Do not mess with something Anne holds dear.
Handy Anne
  • Anne defeating the veggie monster after it accidentally crushes the Plantar house. This is especially impressive as she was able to perform the Eye Colour Change once more, proving that it wasn't an animation error.
  • After the battle against the veggie monster destroys the house, Hop Pop calls in Chuck, who fixes everything up in seconds.
Hop Pop: Why do you think I hired Chuck in the first place?

The Ballad of Hopediah Plantar

  • The Plantars' ruse to defeat the Hasselbacks is pretty impressive, even if Mama sees through it.
  • The Bittyburgs rising up and Zerg Rushing the Hasselbacks into submission.

Anne Hunter

  • Anne using the hunting dance to lure the Scorpileo into a pit trap.
Anne: I am the leaves! I am the morning dew! I am... THE HUNTER!!!

Quarreler's Pass

  • Sprig and Polly are able to imitate other's voices perfectly. They use this skill to save themselves from the olm siblings.

Toadcatcher

  • General Yunan might be a bit hammy, but she's no pushover. With her absurdly sharp wrist blades, she can cut through entire trees with ease and take on both Sasha and Grime at the same time.
  • Sasha's training regimen would put trained soldiers to shame, and it's implied she's been doing it for a while.
  • Grime may be out of practice physically, but he proves that his mind is still sharp when he readily identifies that Sasha's intense training is a coping mechanism to deal with how her relationship with Anne has irreversibly changed.
  • When they realize that they have no choice but to fight Yunan, Grime is fully prepared to face her alone so that Sasha can save herself.
  • Sasha and Grimes battle against Yunan, and at one point Sasha even breaks Yunan's blades after some awesome dodging. Yunan still beats them in direct combat, but they finally defeat her when Sasha tricks her into reciting her list of accomplishments yet again, while Grime sneaks up behind Yunan and throws her off a cliff.
Yunan: This cannot be! I am General Yunan!
Sasha: Oh, yeah! Well, I'm Sasha Waybright! Captain of the cheerleaders, top scorer in Super Dance Fusion, and first lieutenant to Captain Grime!
Grime: And I am Captain Grime! Drinker of Bog Grog, grower of beards, and watcher of Suspicion Island.
Yunan: What? Those titles are weak!

Swamp and Sensibility

  • In the beast-ball game against his father, Wally scores the winning goal by using an accordion that he pulls out of Anne's hair.

Marcy at the Gates

  • Despite being a clumsy klutz, Marcy Wu is shown to be quite the strategist and combat specialist. Special mention to her showing the others that Sprig is still alive after he is swallowed by the ant queen, then leaping into the queen's mouth herself to save him. And after she battles the queen from the inside, the queen hacks up both Marcy and Sprig (with the former having an Eye Colour Change herself, showing that it's not just Anne getting them).
Hop Pop: Who knew these ants were so bouncy?
Marcy: I did, 'cause I studied them!

The Plantars Check In

Sprig Gets Schooled

  • Headmaster Herringbone says that Sprig is the only one to ever get past campus security, and even after everything that's happened, he still finds Sprig impressive enough to maintain his offer of admission to the university for the foreseeable future.

Little Frogtown

  • Hop Pop besting the factory foreman who's almost thrice his size, even after taking a bad opening punch.

Hopping Mall

  • Anne and Sprig win the derby, despite being first-timers at the sport.
  • Polly somehow gets a gold, jewel-encrusted bucket and a snail chauffeur on just two coppers. Apparently all that was holding her back until now was not knowing haggling was possible.

A Day at the Aquarium

  • The Plantars displaying perfect teamwork while fighting the stingrays, using techniques from their earlier adventures like Sprig and Anne's "Set them up/knock them down" routine or Polly's super spit.

The Shut-In!

  • Sprig and Ivy's scheme to win the scary story contest — Sprig telling a story about a monster followed by Ivy showing up dressed as it.
  • The atmosphere of the episode is spectacular, combining writing, sound design, voice acting, animation and art direction to make each scary story seem genuinely chilling, working perfectly despite (or because of) the myriad of jokes.

