Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

It's a Zero-Context Image, or Just a Face and a Caption... and yes, it's pretty confusing out-of-context.
Maddox is probably the original artist of some online fanfic artwork (the whole thing can be seen here, I think I drew something like this 19 years ago when I was 12), and the maker of the page the image was attached to. And she's attempting an Entry Pimp of her own work...
1. We don't judge quality of art, but indeed I can't really tell what's going on.
2. Video game tropes can have images from other media types. Mass Monster-Slaughter Sidequest is an image from a webcomic. Granted, it's a comic depiction of a video game.
This should be discussed with Image Pickin'.
While I do think that the image is rather poor, at this point it's issue for an IP thread, meaning, someone has to have a better one involved.
I don't think there's an issue with non video game images for video game tropes and vice-versa. If an image illustrates the trope well, then it should be used by all means.
As to the last point, not everybody consumes a broad swathe of media, and webcomics can get pretty obscure to the point that only one troper even bothers to do the work. As long as the troping is up to snuff, there shouldn't be an issue with only one person contributing.
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose me
It seems a few days ago, a troper by the name of Maddoxsort added a page image to Sequential Boss. The image appears to originate from a Eureka Seven Fan Webcomic titled Eureka Seven: Paradox Makers. Now, from what I understand there's no rule against them putting this image there (from what I'm aware, it's generally considered better to take the image to Image Pickin', but as long as there was no previous image it should be fine). However, there are a few things about the image that concern me, and so I thought I'd start a discussion here.
1. Not trying to be rude to the artist of the comic, but the art of the comic isn't particularly good, making it rather hard to tell what's actually going on and how it relates to the Sequential Boss trope.
2. The Sequential Boss trope appears to be Video Game examples only, so I'm not sure the Webcomic's example even fits the criteria for the trope.
3. This admittedly relates more to the comic as a whole than just the image, but it appears that, ever since Eureka Seven: Paradox Makers page was created in September 2019, Maddoxsort is the only person to have ever edited it, which I find somewhat concerning.
Anyway, as I already stated, I find this somewhat concerning and feel it should be discussed.
