Alliances

    open/close all folders

     The Athletes Alliance

The Athletes Alliance

Members: Miesha, Lamar, Todrick, Chris Kirkpatrick, Mirai

  • The Bad Guys Win: They dominated the competitions and their ringleader won.
  • Non-Indicative Name: Neither Todrick nor Chris Kirkpatrick are athletes, yet they were included in the alliance. Miesha even added both of them before considering Mirai, who is an actual athlete.

     The Formation

The Formation

Members: Mirai, Carson, Cynthia, Todrick, Shanna, Teddi

Winner

     Miesha Tate

Miesha Tate

  • Alpha Bitch: With multiple early Head of Household wins, she sets herself up to effectively run the house, and consistently targets the Nice Guy and Nice Girl houseguests with this power.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: Her and Todrick are the most ruthless players of the season and have zero qualms about getting out every last houseguest who they perceive as a threat, no matter how nice those houseguests are.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Won 8-1 against Todrick.
  • Brutal Honesty: Refuses to kiss ass or congratulate Carson on his first Head of Household win as in her mind, it's disingenuous.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Despite being one of the two Big Bads of the season, Miesha often talks about how much she loves her kids and even breaks down crying about how much she misses them when she gets to see them in a message from home.
  • Jerk Jock: With her background as a mixed martial arts fighter and her ruthless tactics, she excels at the physical competitions and picks off houseguests who are more well-liked than her.
  • Lesser of Two Evils: Is called this by Teddi.
  • Pet the Dog: Although she initially targeted Mirai during her first Head of Household reign, she actually changed her mind about Mirai later on and tried to discourage Kirkpatrick from targeting her again during his Head of Household reign. While it was partly motivated by strategy, because she felt that Mirai could be controlled and benefit her game, she nonetheless turned out to be unhappy with Mirai being voted out so early and has expressed in the feeds afterward that she wished she stayed longer.
  • Rags to Riches: Like Kirkpatrick below she grew up in a poor rural neighborhood, and had to fight for everything. Serves as a Freudian Excuse for her.

The Runner-Up

     Todrick Hall

Todrick Hall

  • 0% Approval Rating: Just like his inspiration Kyland from Big Brother 23, Todrick has become the most disliked houseguest by far and is consistently at the bottom of fan polls across the board due to his consistent mean comments about both his fellow houseguests and several people outside of the house, making Carson and Cynthia become unlikable by manipulating them into becoming Jerkasses, Slut-Shaming Shanna for her outfits despite often wearing revealing clothing himself, and being very egotistical. This backfired spectacularly when his victims saw the live feeds and discovered how disgusting and toxic Todrick had been, leading to a landslide jury vote defeat.
  • Alpha Bastard: Just like Miesha, he targeted nice houseguests, and was ruthless and constantly picked on the evictees and everyone not named Miesha.
  • Arch-Enemy: Started out as Carson, quickly shifted to Chris Kirkpatrick in the following week due to paranoia that he'd backstabbing him and being aware he was playing both sides. When Kirkpatrick left, Carson became the number one target. Can we say everyone not named Miesha?
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: He and Miesha are the most ruthless players of the season and have zero qualms about getting out every last houseguest who they perceive as a threat, no matter how nice those houseguests are.
  • Depraved Homosexual: Puts on a pretty face claiming they represented the LGBTQ+ community during Carson's eviction to save face and get Jury votes but as soon as the live feeds turns on, his cattiness comes out. Also flirts with straight guys and makes them feel uncomfortable, with only Lamar feeling okay about his flirting, He also doesn't take rejection well... Considered turning bisexual for Miesha.
  • Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas: Is an unapologetic momma's boy. That's about the only person he doesn't trash.
  • Evil Is Hammy: His Head of Household nomination ceremony is so absurd and over-the-top between his opera singing and ridiculous costume and Shakespearean antics that it needs to be seen to be believed.
  • Genre Savvy: Is a Big Brother superfan, and even spent months living with previous Big Brother contestants to learn the game. His extensive knowledge of the game effectively makes him the brains to Miesha’s brawn.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Immediately puts a target on his friend Carson because he believes that Carson is too likable compared to him, and would be a threat to his game.
  • Jerkass: It's telling when most if not all of the evicted Houseguests have more fans than him for his unpleasant personality, gaslighting Shanna, and corrupting nearly every remaining houseguest.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While Todrick was trying to last minute prevent Miesha from being nominated, he was right about Shanna and Kirkpatrick Playing Both Sides.
  • Kick the Dog: Due to basing his game around Kyland, he's done it so much it's not even funny. Take your pick, either him mistreating Mirai in Weeks 1 and 2 (while others felt bad for her isolation, Todrick didn't feel any remorse) gaslighting Shanna by getting the target on her and getting everyone sans Lamar to turn on her, Slut-Shaming Shanna, or telling Chris Kirkpatrick he was a bad role model to his son, just like Kyland Young.
  • Slut-Shaming: Of the “wearing sexy clothing” variety toward Shanna.
  • Stupid Evil: Telling Chris Kirkpatrick that he was a bad role model for his son is a bad enough jab to obviously cost him Chris Kirkpatrick’s jury vote while netting him no advantages whatsoever. Unlike even Kyland who made the personal jab on his way out after he had already lost, Todrick doing this indisputably hurt his own chance at winning simply For the Evulz.
  • Toxic Friend Influence: And HOW! Miesha would be significantly nicer if she didn't have Todrick breathing down her neck, and he manipulated two of the most likeable houseguests into turning on someone who saved them.
  • Unsportsmanlike Gloating: Lamar calls him out on this due to Todrick being such a Large Ham about his Head of Household win and continuously rubbing it in everyone’s faces.
  • Villainous Legacy: Due to befriending him in the months before the game, he chooses to take Kyland, the Big Bad of Big Brother 23, as his inspiration. This leads to some of his worst moments such as telling Chris Kirkpatrick that he was a bad role model for his son as a Call-Back to when Kyland did the same thing to Xavier in regard to his nephew. Sadly, he had the chance to avert this if he instead chose to emulate the other Big Brother 23 contestant he befriended, Hannah, who was easily one of the nicest people on her season.

