openLooking for old religious animal based cartoon. Film
I had a video in the 1990's with a religious style cartoon on it. It starts off in a jungle where a group of animals talk about this new baby being born and that he's important. They then decide that if the humans are travelling to bring this child a gift, then the animals should do so as well. The lion considered himself the king of the jungle and was very vain and arrogant about it, while the robin who brought the news of the child's birth kept getting annoyed at the lion's attitude. Eventually the pair decide they should be the ones to bring a gift and set off, meeting up with a tortoise and I think a beaver and all travelling together following the star to bring a gift to baby Jesus. Along the way they help one another when there's trouble, mainly for the lion who eventually changes his attitude and becomes nicer, and when they find the child they realise they haven't brought a gift, only for the robin to then sing a sweet song for everyone to hear.
I can't remember the robin's song, but there's a song the lion sings close to the beginning of the cartoon in the jungle that I know a verse of:
I'm numero uno the greatest and the best I'm numero uno and I lead all the rest for I am the strongest and I am the smartest and I believe the most handsome and I believe the loudest
I've tried typing the lyrics into google but nothing shows up and I've typed in just about every combination I can think of but I haven't found even a single image that leads me to finding out this cartoon's name.

Edited by loverofeeveeopenNetflix series
A new series, I think it was on Netflix. I don't know much about it, only that it was creepy and had a same-sex couple, I think they were girls. It was made recently (2016) If I'm not wrong.
openI don't remember much Live Action TV
It was live action, in pretty sure it was on Nickelodeon, but I'm not really sure. It was a show with teenagers, it had a kind of educational history theme to it. It had a lot of action (I remember one particular scene where they guy main character spider climbed up the wall [like the Spider Climb obstacle in ninja warrior] to escape the bad guys). It was kind of like a pre-teen National Treasure TV show, from what I remember. It was on in the 2000s (maybe around 2008). It wasn't Sci-Fi, there were no monsters or aliens, I think. It was like very, very unlikely realistic.
opensomeone please tell me, it's been haunting me for years Film
it was on a vcr that i had in around 2011 it was very old, with puppet like animals that worked in an animal hospital, people have told me that it's hilltop hospital but i remember exactly that they were puppets, not claymations
openCharacter pulls a smoking tag off of a light bulb Film
I think this was from a live-action film, but it may have been from a live-action TV series. It's been bugging me all morning.
A character is in someone else's home, and notices smoke rising from a lamp. They go over to the lamp and look down through the top of the lampshade, to see that there is a sales tag attached to it, resting on top of the bulb and smoking from the heat. They reach in to pick the tag off of the light bulb.
openChildrens book short stories lifeguard empty pool diving board Literature
As the title implies i'm looking for a book of short stories that I read at some point in the 90's. I remember one story that was about a kid that was scared to dive form the high board. The instructor tells him to come after closing time to practice diving from the high board. As he arrives he sees a girl dive into the empty ( as in drained of water pool) while the instructor cries. I think it ended with the boy being forced to climb up to the board by the instructor but I might be wrong. There is a chance this book was Dutch
open1970s/1980s "AI is a Crapshoot" sitcom episode Live Action TV
Years ago, I remember seeing an episode of a television series - fairly sure it was a sitcom rather than a drama or sci-fi series - in which three characters, including two men and a woman, were in a house where everything was controlled by a central computer. Inevitably, the computer broke its programming and started making life a living hell for the three. I quite vividly remember a scene where it forced them into the shower, fully clothed, and then switched the water on, and then in the climax of the episode, one of the two men gets the idea to feed the computer a Logic Bomb by telling a string of really awful jokes, which cause the computer to gibber incoherently and give off smoke before exploding. I even remember one of the jokes: "What do you call a row of rabbits walking backwards? A receding hairline." (Don't blame me, I didn't write it.)
However, the episode isn't listed under such likely tropes as Logic Bomb or A.I. Is a Crapshoot, and an IMDb keyword search has turned up empty. I'm almost certain it was an American series; it's definitely from no later than the mid-1980s, and it was in colour so I'm guessing it was from no earlier than the 1970s, but I have no idea what the series was. Anyone know?
openObscure Children's Literature Contest Anthology Literature
I think I've asked this question before, but I figure I'd ask anyways: when I was about thirteen (2005), I lived in Spruce Grove, AB. I was homeschooled and one of my short stories got put into this anthology that seemed to be from a contest. There are a few points I can remember about the anthology:
- All the text in the book was blue - One of the stories was about a competitive swimmer; her main rival was named Veronica, and it turned out that Veronica was doing steroids at the Olympics. - Another story was about ants becoming giant and the protagonists trying to save their families from the ants. - A third story was about a kid who fell into a toxic lake (I think he was near Drumheller) and ended up in the time of the dinosaurs; after hiding in the lake again from a T-Rex, he ended up back home. - A fourth story had a young warlock who ate sandwiches with batwings and tomatoes (his favorite!) and lived with his aunt and uncle. - a fifth story had the protagonists having every idiom come true when they said it. The last line (as I recall) was "I looked out the window. The moon was blue." in after saying that the idiom thing only happened once in a blue moon.
Those are just the stories I can remember off the top of my head; I think the cover was primarily blue with splotchy green and brown bits, and the cover text being white. Since this is just from one region and is pretty obscure, I don't think I'll be able to find an answer, but I thought I'd ask anyways.
