* ForWantOfANail: In ''Mary Skelter 2'' she's alive and working for the Dawn with her girlfriend Otsuu, in addition to Red Riding Hood, who together find Jack and Alice. Lack of knowledge of Blood Skelter results in Alice's transformation throwing the group, excluding Red Riding Hood, down into the caves below. The increase in injuries sustained leads to Jack becoming a friendly Nightmare not so different from Hansel. The lack of realization regarding his behavior leaves Tohjima free to push his unethical experiments without pause, resulting in [[spoiler:Cinderella]] instead becoming the first known victim of Blood Skelter. This lack of restraint would leave Haru needing to devote even more of an effort to keep him in line rendering him incapable of taking on Clara as an apprentice, resulting in her becoming the Wandering Merchant instead. [[spoiler: This is a result of Otsuu's interference in the past.]]

* ForWantOfANail: While not as drastic as Little Mermaid, the second game's prequel novel is dedicated to showing how her mere existence sends the backstory flying off of the rails. While not the primary or even secondary reason why [[spoiler:Chiaki gets murdered by a mimic of Cinderella]], she puts Tohjima's Blood Maiden strategy way ahead of "schedule" and inadvertently causes [[spoiler:Chiaki]] to become more suspicious of the setting than the first game, which sets the stage for the aforementioned tragedy.

* BoobsOfSteel: She may very well be larger than even Sleeping Beauty, and her [[{{Underboobs}} top barely manages to come down enough keep them covered]]. The only character in Jack's party that can match her in terms of power is Alice, and even then Charlotte has her clearly beat on flexibility due to the variety of skills she has.

* SympathyForTheDevil: Defied. While Jack and Otsuu are sympathetic to the Devouring Armada Tower Nightmare, and even Alice, Charlotte, and Little Mermaid are put off by its master killing it while it begs for help. Mary views [[KickTheSonOfABitch the whole situation as fully justified and could not care less]]. [[spoiler: Having never experienced being a Nightmare herself, and having been specifically targeted by Guillotine for assassination that only failed because of her lack of presence and her familiar wearing her clothes to bed, Mary has no common ground and a deeply personal grudge to keep her from having any sympathy.]]

* FashionDesigner: While making clothing is merely a hobby for her in ''Mary Skelter Finale'', and limited to accessories due to a lack of material, she handles making clothing for everyone in ''Mary Skelter: Locked Up in Love - True End''. Notably she makes her own tuxedo, as well as one for Jack, and Little Mermaid, Hikari, Kaede, and Jack's wife's [[FairytaleWeddingDress wedding dresses]].

* BladeOnAStick: Fittingly enough her spear type weapon is depicted as a trident. Curiously most of her jobs can't actually use spear type weapons, including the one specifically showing her using it.

* TheSpock: While not as emotionless as she initially believes herself to be she still goes out of her way to favor a logical approach to everything, which frequently puts her at odds with the more emotional team members. At one point she states that she views emotionally based activities, Blood Libidos specifically, as being no different than "[[ADateWithRosiePalms indulging in orgasm]]". The English dub gives her the [[SpockSpeak voice patterns to match]].

* SignificantHeadgear: She wears a black beret, and is even referred to as Beret Girl before Jack learns her name.

* TheChick: If it isn't Jack doing it, Sleeping Beauty is often the one to calm things down.

* SuperOCD: All of them hold at least one obsession drawn from the FairyTale they're based on. This trait is eventually given the term Blood Libido. [[spoiler: This behavior is due to the nature of their Marchen side's mimicry enforcing traits of their stories.]]
** Jack: Obsessed with climbing.
** Alice: Obsessed with motive and things making logical sense, also obsessed with tea parties.
** Red Riding Hood: Obsessed with headwear.
** Snow White: Afraid of mirrors, excessively pessimistic about her looks.

** Sleeping Beauty: Perpetually drowsy, often dreams of a prince.
** Gretel: Insatiable curiosity, has a sweet tooth.
** Rapunzel: Obsessed with producing offspring and retaining her long hair.
** Cinderella: Obsessed with clothing, accessories (particularly her slipper-shaped earrings) and cleaning.
** Kaguya: Excessively lazy, a nagging feeling that she belongs elsewhere.

** Otsuu: Obsessed with returning favors. ''Finale'' has her develop one for weaving in secret as well, something that Jack notes is new.

** Mary: Compulsively attempts to escape into her fantasies.
** Charlotte: By her own admission Alice is her obsession, with many of her actions being dictated by how it would affect her.
** Pyre: She has a need to burn people to death. Unlike any other character she actively resists her Blood Libido at all times, as she has no true desire to kill anyone.

* BuxomIsBetter: She's the most developed between her, Thumbelina, and Snow White, which Gretel quickly points out along with casually noting that people like full figures. Natually, Jack gets roped into this conversation and is made out to be a pervert by Thumbelina and even Snow White.

* InnocentInnuendo: Completely and utterly defied. Otsuu and Thumbelina break into her room after hearing Jack screaming, only to see Gretel in her underwear directly between Jack's legs. She's determined to find out if Nightmares have a sex drive, and is rather thrilled with who came in as it gives a chance to test if Jack [[BuxomIsBetter likes them bigger]] or has a "Lolita fetish". Jack takes the opportunity to run during the ensuing fight.

** MegaTwintails: Her hair is done up like this in the first game, while the second has it done up as a Mega TomboyishPonytail.

* ThePromise: Early on in ''Mary Skelter 2'' she promises to help reunite Otsuu and Little Mermaid with their friends from the Dawn. After Tohjima's body had finally been found, and only Alice and Red Riding Hood remain unaccounted for, Hameln begins to feel distressed about the end of their agreement and how even then she's been less and less able to be her idea of a "hero" for them due to everyone relying on each other equally. Otsuu proposes a second promise, to get the survivors out safely when the time comes to escape the Jail. [[spoiler: [[DownerEnding She]] [[KillEmAll fails]].]]

* CriticalResearchFailure: InUniverse. Thanks to whatever manga she was reading, she believes that the game of "tag" involves chasing down the other party and killing them. She eventually gets corrected on it as she plays it with Rapunzel, Cinderella, Thumbelina, and Alice a couple times later on. Mostly corrected anyway, Cinderella and Rapunzel's destructive [[FastballSpecial Golden Shot]] apparently being fair game in her mind.

* {{Gainaxing}}: Her sprite's animation loop causes her massive breasts to constantly move up and down without stopping.

* PunnyName: A joke to her name is LostInTranslation. The Kanji for Oya in Oyayubihime mainly holds meanings relating to familial closeness, fitting for someone with sisters, but it also roughly means "card dealer" as well tying in to her WeaponOfChoice.

* ShesGotLegs: Being a KickChick, this is to be expected. Just to drive the point home, she wears her Dawn armband around her thigh in her default class.

* DarkSkinnedRedhead: By default her hair is an [[RoseHairedSweetie incredibly light pink]], it goes [[DarkSkinnedBlonde white]] like any other in Massacre and Blood Skelter forms.

* SingleTargetSexuality: Little Mermaid has only romantic interest in Otsuu to the point that she is one of the few girls who has no ShipTease with Jack at all. In fact, her ending in ''Finale'' has her married to Otsuu instead.
