Yes, Merci that has been bugging me for years.
Looking at the page it the Life series could do with some expanding, I will have to rewatch it at some point, if I get the time.

I have been looking for the name of an educational cartoon (possibly European) I used to watch early in the morning in the UK when I was a kid in the nineties. The cartoon was set inside the human body and the main characters were anthropomorphised blood cells who travelled around the body explaining how things worked. One of the blood cells was an old guy who explained everything and died in the end only to be recycled into a new younger blood cell who knew everything the old one knew.
