Yeah, unfortunately Example Indentation in Trope Lists (which the Indentation notifier links to) doesn't explicitly mention trope slashing. I could have sworn there was an Administrivia page somewhere that did, but I can't find it.
Anyway, I sent the Indentation notifier and added custom text to explain the "no trope slashing" rule.
It's mentioned on How to Write an Example, in the Sorting It All Out folder. I think it's mentioned elsehwere, too, but I can't remember where.
If nothing else you can use Indentation and also quote the section in How to Write an Example as part of the custom message.
