Do we really need that Cracked link? It seems to be really out of place.
Hide / Show RepliesI tend to agree. Are we advertising for Cracked.com now, or do you want ad revenue for yourselves? Cracked links will lead away from TV Tropes. Think about it.
Not to mention, you can just READ the article and put those six or so links here yourself. Heck, I'm gonna do that now.
Edited by KelniusEh? If there's a blog or a video or an image or a comic or an article that's relevant to the example on the page, we link to it. We don't need to work on trapping people here forever (that happens by itself!); indeed, building out of our wiki-bubble is likely a good thing.
Cracked does us the favour of linking to wiki pages quite a lot. I don't see why we can't acknowledge them in return.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I was trying to figure out the difference between Remakes & Reboots, and this page suggests: "only a long-running series can be rebooted". Is that really true? I mean, there were four 90s Batman movies, but does that make Batman Begins a Remake, since it wasn't that long? Or is that long enough. And is there an actual difference between Remake & Reboot? It seems this is from a different time, when rebooting NEWER series seemed a quaint little idea. But that is no longer the case, I'm afraid.
I'd fix the trope page myself, but I don't know where to begin on this one, and I fear I too would get it wrong.
