A - do they have to be canonically albino, or just have very white hair and skin? B - what do you do with characters who are not 100% good or evil? (or even if they are revealed one way or the other by the end, you want to avoid spoiling that?)

I made this Idolized Julius Kingsley icon back when Akito first came out, and now that the crossover is actually happening, I don't care.

I just have to ask: is there a bigger version of the page image? It's the most freaking adorable picture of Rei I've ever seen.

No idea, I get the feeling it's part of a different picture.

Would Heidimarie from Strike Witches count? While her profile doesn't state albino, she has various traits including her eyes being quite sensative to light. The Heroic part comes in terms of her role as a witch, going on various missions to patrol/take down Neuroi.

Traits? Red eyes while/slivery hair pale skin Eyes being hyper sensative to light.

This disputed example turned into a thread-mode discussion, so here it is for discussing:

  • Baldr from the Norse myth cycle is described thus; "He is so fair of feature, and so bright, that light shines from him. A certain herb is so white that it is likened to Baldr's brow; of all grasses it is whitest, and by it thou mayest judge his fairness." Which gives us a rare example of both a heroic and apparently attractive albino.
    • Your Mileage May Vary about that theory. I don't think it's ever actually said in Norse mythology that Baldur is an albino, just that he is very fair. One can be fair without being an albino, especially if you are a god.
      • Or Scandinavian.

In some sources, it's actually said that the whitest of the gods is Heimdall. Make that of what you will.

Cute as the picture is, do we want to use Rei? Her hair's actually *blue.*

She's also not exactly heroic. Sut she's kinda ambiguous.

Groovy.

I think we should mention that Heroic Albinos are rarely actually albino but just have similar outwards appearances.
