduating from Solrise Academy.
  • Improbable Weapon User: He uses war fans as his primary mode of combat.

Arnett Sokolov

Played By: RedMageCole
Class: Artist
Race: Fera (Avis)

  • Art Attacker: As an Artist, he can create an Imago that attacks for him.
  • Cast from Sanity: It's heavily implied that his Arte, Mental Degradation, takes a toll on his psyche to boost his Imago's powers.
  • Shrinking Violet: Incredibly shy, with very little self-esteem.

Kruger Ludwig Wallhaim

Played By: SirAston
Class: Cadet
Race: Homid

  • Big Brother Instinct: Developing one to Arnett.
  • Brutal Honesty: One of his first acts in the game towards Arnett, when he wasn't convinced of the latter being capable on the battlefield.
  • Byronic Hero: In most aspects save the charisma. While his Brutal Honesty and tendency towards the pragmatic aren't motivated by evil, on the other hand other people (who are unaware of his true motives) tends to view him as a Jerkass.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Took Isabeau's claim of being a princess of the "Tenebrous Kingdom" at face value.
  • Glory Seeker: As part of his goal to become the future leader of the Rheinberg Confederation.
  • Hates Their Parent: Doesn't have a high opinion of his father, Rheinberg's war minister Radolf Armin Josef Wallhaim.
  • Inadequate Inheritor: Both by fate and by choice. He's a second son, limiting his inheritance prospects, and he willingly sabotaged his own appeal to not become a suitable candidate for political marriage.
  • Make Me Wanna Shout: His Arte allows him to amplify his voice, but lacks Required Secondary Powers to allow him to go lethal with it.
  • The Paladin: Gameplay-wise. A physical melee all-rounder that excels at protecting adjacent allies with his Dragon Ward+ skill and buffing the damage/healing of nearby allies with Combat Order: Concentrate Fire.
  • Royal Rapier: His preferred weapon.
  • Sword and Fist: By virtue of being a Cadet.
    • Shield Bash: Tends to wear both swords and shields, so using a Fist weapon can be interpreted as this.
  • The Stoic: A quiet, unemotional man.
  • Ventriloquism: Invoked. Has been shown to be able to displace his voice with his Arte.

Mordecai Hoth

Played By: Sirus
Class: Shaman
Race: Belgor (Vampire)

  • Bad Powers, Good People: His power involves draining the life force out of other people to heal himself. Mordecai is intensely devoted to the cause of destroying the Fiends and is more concerned about making a bad impression as a Vampire.
  • Fantastic Racism: The Belgor suffer this in setting and Vampires even more so. As such, Mordecai is afraid of this trope befalling him. Averted in practice, as most people don't seem to care about his race.
  • Life Drain: Mordecai's Arte allows him to drain someone else's life force to heal himself.

Sieglinde 'Lin' Weylan

Played By: Chevaleresse
Class: Artificer
Race: Belgor

  • Artificial Limbs: Her leg is artificial.
  • Berserk Button: Do NOT touch her stuff. Astrea moves the stuff she leaves in her room and almost gets set on fire for her troubles.
    • Also has a subtler, but still present emotional reaction to scientists and doctors.
  • Cast from Hit Points: Her Arte continuously damages her when in use.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: She isn't very open about it, but it is clear that Lin has borne witness to at least one tragedy, especially given some event when she was young took her leg.
  • Emotional Powers: Lin's Arte is deeply tied to her emotional state; it manifests more strongly if she is angry or otherwise distressed, and enhances her emotions to boot, creating a dangerous feedback loop. Preventing it from firing off when she doesn't want it to or going out of control is part of why she came to Solrise in the first place.
  • Expy: She's based on Ifrit and Vulcan, taking Vulcan's skill at smithing and physical appearance with Ifrit's fire-based powers and several things associated with them.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: Her Arte raises the heat of everything in her area, including herself, which does actual harm to her in both game terms and injuries suffered in-character.
  • Horned Humanoid: Lin has unusually prominent and distinctive horns for her species.
  • Living Emotional Crutch: Vicky was this to her before the other girl was Put on a Bus. She's notably more sullen and temperamental without her lead singer around.
  • Major Injury Underreaction: Lin casually mentions suffering burns to her organs. The only thing that bothers her about this is that she said it out loud, because she thinks someone might make a big deal out of it.
  • Mighty Glacier: Lin's build eschews Speed entirely, and her Personal Flaw causes her to lose movement. Instead, she relies on the numerous effects of her Arte combined with high defensive growths to contribute to fights.
  • Playing with Fire: Her Arte Muspellheimr. It's mentioned that, unlike Annika's Arte, her Arte actually works by raising the temperature of the surrounding area.
  • Required Secondary Powers: Averted. Lin isn't any more heat- or fire-resistant than her classmates, which causes her power to be deterimental to her health.
  • Trash of the Titans: Her dorm room, until Astrea cleans it up much to her chagrin.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: Downplayed. Lin suffers from intrusive thoughts and hallucinations if she goes overboard with her Arte.
  • You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry!: Despite her quiet attitude, Lin has an explosive temper that sometimes goes off for seemingly trivial reasons, like moving her stuff around. Not only does she physically lash out, her Arte tends to activate uncontrollably in this state.

