Regarding Sova's Badass Normal status:

Just noticed Sova has what looks like an Electronic Eye. A few concerns:

  • Has Riot officially confirmed that his eye is indeed artificial and its purpose?
  • Does such an implant disqualify him from Badass Normal?

Regarding the use for the Fragile Speester trope for Jett, while she is definitely the most mobile Agent, I would like to collaborate more proof that she is more susceptible to damage than the other agents, since everyone has the same health and is still suspect to the usual insta-death conditions. What other abilities that other agents have directly contribute to increased survivalbility other than heals?

I believe further discussion is needed on this matter; otherwise, I will take the safe route and just delete it entirely.

It depends on how you use her mobility. For about a second after Jett uses either Tailwind or Updraft she has to take a second to pull out her weapon, making her a fragile speedster in that when she uses her mobility she is vulnerable just like being caught with your knife out is a death sentence.

However high-level players have evolved her from her closed beta assumptions to play her as an aggressive awper. If you use her mobility defensively she becomes hard to kill if you don't kill her in a single shot and therefore she can hold angles that no other agent can safely hold.

There is only one other agent with a defensive ability other than a self heal, which is Reyna's dismiss. She's not played as an awper like Jett is because while the ability to not get traded out is great, that safety is predicated on a kill while Jett's is not.

Therefore Jett is arguably the second hardest agent to kill in the game behind a Reyna that's fragging out. If played like most people play her in low ranks or closed beta, as an aggressive entry fragger, she fits the bill of fragile speedster but when played 'properly' she's an elusive, hard to pin down defensive agent that's technically no less durable than most of the roster.

I must reiterate again that a fast character using their mobility to escape damage does not disqualify them from the Fragile Speedster trope since said mobility is usually needed to compensate for either lower damage output or durability.

Jett's base durability and damage output is not any different from the rest of the cast, and as far as I know, Agents with self-heals are generally an exception rather than a norm, so Jett's overall durability relatively is not unique among the cast. My guess is that the main contention now is whether the potential to be punished should she misuse the offensive capabilities of her abilities qualifies her from this trope. The fact that she must reserve her mobility for usually one offensive or defensive play does make this deliberation harder.
