I feel like it might be worth discussion more in the Real Life Section Maintenance thread, no? (I actually posted about it there at first before deciding this thread needed more discussion first.) I agree with the OP that the overall tone of the examples seems fairly neutral; it's more a question of whether this is one particular set of examples that are safer not on the wiki as a point of principle.

...Though I have to admit, I laughed pretty hard at the example about "the aptly-named Alex Malarkey."

Can we please stop abbreviating Role-Ending Misdemeanor? When I see REM, I think of the band (which has ironically never been subject to the trope).

@B Kelly REM stands for several things, I was talking about a trope here, not the band.

To be fair, I'm seeing a lot of historical examples - they predate Walt Disney's existence even. If they are historical examples, they could count, right?
