The What Do You Mean, It's for Kids? entry on this page looks eyebrow-raising to me. For one, it mentions the MPAA giving the film a pass, which I'm not sure is 100% accurate, and there's Natter below it. What should we do about it?

Divided up the examples the way the main page does (Series Wide and each movie individually).

Lotso is not a Complete Monster. His villainy is not played straight in each of his scenes, and he is given a solid Freudian Excuse. Why is he so closely and inextricably linked with being a Complete Monster everywhere on this Wiki? Is it Trope Decay? Is it because all of the Toy Story-loving Tropers are so outraged by his treatment of the main characters that they give him the worst possible label at all times? Whatever it is, it's inaccurate and completely pervasive.

He left the toys to DIE in the incinerator. How is that not Complete Monster material?

Being a Complete Monster according to the trope definition requires a few things:

  • Being very evil/cruel by story standards. Yep, he fits that.
  • Never being portrayed sympathetically or humorously. He doesn't qualify for that.
  • Never regretting what he does or showing remorse. I don't know if that's the case with Lotso.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
