Online fan comics, basically amounting to a blending of Webcomics with fan fiction. Most Sprite Comics are this by default due to using sprites of characters from pre-existing properties; this is especially true if the sprite comes from a Licensed Game.
The likelihood of seeing one of these reach print of course is a lot lower as they occupy the same grey area of legality as fan fiction.
These, like original universe Webcomics, run the gamut from epic Original Flavour yarns, Cross Overs, the comic equivalent of Dark Fic, to gag strips featuring your favourite characters. Often these elements are blended together.
Webcomic of the Game and Campaign Comic are sub-genres.
- The 10 Doctors: Not so much a traditional webcomic as a funny and very well-written Doctor Who fan fic in comic form. The references come thick and fast, so if you don't know the difference between a Renegade Dalek and an Imperial Dalek, be forewarned—but not discouraged.

- The 13th Ghost of Scooby-Doo: A fan webcomic of Scooby-Doo serving as an alternate conclusion to The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo for fans who were not satisfied with Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost.
- Abe & Kroenen: An action figure Hellboy fan comic about the forbidden love of Abe Sapien and Kroenen.
- Abomination: A Bendy and the Ink Machine fan comic about the events leading up to the game itself.
- The Acronym: A Captain Underpants fan comic about George, Harold, and their friends developing superpowers and becoming a LGBT-themed superhero team.
- Across The Eras: A time travel themed fan comic based on Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go.
- Adapting to Night: Vinyl has lived as a Vampire for several years, but when a cult sets its sights on Ponyville she's forced to take action.
- The After Subtract: Basically, Bowser, Dr. Eggman, Ganondorf, and King Dedede team up to get rid of their nemeses once and for all. Mario, Sonic, Link, and Kirby team up to rescue their respective damsels in distress (Kirby's trying to get food) and fight the villains.
- Adding Zero: A sequel to the above. It is about the gang trying to get back to their dimensions when a Mysterious... villain(?) appears and make them fall asleep. They then awake in a game.
- After Zero: Mega Man fan-Sprite Comic by Some New Guy that utilizes the Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX universes.
- Age (In)appropriate: A My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic comic made by Pony-Berserker.
- AGENCY: A Massive Multiplayer Crossover comic starring Sandy Cheeks and Shadow the Hedgehog as they search for D.W. Read, Fox, and Marcus McCloud, who have been kidnapped by a mysterious organization.
- Ainulindale: A retelling of J. R. R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion's first tale.
- Akagi˛: Mostly follows the adventures of a young Akagi around the naval base, hijinks ensue.
- Aki-chan's Life: Follow the daughter of Asuka and Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion as she grows up in the world after living with her parents as her sole source of human contact for almost her entire life. It's also the sequel to The Second Try, for those who are interested.
- Akuma's Comics: Initially started off as a Sonic Sprite Comic, but soon grew into a Massive Multiplayer Crossover fighting comic of whatever the author is a fan of,

- Alternate History: An Avatar: The Last Airbender Alternate Universe fancomic centered around the concept of Aang being awakened 20 years after the beginning of the original series.
- Amy in Wonderland: This deviantART comic features characters from Sonic the Hedgehog in the world of Alice in Wonderland.

