It's an unfortunate coincidence but totally unnecessary.

Gathering Ho Yay examples from here and the now-cutlisted HoYay.Deadpool 2 page to see if any are worth keeping.

Keep in mind, Ho Yay is for scenes that could accidentally be interpreted as homoerotic. Explicitly homoerotic scenes might go in Homoerotic Subtext, or nowhere if they're just plain text. My comments will be third-level bullets in Bold.

• Ho Yay:
  • A promotional image for the film is an homage to a classic Norman Rockwell painting of a family sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner... with Deadpool and Cable taking the spot of the elderly couple at the head of the table.
    • Move to Homoerotic Subtext. This is subtle, but given the rest of the film, certainly not accidental.
  • Cable calls Deadpool handsome and says "you remind me of my wife", while applying lip balm to himself.
    • Just cut. This is blatantly the entire point of the scene.
  • Wade grabs Colossus' ass when hugging him. Colossus removes his hand, but when Wade does it again he relents.
    • Cut. The gayness is the entire point of it.
  • Wade appears under his window blasting music, something he had promised his girlfriend Vanessa.
    • Sorta considering keep, except that the whole third act Deadpool/Colossus thing makes it apparent their entire thing is an intentional sendup of getting a lover back. So I'd say either cut or put in Does This Remind You of Anything?
  • When Wade gets impaled in the brain, he makes sexual gestures towards Colossus
    • Obviously cut.
  • Vanessa outright tells Wade "Don't fuck Colossus."
    • Ditto.

From the Ho Yay page:

• Considering how Ho Yay worthy Cable and Deadpool were in the comics...
  Cable: You remind me of my wife. Deadpool: I'm sorry? Cable: You remind me of my wife. Deadpool: No I got that, I'm sorry you said that staring intensely into my eyes while applying lip balm.
  • Also Cable has now canonically had Deadpool's crotch on his face and seen his penis. So there's that.
    • Again, cut. This is the intention of the scene. It's not even subtext.
  • Not to mention Cable using his one leftover charge of his timetravel device to save Wade's life in the end instead of going back to his family, saying that he's going to stick around in this time for a while and try to make the future turn out better. Implying that he thinks Wade being alive makes this timeline better.
    • This can probably stay. The fact Cable is ultimately choosing to be with Deadpool instead of his wife seems pretty Ho Yay-y.
• Deadpool gives Colossus the ol' butt grab at one point. Wade also gets impaled through the head in a Call-Back to the climax in the first film, and has the same slow-motion romantic scene...only with Colossus.
  • Which includes Deadpool inexplicably making the scissoring gesture.
    • Duplicate of one I said cut to.
  • When Deadpool and Vanessa say goodbye in the afterlife, she tells him not to fuck Colossus.
    • Duplicate of one I said cut to.
• Juggernaut threatening to melt Colossus down into a cock ring.
  • Lacks context, but could in theory work. I personally don't see if, but if someone wants to expand it, I wouldn't be against it on principle.
