  • Unfortunate Implications: Some viewers have called a What the Hell, Hero? after watching Bond's seduction of Severine. Mendes likely never intended to have it interpreted as such but, given Severine's background, there's a strong possibility that when Bond initiated sex she may have felt like she had no choice in the matter.
    • Then there's his apparent complete lack of caring (he even tosses off a Bond One-Liner!) when Severine is killed. Many people were pissed off at this invocation of Disposable Woman.
      • Then again, straight afterwards he shoots the Mooks out and delivers a pretty vicious kick to Silva. Many would file that kind of reaction under Tranquil Fury.
    • It's possible to look at the movie and see it as a statement on how women screw things up, and men have to fix it. Eve is a pretty stellar field agent, all things considered, yet decides being in the field is too much and needs to be Mallory's secretary M's choice in dealing with Silva is treated as sometimes treated as terrible, fueling Silva's revenge, yet she saved several lives, and in the end all she loses nearly all agency so she can be defended by men.

Moving this here because it requires citations. The last bullet point's wording especially raised alarm bells—this is not the place to put offensive content in a work, or analyze how it's sexist/racist/ableist, whatever. This is where people can write about the work accidentally offended the audience that viewed it. This also appears to have a bit of natter, so that also needs to be cleaned up.

On that last bullet, I direct you to this post here that analyzes the sexism that can be perceived in that comment: http://siryouarebeingmocked.tumblr.com/post/63969595601/tvtropes-ymmv-skyfall-spoilers

So we really can't go by one person's interpretation. If this was a reaction that many people had, unprompted, then fine. I know that the sexism in Bond films is a bit of a touchy subject, and having not watched this one I don't feel I know enough to fix this up.

I'd still feel that filing Bond's seduction of Severine under Unfortunate Implications is justified, since it's definitely not one person's opinion (Cinema Sins pointed it out in their Skyfall video, and I'm sure you can find more), and it's extremely unlikely it was on purpose (because the film treats her background as a sex slave as more of a Dark and Troubled Past and she's depicted as having become more cynical and worldly). I agree with taking out the last post. You want to discuss sexism in Bond films, there's probably some place on the internet for that, but it's not the YMMV page.