- Ask Dark Hour Bakura While technically an askblog, Dark Hour Bakura is a Crossover between Persona 3 and Yu-Gi-Oh! that plays out like a webcomic.
- Ask Chara and Friends: An Undertale webcomic based off the popular Ask Frisk and Company. It takes place in the so-called Underswap Alternate Universe, where, as the name suggests, several characters have switched places and taken each others role in the story. Like its predecessor, it starts one year after a True Pacifist ending as an in-universe blog for Chara.
- Ask Frisk and Company: An Undertale webcomic in the form of an askblog written and produced by Trash Queen and Canon Keeper. Taking place one year after the true pacifist ending, YOU (Yes, you) can send in questions to characters of Undertale. - Benders And Brawlers: This is a story about a bunch of kids playing a game similar to Dungeons & Dragons called Benders And Brawlers. The story being acted out in this game just so happens to be Avatar: The Last Airbender.
- The Bikini Bottom Horror: A horror webcomic based off of Spongebob Squarepants.
- Bionicle Manga: A fanmade manga based off of Bionicle.
- Black Adventures: A quirky Pokémon Black and White fan comic that owes a lot of its nonsense to the fact that it started life as 4chan choosing its own adventure.
- Bleach: Happy to Serve You: A Bleach fancomic written by Hardcore Hunter, and drawn into comic form by Gairon, which can be read on the artist's deviantArt page. The comic follows the comedic and thoroughly Ecchi misadventures of the Shinigami Women's Society which, after finding themselves in severe debt, are talked into working at a new Family Restaurant opened by Urahara. Funny Moments too.
- Blue Au-niverse: A Steven Universe askblog with webcomic elements about Blue Diamond's half-human daughter Nora Universe.
- Blue Milk Special: A comic retelling of Star Wars, with plenty of Alternate Character Interpretation.
- Boneheads: A Massive Multiplayer Crossover staring several skeletal characters.
- Bone to Blades: A fan-made JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part made by the same author who made JoJopolis. After Japan's emperor is assassinated, the suspects fall on Youta Yokata; in order to clear his name, he must find the real culprit while avoiding the assassins sent by the prince.

- A Complete Waste of Time: An MS Paint Fan Adventure by clandestineTechie, centering on a group of sixteen trolls as they play a game called META. What was originally supposed to be just a simple game session mutates into something very complex and trying on everyone as relationships are made and broken, another set of aliens is discovered, and of course everyone wastes each other's time.
- Components on Campus: A short-lived Crack Fic-style college AU starring the components from Starlight Express and featuring supporting characters from other musicals.
- Concerned: A humorous retelling of Half-Life 2, from the point of view of Gordon Frohman.
- Contra Farce: A Sprite Comic created by R. C. Powell. It is a parody of the the NES videogame Contra Force, the bastardized, Dolled-Up Installment of the popular Contra series.
- cool and new web comic: A fan-adventure seeming to initially be a Stylistic Suck parody of Homestuck, but eventually starts to develop a unique storyline separate from the comic it is based on.
- Count Mickey Dragul: A Darker and Edgier reimagining of the Disney universe, starring a vampire version of Mickey Mouse, with Awesome Art.

- CTHS: A Transformers G1-based parody that features protagonists Skyfire and Starscream as they wrap up their last year at Cybertron High. Hijinks ensue.
- Cuanta Vida: Probably the most known Team Fortress 2 fanwork. To put it VERY concisely, it's a BLU Spy's story of his time at 2Fort.

- The Devils Dragon: Iron Fist and Daredevil fall in love with each other in the middle of a silent war in New York.
- Diamond in the Rough: A short prequel to Aladdin, speculating on the origin of several of the film's magical characters.

