And The Fandom Rejoiced / Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network are the KINGS and QUEENS of this trope.
  • This trailer for Batman: The Brave and the Bold helped dispel fears that the show's lighthearted tone would turn it into a lesser entry in Batman's career.
  • The Super Hero Squad Show? Must be Marvel Comics' attempt to cash in like The Brave And The Bold. Whoa! Look at Cast who's voicing who!
  • Robin returning in season 4 of The Batman, as well as Black Mask's first animated appearance.
  • Ben 10: Ultimate Alien: Wait, is that every one of Ben's forms from the original series?
    • Oh, there's Kevin. Holy crap, did he turn evil again!?
    • Time Travel episode again? Yawn. Wait, Paradox and Ben 10,000!? And he has an ULTIMATE HUMAN FORM!?
  • Total Drama is getting a season three? With two newcomers that are just Expies of older ones? Aw man, as if season two didn't suck enou- Wait. Noah and Cody are back?! The writers do care!
    • For some fans, Ezekiel gave the same reaction.
  • A Looney Tunes marathon! There's hope!" And to a lesser extent, this article.
  • The news that Samurai Jack will finally see a proper ending in the form of a theatrical film after CN left it lying in the dust. The movie will be produced by J. J. Abrams.
  • "More bad new shows? Oi, when will Cartoon Network learn...Wait a second, Adventure Time? Eh, lemme give it a try."
    • I'll also try Regular Show .
    • Don't forget Generator Rex, created by the same guys behind Ben 10!
      • And for Generator Rex in particular, there are four words that sum it up: "Great. Breach is back."
  • So the Nood era finally came to Latin America...Wait, they're Toonix now? Better music? Individual bumpers? Latin America gets all the fun indeed! Wow!
    • Cartoon Planet is all well and good but the 90's still haven't gotten their rightful attention. What's that? A new channel? What's its name? Tooncast? Oh, well, if we didn't already have enough with Boomerang and its sucky soap oper— WHAT?! They host all the 90s cartoons? EVEN THE ADS?! And they have Dexter's Laboratory?! *Squee!* (Once again, Latin America-only, unfortunately.)
  • Wait, a NEW THUNDERCATS SHOW on Cartoon Network?!
  • Cartoon Network's new DC Nation block caught a few eyes with announcements that Lauren Faust is working on a series of shorts (Super Best Friends Forever), brand new Teen Titans shorts, and the Plastic Man TV Show finally being made (though likely in short format). The trailer can be found here.
    • Ahem. Let me rephrase that: TEEN TITANS is coming back? With the ORIGINAL VOICE ACTORS? Awesome, but they'll only be a couple minutes...Greg Cipes confirmed that there is a possibility for SEASON SIX? AHHH!!
    • Tara Strong is Batgirl again!!
    • Aaaannndddd...it's confirmed! Teen Titans Go! is coming in 2013 to a TV near you.
      • Those who were anticipating the show later came to regret it, as the series is considered the worst Cartoon Network show of all time. And unfortunately for them, the network is in love with it, either for financial reasons, or because they now have a weapon to shitcan any show that doesn't suit their increasingly-strict moral standards. The show does have it's adult fans however, though the Hatedom is more vocal, and the adult fandom is accused of being tasteless. Either way, most of the adult fans are just parents who watch the show with their kids.
  • After promoting the hell out of them, Dude, What Would Happen? and Destroy Build Destroy ARE FINALLY GONE!!!
  • Did Andy Merill say they might reboot Cartoon Planet?!?!? (Go to 5:54 for proof!)
    • Greater news, Cartoon Network will host a Friday night block of classics hosted by Brak and Zorak! OUR PRAYERS HAVE FINALLY BEEN ANSWERED!!! Starts March 30th at 8pm. And they're bringing back I Am Weasel and EVIL. CON. CARNE.
    • Adding to that, even though it was an April Fools joke, Adult Swim had a block of TOONAMI! MORE PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED! EVEN IF ONLY FOR ONE NIGHT!
  • Cartoon Network airing Wallace & Gromit for the first time in years.
  • Cartoon Network actually acknowledging its 20th anniversary with bumpers with CLASSIC HANNA-BARBERA CHARACTERS. AND A THROWBACK TO THE POWERHOUSE LOOK!!! Say it with me now: SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
  • Ben 10: Omniverse, aside from some rather tacky character redesigns, is decent than one would think.
    • Derrick Wyatt doing the character designs and the somewhat more varied vocal cast, as well as the return of the young Ben Tennyson. Yeah, the original Ben Tennyson has a new design, like mentioned above. But still...
    • Articguana is finally unlocked and used.
    • Vilgax's design hasn't improved all that much. What's with that crown? ...Wait a second, is that Steve Blum reprising the role!?!
  • It appears Cartoon Network has new movie bumps for their movies. It appears they are awesome, reminiscent of CN's old Toon City bumps from 2003.
  • The Boondocks: When John Witherspoon, Granddad's VA, confirmed that Aaron McGruder had begun production on season 4 despite earlier statements that season 3 would be the last one. Cue millions of people doing this.
  • Man, I really miss Sym-Bionic Titan—whoa, whoa, whoa, IT'S COMING TO ADULT SWIM'S TOONAMI?!?! AND SO IS THUNDERCATS?!?!?! YES!!!!
    • Let's paraphrase that again—it's actually airing on Adult Swim, and not Cartoon Network. Yes, you heard me, Adult Swim, the not-for-kids version of Cartoon Network, is airing it.
  • They're rebooting THE POWERPUFF GIRLS!!
  • And now, to please the ballooning Fionna and Cake fandom that's bigger than the real series itself, another gender swap episode has been confirmed. What makes this a ATFR moment? It's being focused on Marshall Lee, who barely got a freaking line in the original F&C episode!