Return to Wartwood

Ivy on the Run

  • Felicia turns out to be a Mr. Miyagi-esque Trickster Mentor whose obsessive chore lessons were actually teaching Ivy how to fight, as she had quite an adventurous past herself.
  • Wally manages to become Anne's equal at Muay Thai just by watching her teaching Polly.

After the Rain

  • Hop Pop and Anne saving Polly and Sprig.
  • The fact that no one, not even Hop Pop himself, considers him burying the music box the right thing to do. It's nice for the show to show that just because someone had good intentions doesn't mean that they did the right thing.
  • Anne not immediately forgiving Hop Pop, even after the aforementioned saving, and only doing so after he explains the tragic reasoning for his misguided choice.

The First Temple

  • Despite her being clumsy and easily distracted, Marcy Wu proves herself to be a master of puzzles.
  • The show continues its surprisingly mature and realistic look at the fallout of Hop Pop's lie about the music box, as even Anne's explicit forgiveness in the last episode doesn't mean those feelings automatically go away, and she finally admits she has no idea if she'll ever actually be okay with him again.

New Wartwood

  • Marcy easily fixing the statue of the town founder after she accidentally breaks it. At the end of the episode, she also rapidly rebuilds several destroyed houses.
  • How does Marcy save Wartwood from sinking? She summons Joe Sparrow, who then tears off chunks from the newly added architecture, including pieces bigger than he is, and flings them away into the distance.
  • Mayor Toadstool actually steps in to shoulder "a bit of the blame" when Mrs. Croaker starts chewing Marcy out.

Friend or Frobo?

  • If the abilities that Frobo displays in this episode are any indication, the Plantars now have an extremely powerful new ally.

Toad to Redemption

  • When push comes to shove, Mayor Toadstool proves that his loyalties really do lie with Wartwood, launching a sneak-attack on Bog that gives the townsfolk an opening to counterattack.

The Second Temple

  • Anne shows her bravery all throughout the episode, first throwing away her coat to distract the birds that were attacking them at the cost of rising hypothermia. Then, she tries to save a family from an avalanche, only to find out there was no one in the house to begin with. Last, her final task sees her saving Valeriana, even though she had no obligation to and had figured out how to leave the platform of the trial on her own. Anne proves she's a worthy bearer of the power of the Calamity Gem of the heart, not only displaying incredible courage but also showing how much she's grown since her arrival in Amphibia by learning to take responsibility for her actions, learning from her mistakes, and doing the right thing even when she doesn't have to.

Barrel's Warhammer

  • Sasha is a walking moment of awesome, but the cherry on top has to be her single-handedly pulling the warhammer free out of sheer force of will, activating her Calamity powers in the process. She's skilled, smart, and a force to be reckoned with all on her own.
  • The Warhammer is revealed to be a magic-fueled rocket hammer!

Bessie & MicroAngelo

  • Bessie has been chained up inside her stable, the Plantars' wagon is in immediate danger of catching fire, and a bird grabs MicroAngelo when Bessie sends him to put out the fire with a pail of water. What does Bessie do? She yanks hard enough to break her chain, jumps into the sky by using a door as a ramp, smacks the bird out of the air in one hit, catches MicroAngelo in a way that also lets the water fall back into the pail, and finally pulls MicroAngelo into her shell so that they both land safely. (They put out the fire right afterwards.)

The Third Temple

  • Little Sasha giving her all against the bullies that pushed Anne and Marcy off the swings. Sure, she doesn't get to lay a finger on them because she keeps tripping over her own feet, but major points for her determination.
  • Sasha saving Anne, Marcy, and the Plantars from the temple's first trial by slashing one of the lava worms attacking them in half and lifting the heavy hammers provided for the test like it's nothing. And then there's the way she completes the final challenge. With the Plantars, Grime, and Marcy all unable to move due to the increased gravity of the room, Anne and Sasha are the only ones left standing. Eventually they both fall to the ground, but Anne encourages Sasha by bringing up her relentless determination and her inability to give up on her goals. Sasha then gets up, removes her cloak and boots, which weigh so much they crack solid stone, and after climbing the toad colossus she uses gravitational pull to slice the final boss in half, proving that she has enough persistence that she is worthy of the power of the Gem of strength.