The Jury

     Cynthia Bailey (Juror #8)

Cynthia Bailey

  • Best Friend: To Carson, as his closest ally and the two of them genuinely getting along very well.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Chooses to believe Todrick and Miesha, the season’s Big Bad Duumvirate, over Shanna, who was clearly on her side. She ends up wasting her opportunity to get out one of the Big Bads by targeting her own ally and winds up sabotaging her own side because of this.
  • Nice Girl: At least before Carson’s Head of Household, she was one of the kinder houseguests, which is why she got along well with Carson.
  • Slut-Shaming: Of the “wearing sexy clothing” variety toward Shanna.
  • Took a Level in Dumbass: Is a completely reasonable player all the way until Carson’s Head of Household win, at which point she starts making several idiotic and irrational decisions that severely reduce her chances of winning.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Goes from being nothing but nice to everyone, to becoming a major Jerkass to Shanna for little reason.
  • Undying Loyalty: Even when Todrick and Shanna betray Carson for Miesha, Cynthia doesn’t abandon Carson, even though it puts her lower on the house’s social hierarchy.

     Todd Bridges (Juror #7)

Todd Bridges

  • Berserk Button: Apparently, not liking his ribs. He and Cynthia got in a huge fight which seems to have started with Cynthia not liking his ribs.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Played the fool early in the game so that he would be underestimated, but as the numbers have dwindled he’s revealed that he’s more game-savvy than he initially let on.
  • Grumpy Old Man: Most of the time he’s grouchy and doesn’t really seem to want to be there.
  • Hazy-Feel Turn: He never really becomes a heroic player in the house, but once Carson leaves, and Cynthia and Lamar are clearly non-threats due to having no competition wins to their name, he ends up becoming a bit of a hero by default as Todrick and Miesha’s only remaining obstacle. It’s also worth noting that he Took a Level in Kindness and treats Cynthia better than he did at the beginning.
  • Jerkass: Became extremely verbally aggressive with Cynthia for little reason, and has also sided with Miesha and Todrick despite them clearly being the more antagonistic side of the house.
  • Mook: Does the bidding of Miesha and Todrick, but isn’t enough of a power player to join their Big Bad Duumvirate.
  • Once Done, Never Forgotten: By the time of the third eviction, he still holds a grudge against Cynthia for casting a vote to evict him during the first eviction. This is despite Cynthia making it clear that it wasn’t personal and she was just trying to save her alliance member Teddi.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Went from being one of the weaker players in the early game to being Todrick and Miesha’s biggest threat in the end game due to winning a Head of Household and multiple Vetoes, including one that saves him from their first attempt to evict him. They outright state multiple times after Carson’s eviction that Todd is their only obstacle to victory.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: After being a Jerkass to Cynthia in the early game, he mellows out a bit and is nicer to her toward the endgame.