Edited by Tanglemorphopen2000s kids show similar to Beyblade
So there was this show in the early 2000s similar to Beyblade but with Gundam looking robots that shot balls from theit chests. It had an anime type look and kids used the robots to battle each other. They made tous based on the robots too.
openRelatively old Chinese animation Anime
So there was a show I watched in maybe 2008? Give or take a few years. It was in Chinese and I think the main characters names were Xiao Qi and Mao Mao (a girl and a boy). I think they had a talking computer or something and they could travel back in time to certain time periods.
openWhat Mumfie episode was this? Western Animation
When Columbine happened, I was watching some episode of Magic Adventures of Mumfie on Fox Family. I don't seem to recall the title, though. Here are the details I can recall:
- There's one part where Mumfie talks to the viewers or something in his pajamas:
- Half of the episode has Pinkey chew on Mumfie's sleeve.
- The ending had Bristle is argue with Napoleon because he hurt Mumfie, and then russles his feathers. Then Bristle gives Mumfie a sweater he lost, and he walks off into the sunset. End of episode.
openNo Title Film
1) Some old black and white movie. Death comes to claim some guy. I think the guy had an apple tree that whenever someone goes up in it, they always get stuck and can't come down. So the guy asks Death to go up into the apple tree and get him one last apple before he dies. Death does as he asks, and then he is stuck in the tree. Nothing can die after that.
2) Possibly the same movie, but I think a different old black and white movie. Some rich people in a huge house are negotiating with Death, or trying to get out of a deal with Death or something? I'm not sure but Death is in their house for the duration of the movie for some reason, and he is supposed to take someone in the house. At the end, you think he's supposed to take that person, but then he takes off his hood and cape and announces that he wants to stop being Death. I think he fell in love with a woman in the house, or maybe there was some other reason? I mostly just remember my Mom yelling "Copout!" at the TV when I saw it as a kid.
openLA Based Show with a girl and her brother Live Action TV
This could have been a CW show - but i'm not sure. The main star is a girl who's parent's died? and her brother. I remember in the first episode she was in a car with her brother and they were about to drive out of LA but then they decided to go back. They live in an apartment complex with a pool in the middle and there's parties there often. That's all I can remember... Any ideas?
openWalking along piano pathway Film
I am very unfamiliar with this particular TV show, I assume it's about a late 90s early 2000s to 2005s kids cartoon. I remember one particular scene when the characters were walking along a pathway which was made up of piano keys. The pathway had a curve in it, but I think the keys were all different colours and the walls were made up of some other material. Another scene was when they were on the piano key pathway still and was walking towards an intersection, and took the exit walking away from the camera. I don't know any description of the characters, I am guessing there could be 2-4 of them, human shaped figures.
Keep in mind I am remembering from over 10 years ago, I'm 17 now.
openMystery ABC show, from the early 2000's
I can't for the life of me remember this show, what I do know: it played on the ABC channel in Australia, I watched it during the early 2000's, the show used several different puppets—ugly looking cats and rats I think, they lived in a grungy looking room with a dumpster. This is all I can remember. Please help?
resolved witch and talking cauldron Live Action TV
There was this show I used to watch in the 90's about witch who lived in a gingerbread, together with her talking cauldron. I think it had a minimalist cast of about three character per episode and UI seem to remember the witch using "heads will roll." a lot, might even have been her catchprase. I'm also pretty it was a British show.
The Ginger Bread House page is no help since it only has two listings under live action and none are what I'm looking for.
Edited by dutchguy1986open"Exotic" style film made in Hong Kong Film
I've seen clips and the end of this film around 2007. This is a Hong Kong made film, but it had an "exotic" look. I don't remember if it was supposed to be "1001 nights" or "Bollywood" style. I remember a character saying that when he is dreaming he thinks he is awake, and when he is awake he thinks he is dreaming. The only part of the end I remember was someone philosophizing the nature of mankind, and how man lived in peace with the dinosaurs. The dinos themselves were computer generated, so this film might have been made after 1993.
openBeast Machines: Specific Episode Western Animation
Can somebody tell me if this happened and what episode it was in? I specifically remember an episode of Beast Machines airing on Christmas Day 1999 but according to Wikipedia that did not happen, but I definitely remembering seeing an episode on that day, but I also can't find an episode description that matches the preview. It was Megatron vs. Optimus and it looked like Optimus Prime was going to sacrifice himself but I think the episode ended before we saw what happened. Any thoughts, and did it air on it's normal time on any markets you know of>
open90s Educational Cartoon Western Animation
I have been looking for the name of an educational cartoon (possibly European) I used to watch early in the morning in the UK when I was a kid in the nineties. The cartoon was set inside the human body and the main characters were anthropomorphised blood cells who travelled around the body explaining how things worked. One of the blood cells was an old guy who explained everything and died in the end only to be recycled into a new younger blood cell who knew everything the old one knew.
I apologise fir being rather ambiguous, but it is all I have.
Several years ago, I watched this scene in an animated film/movie (kid's show, anime) of a man being (maybe forcefully) transformed into a fire entity. This entity looked like just a normal person but retextured with a flamey/fiery texture. I think when in this form, he ended up semi-naked, lol.
I think this event was caused by experimentation, so some level of sci-fi is related. Think it was caused from a vaccine?