Delwyn Green

Played By: Gaterhyme
Class: Lance Disciple
Race: Kamuy

  • Camera Fiend: Delwyn's favorite hobby is taking photos of just about everything.
  • Mellow Fellow: Delwyn is incredibly laidback and almost serenely unmotivated.

Mus'ad Wyrm

Played By: kj1225
Class: Seer
Race: Fera (Dracis)

  • Combat Clairvoyance: Fluff-wise, his Arte operates like this, allowing him to warn his allies of future happenings.
  • Winds of Destiny, Change!: Mechanically, his Arte allows him to automatically set the result of any roll.

Reeve von Anextra Polyion III

Played By: GodofGamingRWBY
Class: Mage
Race: Homid

  • Badass Boast: Quite fond of these, to the point of referring to herself as "the Great Angel of Flame".
  • Large Ham: Though not to the extent of Isabeau, Reeve is prone to overdramatizing trivial matters and hyperinflating her own abilities.
  • Playing with Fire: Specializes in Fire magic, and is quite proficient in it
  • Squishy Wizard: Incredibly hard hitting, with high magic and skill coupled with an Arte that increases her damage and crit chance the more she hits without missing. But put her in a stiff breeze and she'll break fairly quickly.

Cattleya Chatgeant

Played By: GiglameshDespair
Class: Mercenary
Race: Fera (Felis)

  • Action Bomb: Cattleya's Arte Clawsplosion turns herself into this, at the cost of reducing her HP to one and damaging enemies for the difference between her previous and current health.
  • Berserk Button: Do not mention anything about cats in front of her.

Astrea von Celeste

Played By: Aurorix
Class: Pegasus Rider
Race: Kamuy

Victoria 'Vicky' Bathory

Played By: Raindrop Valkyrie

     Class 3-A

Steven Harrigan

Race: Fera (Felis)

  • Childhood Friends: With Kaya.

Ilse Hermer

Race: Homid

  • Straight Gay: Other than having a girlfriend, Ilse displays no other real stereotpyical traits.
  • Workaholic: Implied, given that Kaya and Lin find her in the cafeteria passed out over some homework.

Per Ohlson

Race: Fera (Bovis)

Freddie Jones

Race: Homid

  • Do Not Call Me "Paul": He's not Frederick, he's Freddie. Only his mother calls him Frederick.

  • Plant Person: As a Daphne, she has plant-like traits, including green skin and flowers growing out of her hair.

Himiko Kuriyama

Race: Homid

  • Expy: Of Kaguya Shinomiya. Her and Joel's sidequest is even called Love is War.|
  • Rebellious Princess: The heiress to the Kuriyama Conglomerate who fled. She and Joel met and decided to attend Solrise together.
  • Red String of Fate: Her Arte Fated Bond invokes the imagery, allowing her to connect to allies and enemies. Enemies connected to her through Fated Ribbons take half the damage they inflict on Himiko or her allies, while allies receive half the damage Himiko deals as healing.

Tobias Larson

Race: Belgor

Christine Nelissen

Race: Salis
     Class 3-C

Maximus Schmidt

Race: Andvar
Class: Tamer

  • Beware the Quiet Ones: A quiet, shy boy. He's also an Andvar, making him naturally larger and stronger than most other people, and his Arte Explosion inflicts damage in a massive area of effect.
  • Gentle Giant: A quiet, shy man, despite his size. He's also great with animals.
  • Ship Tease: Has some with Kaede, who he even attempts to raise a puppy for for her birthday knowing she likes dogs.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: Maximus' Arte, Explosion, allows him to make things explode on contact.