The Dinner

  • All three girls working together to take down the hornets.

Battle of the Bands

  • The debut of Anne's song "No Big Deal" about her experiences in Amphibia, complete with a kick-ass guitar solo from Sasha.
  • Grime is so good at playing the harp that he not only wins the Battle of the Bands, but is able to keep the audience's attention for three hours.

True Colors

  • While they are the bad guys, you have to give Sasha and Grime props for smoothly seizing Newtopia.
  • Anne and Sasha's tumultuous friendship reaches its breaking point after Sasha betrays everyone. Anne is so enraged that she goes off on a stunned Sasha, and even goes as far as to break their friendship off completely to everyone's surprise.
Anne: No! I'm done listening to you! I'm done trusting you! You're a horrible person, and I am done. Being. Friends with you!
  • As the heroes are being taken away by toad guards, who should show up to rescue them but General Yunan, scourge of the Sand Wars, defeater of Ragnar the Wretched, and the youngest newt to ever achieve the rank of general in the great Newtopian Army!
  • The rematch between Anne and Sasha. Their first duel pales in comparison to this battle, with dynamic attacks, smooth choreography, and fast-paced movement. Along with Sasha's betrayal, Anne is too fed up and angry to fix their relationship, let alone hold back in fighting her. Whatever bridges between the two were left have all but burned. Of note is that in a reversal of their first duel, Sasha is the one who disarms Anne, while Anne resorts to Combat Pragmatism to gain the upper hand, blinding Sasha with her own cloak before punching her out. It's a clear showing of how both of their fighting skills have improved and become more versatile.
  • Special mention goes to Sprig taking a level in badass and defeating Grime in single combat, using a combination of Deadly Dodging and going for the toad's one good eye, while the latter was wielding Barrel's Warhammer no less. It's also been previously mentioned that Grime used to be a gladiator, yet Sprig holds his own without much trouble. In the later fight against Andrias' army, Sprig also destroys one of the robots entirely on his own by jamming its weapons with mud.
  • To demonstrate his newly acquired power, Andrias fires a laser at Toad Tower, which destroys it in a MASSIVE explosion.
  • For all their differences and their friendship being (possibly) permanently ruined, Anne and Sasha make an excellent duo. They're so in sync and protect each other's backs so easily you'd think they've been training their entire lives for it.
  • Polly getting her legs and being able to use them right away while fleeing from Andrias' attacks.
  • With all hope lost and her best friend seemingly dead, Anne, still connected to her gem, activates a Super Mode comprised of a blue aura and hair and delivers a beatdown to Andrias, decimating his robo-frog army with little effort. What's more, Anne can't control her new power, is running on pure rage and with the gem only half-charged. If she's this strong on instinct, how powerful will she be when she knows what she's doing? This moment is further amplified with an Animation Bump to emphasize the epic battle. The orchestral cover of "No Big Deal" from the episode "Battle of the Bands" just makes the scene even more epic to behold.
  • Credit to Andrias while facing Anne's Super Mode. Anne hits him with such force that his crown, which has rounded points, sails clear across the room and is embedded in the rear wall. Yet Andrias takes it on the chin and comes back swinging. It goes to show just how tough he is.
  • Marcy saving Sprig by throwing herself out the window of the floating castle, then calling in Joe Sparrow to catch them both in midair. It's worth noting that she does this while Anne was activating her Super Mode: under any other circumstance, Marcy would have probably been the first to gawk and geek out at her friend unexpectedly gaining superpowers, but here, she is still fresh off the realization that she has hurt her friends deeply, and takes the first chance she gets to set things right.
