Because one troper who will remain nameless insisted on bringing up a minor bit of exposition and using it to bash the movie, saying it utterly sucked and this imagined Plot Hole brought the whole movie down. He did this for several months, and at least one other troper escalated it to an ad hominem edit war.
Same reason the original Just Bugs Me page for the film was put on the Permanent Red Link Club, because one guy just couldn't let go of a 10-second bit of exposition.
Why is it still locked now, at least 6 months (from the time of the above posts) since the conflict, aside from inertia?
I rarely visit the forums to avoid the cynicism ooze.
Would it be possible for, say, mods to get limited access to the edit page? I ask because there is an external Pot Hole to The Other Wiki on... *checks* the entry for Everythings Better With Princesses that was mistyped, or something, and now reads as "Prince_as_a_reigning_monarch reigning princess"
