good, but read the book

The series was intereating, but deverged a LOT from the book. Mainly from the book being very dark also the series.

I am also of the belief that changing Jim's backstory was done for PC motivations and everything else came after. Also the change in Clair's personality. Is something I could do with out. In the book she was willing to go toe to toe with steve and threaten him with physical violence. In the series she tells Jim not to punch the bully. Some times the only way to deal with a bully is to fight back.

Bad review. You don\'t go in dept in your arguments. How is diverging from the book bad? What could they have done to improve? Are there any good points to the show?.

\"I am also of the belief that changing Jim\'s backstory was done for PC motivations and everything else came after.\"

What do you mean?.

\"Some times the only way to deal with a bully is to fight back.\"

And sometimes it will just lead to the bully breaking one or two of your ribs. Simply because you can intimidate a bully doesn\'t mean you can intimidate them all. I would say that both ways Claire dealt with him in both versions are equally as valid.

Nessa Ellenese, the gist of your review “good but read the book” perfectly sums up my thoughts on the How to Train Your Dragon movies. I haven’t read the source material for Trollhunters though I think you had a good point about Claire’s objections to Jim physically responding to Palchuck feeling forced. That said as someone who hasn’t read the book, I feel that I need slightly more detail about the book event you’re referencing to understand your review.

Matitya, I would ask you for clarification but I don\'t think this is the place for it. Mind to post a review of How to Train Your Dragon?.

I probably will but my point is essentially that I like the How to Train Your Dragon books quite a bit to the point where it’s almost annoying that the How to Train Your Dragon movies which are only based thereupon in the broadest possible sense of the phrase are as good as they are to the point where my sentiments about them could be neatly summed up as “they’re good but read the books”.

Okay? That logic, honestly, makes no sense to me and makes me even more curious for what your review could be like.

Alright. I just wrote a review of How To Train Your Dragon, specifically because you asked for one. It’s a bit lengthy. Essentially it says that I love the books and wish they hadn’t undergone adaptation displacement.