     Lamar Odom (Juror #6)

Lamar Odom

  • Cloudcuckoolander: Frequently saying and doing strange things. Thinks the Egyptians had alien connections to name one.
  • Conspiracy Theorist: Thinks the Egyptians had alien connections.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Signed on for Celebrity Big Brother and clearly did zero research about how the game works, leading to him constantly being confused about what’s going on and what he needs to be doing.
  • Endearingly Dorky: His mannerisms, overall cluelessness about the game, and genuinely sweet attitude has made him a fan favourite among alumni and others and out of the remaining six he tops the popularity charts.
  • Gasshole: Those are not sound effects.
  • Nice Guy: Pretty much the kindest houseguest by the time the game gets down to the final six, and he stands out as the only one who was never unnecessarily mean to Shanna, as even Todd still trash-talked her behind her back despite never being mean to her face. Even in the beginning he was definitely the second-nicest to Mirai after Chris Kattan.
  • Only Sane Man: Oddly enough, he is this during Shanna’s eviction. While everyone else unquestionably votes Shanna out unanimously, Lamar hesitates for a long time, confused as to why they would waste the opportunity to take out the obvious Big Bad Miesha. Though he ultimately votes with the house, he continues to question the situation even afterward.
  • Took a Level in Badass / Character Development: Has been learning how the game works as he goes along, and has started showing signs of being a legitimately good strategist. For example, when Todd tries to convince him that Shanna is the biggest threat for winning two Vetoes, Lamar correctly refutes that Miesha is a far bigger threat for winning two Head of Households.

     Carson Kressley (Juror #5)

Carson Kressley

  • Best Friend: To Cynthia, as her closest ally and the two of them genuinely getting along very well.
  • Heel Realization: When he left the house, he at first seemed to still think that turning on Shanna was the “honorable” thing to do. However, starting with the end of his eviction interview with Julie and then continuing into his other interviews over the following weekend, it’s clear that Carson figured out that he shouldn’t have listened to Todrick and Miesha, and he stated several times over that he owes Shanna a big apology. Unlike many other Big Brother contestants in the past, he fully owned up to becoming a Jerkass in the game and shows clear regret over it.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Chooses to believe Todrick and Miesha, the season’s Big Bad Duumvirate, over Shanna, who was clearly on his side. He ends up wasting his opportunity to get out one of the Big Bads by targeting his own ally instead and winds up sabotaging his own side because of this.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: During his Head of Household, he chose to target Shanna, who had just saved him and clearly wanted to work with him, rather than Miesha and Todrick, who had both been targeting him for the entire game. Naturally, this ensures that he has more enemies than allies the following week and he ends up getting voted out as a result.
  • Mr. Exposition: Fans quickly noticed that he’s basically the season’s narrator since he’s frequently the one explaining what’s going on in his Confession Cam segments.
  • Nice Guy: A genuinely nice and friendly person who gets along with almost everyone, which is why Todrick and Miesha go after him.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: See Mr. Exposition above. Often times he's narrating and making everyone laugh.
  • Took a Level in Dumbass: Is a completely reasonable and strategic player all the way until his Head of Household win, at which point he starts making several idiotic and irrational decisions that severely reduce his chances of winning.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Goes from being nothing but nice to everyone, to becoming a major Jerkass to Shanna for little reason.

     Shanna Moakler (Juror #4)

Shanna Moakler

     Chris Kirkpatrick (Juror #3)

