Daily Lives of High School Boys is one manga/anime based on Seinfeldian Conversation, though its Distaff Counterpart segment, Highschool Girls Are Funky, while shorter, adds more depth to the characters. It deconstructs the Loving Bully trope with Habara and Karasawa, with Habara's attempts to have a normal relationship with him (and boys in general) ending in miserable failure and Karasawa horribly afraid of her.
The swing between comedy and drama makes sense if you pick from where it started, basically Karasawa accidentally inducing A Cup Angst on her, to which she doesn't react well. The beginning is quite Played For Drama, with Yanagin in the hospital (Wham Line: "Archdemon has been awakened!"), Karasawa having to face his fear of her. But then things go back to silly side of the scale, but in a way that actually makes sense for the flavor of the show.
