openThe Big Night Live Action TV
Is there a trope for when a monumental event occurs at night? Usually because it makes it more dramatic.
openScene on YouTube from unknown japanese videogame (maybe a bit NSFW) Videogame
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7AKiXY1Tmo I don't know if you can ask this on YKTS, but what game is this from? Nobody seems to know, except some creepy dude in the comments who wants our emails to tell us. Help?
openSpongebob episode with Spongebob being a lifeguard? Western Animation
So it's an episode of Spongebob Squarepants, and everyone thinks that to be a lifeguard, all you need to do is have white stuff on your nose, and so Spongebob gets angry (I don't know why), and he says "I'm so angry, I wanna get struck by... a flying ice cream truck!". He then does get struck by a flying ice cream truck, and ends up with white ice cream on his nose, so he somehow is a lifeguard now, but then Patrick starts Hollywood Drowning and Spongebob says, "Patrick can't drown if there's no water for him to drown in" (this line sticks out because he called it water when Goo Lagoon is meant to have goo), so he drinks the water/goo, but then swallows Patrick too and he's still drowning. I think it also has an Imagine Spot of there being gravestones in the goo and he tells them not to swim, again calling it water, by saying there are sharks and sea monsters, but a real shark and sea monster are offended because they think he's talking about their families.
openDrama with LGBT element (possibly on itv or channel 4)
I can't really remember this drama too well as I was younger when I watched it so details may be a bit sketchy. I think it was a 2 or 3 part drama that either aired on channel 4 or itv. I'm pretty sure I was in Highschool when I first watched it so it would of been pre 2009.
I remember there being a party and the main character being asleep or passed out on a couch and I also remember in the 2nd episode there wasa scene where 2 guys kissed in a lake or a river. Sorry I don't have much else to go on but it's been bugging me for the past few years and I'd really like to watch it again, so if anyone knows what it is please let me know.
openNo Title Music
I've been going nuts for a while to figure out the title of a pop song that has played around the beginning of this century. One lyric I can recall was "I can't go on without your love," which plays before a chorus that is basically a line sung four times.
Can anyone help shed light onto what that song was called, or at least the artist? That would be great!

openABBA (?) Song Music
I'm trying to remember a song that I think was by ABBA, although I'm not completely sure. I don't remember the lyrics, just the melody from one part. Here's what I remember:
- there was an instrumental break (not really a chorus) that was memorable because it was in an unusual timing, maybe 6/4 or 7/4. The rest of the song was in 4/4 as far as I can remember.
- it was a midtempo song, maybe 95 bpm
- this instrumental part had a syncopated rhythm and used a synth that sounded kind of like a flute (or maybe it was a real flute but probably not). For comparison, listen to the songs "Kung Fu Fighting" or "Funkytown". The riff I'm remembering sounded sort of like the high-pitched ones in those songs, but it was not either of them.
- the beat had a bit of a swung feel to it
- I am pretty sure it was by ABBA, but I've listened to a lot of their songs trying to find it, so it may not be. It might be by a different band, but it was almost certainly from the 1970s or 1980s.
Any ideas?

Alright:
1) A Korean horror/thriller movie I watched years ago, but still, don't know what it's called. It's about a webcomic creator who writes/draws about weird murders, and they happen to be true and (I think) her perception of reality and fiction are blurred, sort of like in Perfect Blue. I remember a scene in which her webcomics were being complimented by a guy about "how realistic it is" (IIRC) A scene I remember happening in the movie takes place in the night and it's raining, with a corpse of a girl under a car. (Again, my mind is a bit blurry)
2) This iOS/Android game. I saw my teacher play it once and tell the title, but it's been months and I forgot now. It's a metroidvania style game and the goal is to obviously defeat monsters/enemies in a randomly generated stage. The quirk is, when you die in the game, you respawn as a son of the character you played before, with different attributes (e.g. the next player character may be colorblind, making the graphics all grayscale). Sort of like Infinity Blade, but having a really clear difference in artstyle and story.