Chris Kirkpatrick

  • Affably Evil: A nice enough guy outside of the game and references plenty of TV shows and things that were popular in the 90s, but is cutthroat and willing to play both sides in the game.
  • Ascended Fanboy: The "superfan " of the season acting clueless and unaware in the first eviction but at soon as he sits into power, decides to take out the youngest most athletic houseguest.
  • Bad Liar: Miesha and Todrick feeling a shift in his behavior is what made them suspicious of him in the first place, and then his inability to convincingly lie to Miesha is what caused her to put him on the block and ultimately evict him.
  • Butt-Monkey: His game in general. He gets into an alliance with Todrick and Miesha, but is quickly caught playing both sides and gets unanimously voted out when he replaced Carson as a nominee. His response? He regrets nothing and admits he couldn't lie to Miesha.
  • Classical Anti-Hero: What he ultimately is.
  • Fatal Flaw: Being a Bad Liar, since it caused Miesha to distrust him, put him on the block, and ultimately get him evicted.
  • Go Out with a Smile: Easily one of the classiest Celebrity exits ever. Refuses to campaign against Cynthia, and goes out as classy as you'd imagine.
  • Heel–Face Door-Slam: Starts off as a villain who plays both sides for a while before deciding on Face, which gets him eliminated.
  • Let's You and Him Fight: His strategy is to be the middleman in the conflict between Carson and Cynthia versus Miesha and Todrick, having them take each other out to eliminate all of his competition.
  • Mean Character, Nice Actor: Has nothing but nice things to say about his fellow Celebrity houseguests upon eviction, and though he was playing a villainous game, genuinely wanted to give the other side of the house a fighting chance overall leading to his game self being villainous but his real life self being a Nice Guy.
  • Pet the Dog: Despite being unaired, Kirkpatrick would always check in on Kattan on the live feeds to make sure he was comfortable, felt bad for Mirai's eviction, and genuinely felt the most upset about his self eviction besides Carson, who said he was going to bake him a cake.
  • Playing Both Sides: And it works!
  • Rags to Riches: Revealed in a live feed clip to have grown up in a very poor neighborhood up until he was 16 and then helped found N Sync.
  • Redemption Equals Eviction: Was one of the more villainous houseguests, but when he caught on to just how powerful Todrick and Miesha were becoming, he came up with the plan to have Shanna take Carson off of the block to ruin Miesha’s plan and save Carson, knowing full well that it could likely lead to him being backdoored. When this was exactly what happened and Julie questioned why he did it in his eviction interview, he said that he had no regrets and felt that it was the only way to give the rest of the house a fighting chance.
  • Self-Deprecation: Jokingly says they should change the band's name to "N Suck" after being voted out unanimously.
  • Senseless Sacrifice: Sacrifices his game to give Carson, Cynthia, and Shanna a fighting chance against Miesha and Todrick, only for Carson and Cynthia to immediately blow it by believing Todrick’s Blatant Lies and targeting Shanna instead, returning the power to Miesha and Todrick despite his sacrifice for them.

     Chris Kattan (Evicted Houseguest #3)

Chris Kattan

  • All-Loving Hero: Everyone loves Kattan to the point when he was against Mirai, he didn't get a single vote. Miesha even states his likeable nature makes him the perfect pawn.
  • Greater Need Than Mine: Wanted to the house to keep Mirai because she wanted to stay.
  • Nice Guy: Considering how nice he is to everyone, especially Mirai, he could probably be considered the kindest person in the entire house.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: Leaves the game of his own accord rather than getting voted out. Likely because of the physical toll it took for him to do competitions with his chronic pain and back problems.
  • Only Friend: He’s the only who seems to actually care about how Mirai feels and tries his best to make sure she doesn’t feel isolated.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: Most of his clips involve him doing something funny.
  • Shoo Out the Clowns: He's hilarious and sweet basically being the zany houseguest of this season yet he chooses to leave due to chronic pain and back problems.
  • Springtime for Hitler: He implores everyone to send him home when he’s on the block with Mirai, because he feels that she cares about being in the game more than he does. Naturally he gets zero eviction votes and is upset that Mirai gets sent home instead.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Within Big Brother at least, cake. He quickly became notorious for his habit of getting up in the middle of the night to keep eating the cake, and he pretty much ended up eating all of the cake by himself.

     Mirai Nagasu (Juror #2)

Mirai Nagasu

  • All of the Other Reindeer: She clearly had a difficult time fitting in due to being much younger than the rest of the cast. Chris Kattan more or less turns out to be her Only Friend and he’s the only one who makes the effort to actually spend time with her and be emotional support for her.
  • The Cutie: Extremely sweet and comes across as super innocent.
    • Break the Cutie: The isolation she felt in the house clearly took a toll on her emotionally to the point that she seemed very depressed by the end. The other houseguests seemed to think of voting her out as a Mercy Kill.
  • Poor Communication Kills / Innocently Insensitive: In her pre eviction speech she accidentally calls the house "much older than her" and ends up getting voted out unanimously.
  • Token Minority: She is the only Asian houseguest, which ends up making her feel very isolated from the rest of the cast who are all white or black. In her eviction speech, she cites the Cookout from Big Brother 23 (a successful alliance of black houseguests who ensured the first black winner) as an inspiration for wanting to bring attention to Asian Americans and the struggles that they face as well.

     Teddi Mellencamp (Juror #1)

Teddi Mellencamp

  • Hope Spot: Is initially Miesha’s target, catches a break when Miesha decides to target Mirai and Carson instead, but then ends up being backdoored anyway when Carson saves himself with the veto.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: The first houseguest evicted.
