Why's the trivia page on The Dark Age of Animation was deleted for unknown reasons?

Having not seen it, probably because Useful Notes pages aren't works pages and likely wouldn't get a Trivia page.

You know guys, I don't think it's fair to label such animated masterpieces as Rocky & Bullwinkle, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Scooby-Doo, Underdog, and George of the Jungle collectively as a "dark age" of animation. I suggest that the title of the article be renamed to something more appropriate or objective, such as "The Early Television Age Of Animation".

That is how this class of animation is referred to.

So, who cares? Why not change the name of this particular class of animation?

Because the rest of the world uses this name. Arbitrarily renaming things is not done at all.

So you say the rest of the world uses the term "dark age" of animation for cartoons as early as the late 1950s and 1960s? I've never heard of such a thing. Wikipedia, for instance, does not label any era a dark age of animation. You will need tons of documented, well-established proof to back up your claim. If you fail to do so, your opinion ought not be considered seriously.

Drop the dismissive tone, dude.

I am googling and I see plenty of places using the term, and it has 1350 offsite links. And "early television age" sounds even less correct to me, since animation is far older than that era. Besides, Trope Repair Shop does discuss renames, not wiki discussion pages.

What the hell is wrong with a "tone" like that? Is it against the rules? Other than that, I will leave you in peace, and go to the "repair shop" when I get an opportunity.

"If you fail to do so, your opinion ought not be considered seriously. " is not particularly nice. Not action-worthy itself, but not very nice, and we live for having this place be friendly and collegial.

Oh, OK. Thank you for your input, and I'm sorry for sounding unfriendly. I would like to know now how not to make the same mistake(s) again. I want to improve as a Troper, of course. I would like to contact you elsewhere, but as of now I have no idea how I would do that...

Well, what do you want to talk about?

I would like to discuss what I could do to get my point across without making the same mistakes like the one I made earlier with you. That's pretty much it, for now.

TBH, I don't think I can help. Renames without evidence of a serious problems are very frowned upon.

I wasn't saying I made a mistake with requesting to rename the article. I was talking about the tone I used with you that you were nice enough to address.

Ah, I see the page has been revised. That's good, though I still think it too prejudiced against the animation of the 1960's.

Animators do have children of their own. Sooner or later, they’re going to notice your work. And sooner or later, one of them is going to take over the business.

It is the ultimate irony that those of us born during the Dark Age would become the single most important audience the Golden Age has ever seen.