  • WHY is Cartoon Network still releasing Adventure Time compilations even though they just released a full season?! Wait, is this one featuring episodes from all four seasons each? IS IT ALSO COMING WITH A FREE FINN HAT?! OK, Warner Home Video, just SHUT UP and take my money!
  • Regular Show got an Emmy award!
  • Dexter's Rude Removal is coming to AdultSwim.com?! JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY!!!!!!!!
    • And after a month long delay, IT'S FINALLY HERE!
    • Unfortunately, the video is now in "private" mode. *sigh*
  • Rebecca Sugar (Adventure Time storyboard artist and songwriter) is getting her own show... and it'll be the first Cartoon Network show with a solo female creator?! WAHOOOOO!!!!!!
  • They're going to make new comic books starring classic characters!
  • Okay, so Ben 10: Omniverse is doing...not so great. What's next? Wait...what's this? T.G.I.S (Thank goodness it's Saturday) What do we have here...Wait, Ben 10 crossing over with The Secret Saturdays?! You've gotta be kidding me!!! ESPECIALLY since The Secret Saturdays is not on TV anymore!
  • There is a chance that the amazing show Megas XLR might be coming back. Also, there might be a game deal with Valve in the works.
    • To quote a fellow Twitter member, "This is up there with my wife telling me she's pregnant. Well, almost."
  • Incredible Crew is cancelled. CARTOON NETWORK IS AN ALL-TOON CHANNEL ONCE MORE!
  • THERE'S GOING TO BE A NEW SONIC ANIMATED SHOW COMING!!
  • In February 2014, Toonami announced they will be doing a sequel to the famed Intruder special for 2015! Adding to this, their reasoning for announcing the special a year ahead of time is because they want fans to decide the longevity of said special.
    • Sonny Strait, TOM's original voice actor, returns as the voice of the Intruder! Suddenly it's less a welcome return of an old concept and more of a love letter to what made Toonami great to begin with.
  • IDW IS MAKING A CROSSOVER COMIC OF ALL THE CLASSIC SHOWS! HYPE!
  • Ever since Stuart Snyder was put in charge, CN has been going downhill. The network would be better off without him... HE'S FINALLY RESIGNING?!... But only time will tell if his replacement, Christina Miller, will be better... or worse. So far, there hasn't been any major screw-ups, so she's doing well.
  • Johnny Test, one of the most absolutely reviled cartoons of its time, getting pushed to back to airing only for one hour early in the morning after years of being Adored by the Network? Yes, please!
    • And according to a Teletoon news article, IT'S NOT GETTING RENEWED AND WILL MOST LIKELY END AFTER THE CURRENT SEASON FINISHES! The long nightmare may finally be over.
    • Its early morning hour has been pushed forward....At the "cost" of it losing its weekend slots. Very good signs all around.
    • Now it's on mid day...seems they're trying for the "coming home from school" demographic.
    • As of September 15, its last spot has been replaced with reruns of The Amazing World of Gumball (though, as of this writing on October 1, 2014, it's been replaced by reruns of Teen Titans Go! and the Pokémon XY anime). Now it truly is over (save for a Christmas Day marathon of episodes they had in 2014).
  • Hey, Cartoon Network is airing a Lego Batman special! Well, Lego specials are always fun to watch, so maybe it could be worth checking out... Troy Baker is Batman again?! Nolan North is Superman again?! Paul Reubens and Khary Payton are back as Bat-Mite and Cyborg! Nevermind, this is must-see!!
  • Adventure Time is getting a miniseries and a theatrical film?! Mathematical!
    • It gets better. The miniseries revolves around Marceline and will further delve into her past!
  • Mixels is getting actual half-hour specials and is actually being recognized by the channel's schedule? Awesome!
  • Gee, it's such a drag that Cartoon Network only targets boys. Don't they know that girls like cartoons too? Wait, CN is becoming more gender-neutral? And they're developing a slew of pilots made mostly by women? Oh, happy day!
  • Ladies and gentlemen, [adult swim] 2016. Jack. Is. BACK!
    • PHIL LAMARR IS REPRISING HIS ROLE!!!
  • A new Justice League Yes! Wait, Justice League Action, based on the current format of modern CN shows. I don't kn—Hold on, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are back as Batman and the Joker?! YES!
  • Damn it CN, why do you have to screw with Steven Universe so much? Hiatus after hiatus, we've only gotten eleven episodes between September 2015 and April 2016! It's like you don't even care about your best...wait, what's this Summer of Steven event? Hmm, a week of new episodes? Great, but then it'll just be another months of waiting like the last two times. Wait, Steven Universe is returning in May? With a four week special event called In Too Deep?! HECK YEAH!!!
    • Followed up with the announcement that Summer of Steven isn't just a bomb... It's a nuke. While it may be a month late, it's airing a new episode every weeknight for the rest of the summer. Let's emphasize, more than a dozen episodes in two months. Needless to say, people were stoked.
  • 'Over the Garden Wall had an amazing score. The option to silence the vocal track on the dvd was nice so we could hear it, but such an amazing score deserves a...wait, It's getting a proper soundtrack?! And on vinyl, for that vintage feel! Wert would approve.
  • So, Cartoon Network is now airing a cartoon based on the Bunnicula book series? Well, it sounds interesting, but I don't know... Cartoon Network shows are pretty hit-or-miss these days (the latter unfortunately being more common)... Wait, what? Maxwell Atoms is one of the Writers and Producers?! You have my attention.
  • This Island Adventure thing was kind of cool, but it doesn't save the...wait, they're fighting all the villains? In an actual honest to god fight scene? A cameo of previous continuity villains at the end? SLADE APPEARS!? I don't care if that was for a few seconds; those were the best few seconds the show's given us at one time!