Kaede Miyajima

Race: Kamuy

  • Plant Person: As a Daphne, she has plant-like traits, including green skin and flowers growing out of her hair.

Alicia Xiao

Race: Fera (Muscis)
Class: Fighter

  • Expy: Of Shaw.
  • Motor Mouth: Alicia speaks so quickly that her words are rendered with no spaces in between them.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Despite her small size, she's mentioned to be quite strong, and her Arte Repulsion lets her push far larger opponents away.
  • Shrinking Violet: Downplayed, in that her primary issue is finding it difficult to speak in front of large crowds due to her Motor Mouth.
  • Super-Strength: Repulsion manifests as this, allowing her to throw opponents of greater size and strength away.

Nicholas Sloane

Race: Homid
Class: Thief

  • Wonder Twin Powers: Nicholas and Jackson's Arte, Gemini, grants them these, allowing Nicholas to convert his attacks into Dark magic.

Jackson Sloane

Race: Homid
Class: Brawler

  • Casanova Wannabe: It's implied through his conversations with Kaede that he tries (vainly) to hit on girls. It's mentioned he even hits on Ilse's girlfriend unwittingly.
  • Wonder Twin Powers: Nicholas and Jackson's Arte, Gemini, grants them these, allowing Jackson to convert his attacks into Light magic.

Joel Harvey

Race: Fera (Simis)
Class: Troubadour

  • Barrier Warrior: His Arte, Guardian Soul, manifests as one protecting the person targeted with a temporary forcefield.
  • Mighty Glacier: His stat spread as a Troubadour makes hims incredibly bulky and tanky, but slow.
  • Expy: Of Miyuki Shirogane. His and Himiko's sidequest is even called Love is War.

Theodora Kokkinos

Race: Homid
Class: Lance Disciple

  • The Ace: To a lesser extent than Steven is portrayed, but Theodora is generally given a wide berth due to her talents.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: After the fight in which her class is defeated by the players, Theodora is then challenged in a series of consecutive fights by Orrel, Cattelya and Astrea. She beats them without even breaking a sweat.
  • Even the Girls Want Her: It's mentioned Theodora has many admirers, and Lin definitely has a crush on her.
  • Expy: Of Pyrrha Nikos; both are renowned red-headed tournament fighters with fearsome reputations, their names are Greek-themed and Theodora even uses her Arte in a similar way to how Pyrrha uses her Semblance in most fights.
  • Famed In-Story: Theodora is mentioned to be on the advertising of a cereal box (that can be bought and consumed as a stat-boosting item), her name is well-known in Solrise and Idunn mentions being a fan of her rival Felix.
  • Lonely at the Top: It's heavily implied by Isabella that Theodora's social life is empty, outside of her hanging out with Andreas as Kaya mentions.
  • Psychic Powers: Her Arte, Telekinesis, lets her use, well, telekinesis to avoid attacks and reduce damage taken to herself.
  • Red Baron: She is called the Untouchable Girl of Miletos.

Andreas Bellamy

Idunn Sturlusdottir

Race: Andvar
Class: Brawler

  • Energy Absorption: Idunn's Arte Absorption allows her to deal more damage the lower her health goes due to her absorbing the energy to deal more damage.

  • Shock and Awe: His Arte manifests as electricity sparking off himself to attack targets.
  • Shout-Out: His Arte Counter-Arc is this to Liskarm's similarly named ability in Arknights.

     Solrise Staff

Layla Ververs

Race: Homid

Gabriela Lucerne

Race: Andvar

Matthias Carver

Race: Daphne (Dryad)
     Other Characters

Isabeau du Archambault

Race: Homid
Class: Huntress

  • Chuunibyou: Heavily implied to be one, given her mannerisms, claims to be a princess of the Tenebrous Kingdom which definitely doesn't exist in Parvain. Kaede even compares it to a novel.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: See above. Everyone is utterly baffled by her.
  • Expy: An Chuunibyou archer with an animal companion who wields magic? Are we talking about Isabeau or are we talking about Fischl?
  • Fish out of Water: Implied, given that her first appearance involves her staring intently at a power outlet and it's revealed she has no idea what a bus toll is.
  • Guardian Entity: The Matagot, her Arte, manifests as a shadowy-looking cat that shoots lighting.
  • Large Ham: Every line of hers drips with melodramatic theatrics, in keeping with her Chuunibyou personality.
