Cheap and fun. What more could you ask for?

Now I'm not very familiar with rhythm games; but if this is what they're like, maybe I should get used to them. The game is relatively cheap when I got it (about $16 off the eShop), and I've spent a lot of time playing it non-stop.

The concept is simple: the main character runs along a path, and you can (generally) jump over or hit obstacles. What to do can be seen; When to do it depends on the music, the main gimmick.

The story is simple fairytale stuff. Graphically, it looks decent, but I was expecting a bit more. I love the cartoony art style, though. It fits the game a lot.

The music, though... It's simply great as-is. The fact more instruments are added for each correct action is just icing on the cake, and a motive for better reruns.

The game is easy if you just want to beat the story. If you want to get gold on all the stages and redo all the stages at double the speed, though, you'd best brace yourself.

The only people I wouldn't recommend this game for are the (tone-)deaf and those who just can't keep up with the game's speed. Or, you know, have non-working A/B (or X/Y) buttons, but you've got bigger issues in that case.

The game has a demo. Try it out. It covers the tutorial, the first world, one of the bonus stages and the second boss.