: Based on the 1999 Bandai game. Follow the adventures of Hiro, and his digimon partner, Yasu, as they fight to save File Island from Analogman!
- Discovery (Neo Yi): A Transformers: Animated AU comic about a group of bounty hunters known as the Crescendolls, made up of such beloved characters as Prowl and Wreck-Gar. Given its creator, expect several crack pairings.
- Disney High School: A High School AU of various characters from the Disney Animated Canon, set in a world where Rapunzel and Quasimodo are step-siblings who were homeschooled until recently.
- DM of the Rings: The Lord of the Rings as a Dungeons & Dragons campaign.
- Doctor Whooves: A My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic/Doctor Who crossover comic featuring Lyra as his the Doctor's companion.
- Doctor Who Regenerated: A prettily drawn reimagining of Doctor Who by a pair of fans.
- Doki Doki Literature Girls: A fancomic based off of the popular horror visual novel Doki Doki Literature Club! picking up after the events of Monika deleting the game and Sayori demanding that Monika recreate the Literature Club so to give the girls a second lease on life.
- Dolan: A very memetic, very strange comic best described as Donald Duck meets Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff.
- Dominic Durgan: An Accentuate the Negative Remix Comic of Dominic Deegan.
- Don't Name It: A Homestuck Bloodswap story focusing on a mutant blooded Vriska Serket, and a game her and her friends play.
- Doraemon's Final Episode: The infamous online comic which is rumored to be the final story in the Doraemon franchise, stashed in Fujiko Fujio's vault. Sadly it's just a hoax, but it's a pretty darn amazing hoax.
- DOUBLE K: A truly magnificent Alternate Universe re-imagining of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann that stars Kamina and Kittan as a buddy cop duo. Notable for not only being more-or-less as gleefully ridiculous and over-the-top as the original show is, but also for captainosaka's unique art style (and some of the funniest facial expressions ever drawn).
- Down the Street: Going on with the Massive Multiplayer Crossover, this comic focuses on the classic but unlikely pair of Frankenstein and Dracula, who are sharing an apartment in a nearby building and on their relations with the main cast.
- Dragon Ball AF (Toyble): Set after the events of Dragon Ball GT, the comic involves a clone of Goku and a rogue Supreme Kai looking for Goku, and the rest of the characters fighting against them. The comic was Cut Short due to its author getting hired to work on the manga of Dragon Ball Heroes and Dragon Ball Super.
- Dragon Ball Hakai: A new golden fruit that signals the birth of a new Supreme Kai is growing. Due to the mortal rating of the multiverse being at an all time low, the Grand Zenos have made a Termination Announcement. One of the gods of destruction will be forced to step down. His or her replacement? Goku!
- Dragon Ball Multiverse: Continues the manga's story 10 years later, ignoring GT, consisting of a Tournament Arc in crossover of paralel world where the plot turned out different in several places, and is drawn and written in a style surprisingly similar to the original.
- Dragon Ball Multiverse An Earth Without Goku: A spinoff of Dragon Ball Multiverse, written by a different author, centered on the universe 3 and 9, where Goku never reached the earth. It basically retells the whole manga. Right now, it has reached 20 chapters.
- Dragon Ball Rage: A short webcomic where Beerus resurrects Cell to try and bring out Gohan's rage to see if he can surpass Goku in strength.
- Dragon Ball Reboot: An Alternate Universe comic set in a timeline where Gine followed Goku to Earth right before Planet Vegeta exploded, retelling the story's events with Gine now part of the cast.
- Dragon Ball Unguarded: Set before the events of Dragon Ball, following a young Freeza, Cooler and King Cold, serving as a fanmade backstory for the young tyrant.
- Dragon Ball Z Elsewhere: Follows the life of Yamcha after Cell saga. We discover some things about his past, about martial arts schools and about a new danger. And more of everything, we can understand what being The Zeppo meant for him. All of this with a tone varying from old DB comedy to a more mature and serious one.
- Drunken Jellicle Gang: The cast from Cats in a Lackadaisy style world.
- Dumb_RWBY: Affectionate Parody of RWBY that makes random (and offscreen) scenes from the show funnier than they should be.
- The Dwarfs, the Spirit and the Sorceress: A long, comic book-style comic about an adventure of the Seven Dwarfs from Disney's Snow White, including lots of OCs.
- Earth Bound Legends: Affectionate Parody of Earth Bound in Sprite Comic form, hosted by Starmen.net.
- EATATAU!!!: Story of a couple of Ttau soldiers in a setting that is totally not Warhammer 40,000.
- Eddsworld: The Beginning and the Friend: A Darker and Edgier Fan Sequel of Eddsworld.
- Elsanna – Bram Stoker's Dracula: A webcomic based on the 1992 film, but using characters from Frozen.
- Elwood (2015): A comic based on Arthur that takes place four years after the time of the show, with D.W. and her friends now being elementary schoolers and Arthur and his friends now being teenagers.
- Endertale: A fan-made comic of the game Undertale, taking place roughly three years after a slightly altered pacifist ending.
- Ensign Sue Must Die: A comedy Parody Sue comic when a woman named Ensign Sue becomes a member of the Enterprise, set after Star Trek (2009).
- Eons Ago: a Transformers: Prime dōjinshi depicting how Starscream became Megatron's second-in-command, and how the two came to fall in love with each other.
- Epic Mickey Graphic Novel: A fan made graphic novel retelling of Epic Mickey.
- Epictale: An epic Alternate Universe of Undertale heavily inspired by shounen manga.
- Evangelion 303: A mix of Neon Genesis Evangelion and Top Gun/Area 88 that replaces the Super Robot Genre tropes with military fiction tropes and sets the characters in an Alternate Universe where they are war plane pilots defending our modern world in a post-September 11th age.
