Here to discuss the Hide Your Gays entry under Adam. First, I would like to clear up what the objection is. Do you believe that facts of what I wrote are wrong? Or that they are right but do not constitute an example?

The fact of the matter was, it was pretty clear what their relationship was meant to be ("don't I mean enough to you", "if you go, don't expect me to be there when you get back"). If the character was a woman, we wouldn't be having this conversation and it would be blatant. It feels like you're holding a gay couple to a different standard.

I feel like Adam and Shiro qualify for this trope, if perhaps a Downplayed version. It's obvious enough from the S 7 E 1 flashback that Adam isn't just any Garrison colleague, but he's such a minor character and has minimal screentime that without interviews (so yeah, Word of Gay), you could believe they're just Heterosexual Life-Partners and they're both straight.

First off, that is a totally valid concern. But, we need to recognize that this show exists in a wider context, and that in that context same-sex relationships are extremely rare in family media, and are are almost always reduced to subtext. That's why we have Hide Your Gays but no Hide Your Straights, it's part of a pattern in media, which is, after all, what a trope is. I agree with the above that the announcement beforehand amounted to Word of Gay, because without it we would list Adam and Shiro as Ambiguously Gay, and would likely call their relationship Heterosexual Life-Partners. Looked at compared to the heterosexual relationships in the show, we see a clear discrepancy, as they all at least make some explicit mention of romantic feelings, making Adam and Shiro stand out enough in this regard to be called Hide Your Gays.

I'm seeing a lot of character profiles on the page, I think we need to split them up into separate pages.

Pages: Team Voltron, Galra Empire (Zarkon's forces, Lotor's crew, Robeasts) Allies (Blade of Marmora, Family Members, some of the other characters), Other Characters (Rolo's gang, Galaxy Garrison, Former Paladins, Alternate Universe)?

Already made three pages so far. The rest are welcome to fix anything if I made any errors so far.

If Zarkon's armor is a spoilered folder (which goes against Spoiler Policy), it may be better to uncomment out the entire entry until release.

Is Lance terrified of ghosts? Because he was quick to suggest that the castle was haunted after getting stuck in the cryo pod. He screamed when the pod retracted and acted very fidgety when the lights flickered.

Also, could Lance be biracial? In the second ep we found out that Lance's mind is pretty much occupied with his family. If you freeze the frame you'll notice that some adult couples are of different race. Let's not forget that Lance also has blue eyes. Or I may be reading into this too much and he's actually fully Cuban, considering that there are white Cubans...

That's a possibility! However, the creators have only confirmed the Cuban part.

You know who I hope to see from the old cartoon? Well, aside from Lotor of course: Karp.

Uh y'know Karp...arrogant alien pilot that demanded his robeast gets colored red to match his starfighters? I bet the people on this show could do him some justice.

Might be better to bring this up on the Voltron LD forum thread.
