    Main Characters
The Main protagonists of which the story centers upon

Eric Elexion

An American soldier from our world, who is (by unknown means) thrown into the world of Medius. Unaware of the reality of his situation, he soon finds himself bound to the demones, Sakido, and has since traveled with her.
  • Attack Hello: MANY of Eric's first encounters with the residents of Medius start out as this (though he doesn't actually throw the first punch for most of them), with the list including: Lazuli, Sakido, Toski, A random human, Broxis, and A pair of Angels. Heck, the first chapter starts with him on an assassination mission.
  • Badass Normal: He may be a normal human, but he's more than capable of standing up to Angels and Demons alike, and come out on top. As of chapter 22, he is no longer a normal human, subverting this trope
  • Blessed with Suck: What his status as 'Soul Partner' to Sakido was referred to by Death. Played with at first, but ultimately subverted.
  • Clothing Damage: Most of his clothes are destroyed in chapter 22 due to his demon form being larger than his human form, leaving him with only his boxers.
  • Fish out of Water: He starts out as this, but quickly adapts.
  • Going Native: Happens to him in more ways than one. First he ends up in a relationship with Sakido, a Demon. Next, he gains the ability to turn into a Demon. Last, he and Sakido get VERY intimate in the side story. Yep, its pretty obvious that Medius is Eric's home now.
  • I Will Find You: Invoked when he leaves Sakido with the Sinclairs to let her travel with Buwaro, but ultimately subverted when she ends up following him
  • Playing with Fire: He gains the ability to use fire magic starting from Chapter 22
  • Synchronization: He and Sakido share a soul link, meaning they both feel what each other feels, and in an extreme case, if one of them dies, so will the other. Has become Mind Link Mates as of chapter 17
  • Trapped in Another World: His current situation. Not that he really minds.
  • Unstoppable Rage: Goes through one in chapter 28, to the point that he transforms into his fire demon form out of sheer anger, and promptly Curb Stomps several rebels, including the leader. Good thing Sakido managed to snap him out of it before it got too far.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: He is able to turn into a Fire Demon starting from chapter 22, and gains the ability to change at will starting from chapter 24
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: Starting from chapter 22. Justified, as wearing one while transforming into his demon form would result in Clothing Damage.

Sakido Elexion

A former warrior of Hell, she was killed while she attempted to enter Medius. However, the Gods deemed her worthy of getting a second chance at life, and bound her soul to the first person that was 'unfortunate' enough to approach her grave. That person turned out to be Eric, and she has traveled with him since.

Introduced in Eternal Wind

Jonathon Drayer

A soldier from Earth, and a good friend of Eric. He is the one who urged for the expedition into Medius to be carried out, intending to find out what became of his friend, and if possible, to bring him back.
  • Determinator: A lesser example (for now at least), but it sure takes a lot of guts to go jumping headlong into an alien world on POSSIBILITY that his friend is still alive.
  • A Father to His Men: Goes the extra length to treat the men under his command fairly and is willing to do what he can to ensure that everyone makes it out alive.
  • Undying Loyalty: He and Eric were the best of friends, and thus he's willing to go through a lot of trouble for his friend.

     Others
A list of other characters (that are actually named) that appear in the fic, no matter how minor their roles.

Lazuli

A Water Demon, and a member of Hell's Army. She was sent to Medius to gather Angels for an unknown reason, but has since abandoned her mission after her partner, the Earth Demon Talus, was killed by the Water Angel Kieri Suizhan. She now seeks to avenge her fallen ally.
  • Attack Hello: The first thing she does when she appears is attack Eric.
  • Quickly-Demoted Woman: She first appears in the second chapter and spends a few chapters harrasing Eric, but promptly disappears from the scene for no apparent reason after getting shot. This is particularly strange considering her vengeful personality, especially since she appears again many chapters later in perfect health, showing that the wound was not serious at all.

Toski The Rabbit

One of the 12 Guardians of Medius, specifically one of the Water Guardians. She was one of the two Guardians that sided with Hell in the Great War, and remains loyal to Syndel.

Broxis The Wolf

One of the 12 Guardians of Medius, specifically one of the Water Guardians. He was one of the two Guardians that sided with Hell in the Great War.
  • Attack Hello: Both he and Eric are guilty in this case, as they both attacked each other, though it was cleared up later.
  • Making a Splash: Like with Toski, he is also a Water Guardian
  • Physical God: Immortal. Wolf. Demigod. Need we say more?
  • Savage Wolves: He leads a pack of these.
  • Shapeshifter: His true form is a wolf, but he is able to disguise himself as a Jakkai.
  • The Stoic: Not quite, but he gets quite a few points here for being able to hear Eric's explanation of him being from another world, and remain nearly unfazed.

Fara and Sarah

A pair of Angels, specifically a Fire and Wind Angel respectively, that Eric and Sakido encounter.
  • Attack Hello: As is the norm for the majority of Angels in Slightly Damned, they attack Sakido on sight.
  • Fantastic Racism: Typical of Angels towards Demons, though considering how MOST Demons are...can't really blame them
  • Mooks: Considering how easily Eric and Sakido beat them, they may as well be this.

The Sinclair Family

A...quirky human family consisting of Heathcliff and Miranda Sinclair, along with their niece, Samantha, Heathcliff's friend and magical partner, Duster, and their unborn child.

Buwaro Elexion

A young Fire Demon, and Sakido's adoptive brother. He is one of the three main characters of the canon Slightly Damned storyline.
  • Demoted to Extra: He, Rhea, and Kieri, while being the main characters in canon, are minor characters in this fic, albeit more important than most of the other minor characters.
  • Interspecies Romance: With Kieri.
  • Our Demons Are Different: You don't get anymore different than Buwaro. On a scale of 1 to 10, Buwaro scores a friggin 100.
  • Playing with Fire: He may still be AWFUL at it, but he is STILL a Fire Demon.
  • The Ditz: Just like in canon.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Played with, as while he is still not the brightest bulb, that particular incident was due to him not knowing what a grenade was. Lets just be VERY thankful that Eric managed to stop him from taking a bite out of that 'apple'

Kieri Suizhan

A young Water Angel, who is from a long line of warrior Angels. She is currently traveling with Buwaro and Rhea in search of her brother.
  • Demoted to Extra: She, Rhea, and Buwaro, while being the main characters in canon, are minor characters in this fic. Amongst the three, she has so far been demoted the most, though this is mostly due to her not having any connection whatsoever with Sakido.
  • Making a Splash: She IS a Water Angel
  • Shrinking Violet: She is already timid enough with regular Medians. Its understandable why she barely even talks around Sakido (an experienced Wind Demon and former Elite) and Eric (a human who is not only friends with a Demon, but able to take a fire spell that managed to down a Seraph and still remain standing)

Rhea Snaketail

A Jakkai who has recently come back from the dead after she and Buwaro escaped Hell thanks to Sakido. After Sakido's initial demise, she has since taken on the role of Buwaro's surrogate sister.
  • Demoted to Extra: She, Buwaro, and Kieri, while being main characters in canon, are minor characters in this fic. She still has a decent amount of importance, though, particularly in her helping convince Sakido to follow Eric.
  • Schmuck Bait: She just can't resist teasing Sakido on her relationship with Eric. Naturally, this earns her a shock session

The Three Gods

The Rebels

Chudnofsky

The leader of the rebels whom Eric was sent to assassinate. Despite getting shot, he somehow survived and ended up in Medius along with his troops