Hi again. I thought about some songs which I've heard on the radio once and I'd like to know how they were called + one song I don't know if really exist.
1. This song was some pop-or-so. I think I can recall some of the lyrics: (.....)wash up! (......) clean up! We are Happy, we are Happy! This is a wild guess of my terrible memory, but even if the lyrics weren't exact, they sounded like that. It was fast and the singer(s) was/were girl(s)
2. This song was more melodic and slower. Two or three girls sang it. The lyrics were something like "...find the magic key".
3. Something about this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvfD5rnkTws bugs me. The beginning and the refrain... I'm almost sure I've heard the melody before. Is there any song with a similar melody? It reminds me of something... Superhero-ish? Wouldn't somebody know a similar song? Thanks to everyone who'd give a tip.
Edited by Vicky125openA Reese's commercial from the mid-to-late 90s
When I was very young, I saw this really funny commercial for Reese's where a lunch lady gets sprayed in the face with chocolate. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it on You Tube. Any idea what it was?
open80's Animation with a weird robot
There was an animated show (movie?) on TV in the 80's (could possibly be earlier) it was a Sci-Fi show with a cast of characters who wore robes or tunics or something like you'd see if you tried to tell bible stories in space. I can't remember the lot but there was a buff middle aged guy with a beard two kids and an older guy with a white beard. Mainly I remember their being a gold robot shaped like a pine cone. It had scales or plates that could spin and allow it to hover and fly. The robot had a long nose. Any ideas?
Edited by marlondopenAnime where the protagonist fight teams of robots with his own team of robots Anime
I think the protagonist was called Commander Akira. In the show a Commander was someone who was allowed to have a team of robots that they'd use to fight other robots built for that purpose. The robots could make their own decisions but the commanders would direct them from a chair surrounded by a force field bubble. The protagonist had one (later more) teams of robots that could combine with the main one if necessary
openGundam but Extremely Tiny. Anime
A long time ago, I remember this old Gundam show where all the characters were about human sized. The main characters were a Strike and a Freedom(?) Gundam that had to go save a princess with a few humans, but there was this plot twist where the princess was fake, or something like that. I've been asking my Gundam loving friend and he doesn't seem to remember either, so some help would be appreciated.
openGame on App Store (FOUND) Videogame
I think this came out about two years ago, when iOS 8 was released. They had some games featured on the App Store, and there was this one that I wanted to download, but couldn't since I didn't have enough memory to download the latest iOS. It was called something like "Special Delivery," and it was pixelated with a good bit of pop culture references thrown around in there. The protagonist was a man with short dark hair that is spiked in the front with a five-o'-clock shadow. The in-game camera view was top-down. I think the object of the game was to deliver food to people(?). Anyone know what this is?
Edited by GitarooHeroopenHorror Movie With A Surprise Ending Film
I recall seeing this movie, I believe, on either Netflix or on television but it was never in theaters. Just to be clear about that lol
I can't recall the year but sometime between AFTER the 90s would be my best guess, in fact I'd say sometime between 2001 and 2008 since I believe it was before Obama was prez.
The movie started out as a kind of "traditional" women in prison or isolation-type horror movie, NOT a torture/splatter punk movie if I can recall, but closer in many ways to a Cube movie. It was not a Cube movie though, I seen all of those religiously, so I'd remember if it were (also there are only like three). The film's setting was also VERY dark, with passageways and the like.
In the movie a group of women are being held captive, tortured and killed in various ways (trying to cause fear I think) by a crazy scientist guy with white hair, for some reason I picture him with white hair but I may be wrong. The movie also had a sci-fi edge to it that became obvious at the end. It is revealed, if I recall during an escape attempt, the character we have been following as the main protagonist is actually working with the crazy people running the death camp.
She and her cohorts are scientists working on a government program because mankind—and to be clear they LITERALLY never mention this AT ALL earlier from what I recall—mankind is at war with an alien race of insect-like beings. However one of them dies because he is exposed to some strong emotion, he explodes. And so the government assumes that fear can literally kill these aliens...
However, it is revealed in a twist that what kills the aliens is, you may want to sit down, LOVE. Yes the love felt between the women in the setting is what defeats the aliens, their friendship and their caring and attempt to help each other, not fear. So while the evil government types wanted to torture them for fear in the end it was their love, their caring, et cetera which saves mankind. Presumably this was a prequel to the new My Little Pony?
No but seriously they literally end on the "friendship is magic" theme of defeating the insect alien things with love. It's actually a surprisingly good movie I would love to see again with my GF just to see her reaction.
And to be clear, it's not Cube, or a Cube sequel, NOT is it The Forgotten which also had aliens defeated by a mother's love but for different reasons. It was some kind of Straight To Video deal because I either saw it on Netflix or TV. I DID NOT rent it from blockbuster which is another reason I'm sure it was not in the 90s.
If I had to make a guess, I'd say it was around 2005 to 2008 but I forget the precise year and it wouldn't surprise me if it had been made like four or so years earlier from either of those dates.
I really would love to see the film again and any help would be massively appreciated!
openNon-fiction book on writing Literature
I remember reading a book (I think) on how to write better novels, which had a particular quote that went like this: "The only thing readers are truly interested in is other people" (or something along the lines), in the sense that if you don't write believable characters, your fiction will never be as emotionally engaging as it should. I thought that quote was from one of Sol Stein's books, but after skimming through Stein on Writing and How to Grow a Novel, I couldn't find it.

One day in the evening, I have heard an intriguing song in the car radio. Usually in this situation, I try to remember snippets of the lyrics that I can google. But with this song, I had no luck. The lyric snippets in this case are the words "aeroplanes" and "underground" - in the same sentence, thus it was something like "underground aeroplanes" or "aeroplanes flying underground" or some similar phrasing...
