Re cut: Looking at the page, I can see that there is no overlap at all between the examples on Guns Are Worthless and Never Bring a Gun to a Knife Fight. And I can easily see why, considering that all examples on the latter are about individual fights, whereas the latter is a plot trope about guns not being very effective.

I do not think that this page is a duplicate of Guns Are Worthless, in other words. A subtrope maybe, but not a duplicate.

Agreed. Guns Are Worthless are more of a setting trope, while this is generally a character or scene trope.

Either way, they're definitely not the same thing.
